FSX picture[edit]

Hi there again, I noticed microsoft left a note on your picture of the American Airlines jet pictured in the Flight Simulator X article, stating that this must have been some sort of add-on. What specifically is this add-on? I'd like to mention it in the description. Thanks!

Microsoft Flight Simulator[edit]

I was wondering why exactly there is no article for flight simulator 2004? Would you know anything about this? Thanks, TheFSaviator (talk) 00:03, 6 May 2009 (UTC) I was wondering why because every other Flight Simulator version has it's own article, except this one. Maybe we could create one for FS2004? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheFSaviator (talkcontribs) 17:48, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Brian Tamaki[edit]

I have deleted your {{cleanup}} tag from the Brian Tamaki article. I hope you agree with the new article status. Alan Liefting 00:08, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Strephon Kaplan-Williams[edit]

I do not understand the reason you considered the biography of Strephon Kaplan-Williams unencyclopedic and that it should be deleted. I open here a discussion about this possible deletion, and I hope you could give some reasons. Stefania.m 22 Oct 2007 —Preceding comment was added at 19:21, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My original reasons were added to the Talk:Strephon_Kaplan-Williams and I have provided some more detail there, not sure if you have seen this? Please feel free to continue the discussion there. Hopefully you can help me out to get the article resolved as either cleaned up or removed. Icemotoboy 23:09, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, again! I am trying to improve the biography of Strephon Kaplan-Williams to get to the standards required, but i need more time. I am working on it. I would like to know if it possible a follow-up on what have I corrected for the moment. Better said I need to know if that applies to the standards wikipedia asks. I have done some changes with links and references to external sites , also quotes added. Do I get more time on it, or do I need to get in touch with someone else to approve a prolonging of the clean-up? Thank you! Stefani M.Stefania.m 30 Oct 2007 —Preceding comment was added at 16:55, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have placed all to of the old page on the Talk:Strephon_Kaplan-Williams Talk Page. A good place to start would be to copy everything back to the main page, and provide external links everywhere that I have placed a citation tag. The talk page is really the best place to discuss everything as well (rather than here on my profile). Simply visit Talk:Strephon_Kaplan-Williams and then click "edit" and scroll to the bottom. Also use : to indent text (you can use multiple : to stack indents as well).Icemotoboy 02:33, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

VATSIM[edit]

Good work on the VATSIM page, those references are great. I wanted to give you one for the MITRE section which you tagged with [citation needed] : http://www.mitrecaasd.org/vatsim/ details MITRE/CAASD's cooperation with VATSIM and thus 'verifies' that information. I'm telling you about it rather than citing it myself because you clearly have a good command of Wikipedia's referencing styles and can probably figure out how to work it in much faster than I. Thanks! 19:51, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Done, thanks for letting me know. Feel free to pass on any more. Icemotoboy (talk) 00:21, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Flying Club[edit]

I'm new to Wikipedia and I recently edited the page Virtual Airlines. I added the part on Flying Clubs. Now, I am a VATSIM member and I have seen a lot of people with an interest in non airlne flying environment. If I put it back on with no links and cite a source (not sure what) will it stay . Or I know you said that it really doesn't constitute as an airline, so does that mean it deserves its own article. Please help me out with this man. Flyguy92 (talk) 02:23, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(duplicate)Good work on the text, but we do need to make sure all our text on the Virtual Airlines page is verifiable ideally through third party references. As luck would have it, I found a section of one of the other references that referred to a Virtual Bush Flying Club, and have now added a link and a section of text. Feel free to take a look, remember any edits or additional information will need to be verified. If you have trouble finding references, let me know and I'll see what I can do too help. I'm keen to expand the article as much as possible, but only with verified information. Thanks heaps! Icemotoboy (talk) 02:51, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You AfD-ed this article but didn't finish the procedure. Are planning to do it or shall I help you? Greetings. --Tone 22:10, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

IVAO link on your user page[edit]

the link on your user page resolves to a disambiguation page, rather than International_Virtual_Aviation_Organization. I was about to change it myself (relying on instinct and prompting from that note on the dab page), then I realized it was a user page.  :) Just a heads up. Protonk (talk) 04:03, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks heaps for the heads up - have fixed, and the great work with the VG project! Icemotoboy (talk) 08:17, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

VATSIM[edit]

Thanks for the praise! You did most of the work. I just supported in AfD and added sourcing. If you want to work some more on Vatsim, try this link: VATSIM on Terranova. Terranova is a blog run by games researchers at major universities around the world. The posters (the ones who write the columns) are all interested PhDs and so can speak on the subject with some expertise. I wouldn't use it to source a really controversial claim, but it is a pretty reliable source for most things that might need fleshing out on the VATSIM page. You are more of an expert on that than I, but if you need more help just ask. :) Protonk (talk) 11:43, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Guild[edit]

Please do not edit the Guild page again to include your guild as the example. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.178.121.208 (talk) 00:03, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't been editing the "guild" page with my "guild" as an example. I've been reverting edits to add another guilds name, where such edits have an insufficient comment and no discussion in the talk page. Such edits need to be discussed in the talk page, as clear consensus was achieved on this issue some time ago. Personally, I would see that entire example section deleted - but my voice on that issue was in the minority. Icemotoboy (talk) 14:10, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re:Vandalism[edit]

This was not vandalism, but content dispute under a BLP. miranda 03:09, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I agree with you that it was vandalism: Allison's own website says that she stopped working for Star magazine in June of 2008, but Shoessss seems to have some ownership issues. 76.24.22.55 (talk) 23:14, 17 December 2008 (UTC) That was me, but I was mistakenly not logged in. Reply[edit]

I don't understand what you were saying. The request was denied because it is the TFA on the Main Page, which is expected to face heavy vandalism. Such articles are not meant to be protected unless they face unprecedented levels of vandalism, which as of now the article does not. —kurykh 22:42, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You reply[edit]

Thanks for taking the time to write me about my assessment. Good job on cleaning up the article and getting a well-deserved positive re-assessment; It was well-sourced and well written. You also taught me a new term that for my identity that I feel I should have known, so thanks for that. I hope to see you around the VG Project as I try to find more time to contribute. — Ost (talk) 18:23, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Vatsim screenshot 4.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vatsim screenshot 4.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

AVSIM[edit]

Ice, I am more than happy to provide you historical information on AVSIM, as you may need it. I am not sure under the Wiki policies that I am allowed to edit the AVSIM entry, but will be more than happy to assist and fill in any gaps via direct interview if you like. Thanks for creating the entry. You know where to contact me. Tom Allensworth —Preceding unsigned comment added by Avsim (talkcontribs) 13:17, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG[edit]

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Orphaned non-free image File:Fsx screenshot 1.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Fsx screenshot 1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. License tagging for File:Vatsim opensky1.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vatsim opensky1.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

YSFlight Deletion[edit]

Dear Icemotoboy,

I guess I'm a bit confused as to how you came to the conclusion that YS Flight Simulation System 2000 isn't notable. There are several English-speaking communities, the largest currently being YSFHQ.com (with over 28,000 members). There are also very large 2ch communities in Japan, and until a virus attack recently took it down, there was another community with upwards of 50,000 members at YSPilots.com. Before asking for an official deletion review, I kindly ask that you reconsider this decision on behalf of the YSFlight community. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.245.255.107 (talk) 20:50, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Avsim2005 convention 1.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Avsim2005 convention 1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. czar 18:23, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
