Sara Sidle Status on CSI
Hi! It is confirmed that she is part of the Main Cast because she appears on the opening credits of the series since season 11. She was recurring on seasons 9-10 because she was listed as "Special Guest Star" and she didn't appear on the credits ;). CBS Press Releases is not a good evidence, because they didn't listed her "recurring" in the next episode "House of Hoarders" but we can see her on promos of this episode... ;) DM-AVENGER (talk) 22:31, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- Unfortunetly, we need some evidence to support this. It does not matter that she is in the opening credits, because people have come and gone in the opening credits. Holly Gribbs appeared in the opening credits, but by the time the credits were made for the show, the creators of CSI knew they weren't going to stick with her. Same thing, Jorja Fox wasn't listed in the opening credits for 3 or 4 episodes after her first appearance in CSI, even though she was a 'main' cast member by then. Same with all of the lab techs, Greg Sanders included. Greg was listed by CBS back then to be a regular cast member but never appeared in the opening credits until somewhere in season 3(?). My point is, credits are not a good way to base if a cast member is recurring or main, we need some evidence in the article to support this. Jguy (talk) 20:44, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- No no, read xD; Holly Gribs never appeared in the opening credits. Was credited as "Recurring cast" in the two first episodes. Sara Sidle didn't appear in the first episode in the opening credits because... She hadn't appeared in the series yet. In the 2nd episode of the series, she appeared and joined in the main cast, as well, in the opening credits. Greg Sanders and Al Robbins appeared in Season 1 and 2 and they were credited as "Recurring cast" in the series until Season 3, where they listed as Main cast and they appeared in the opening credits :). When Sara left the team in Season 8 Ep. 7, she didn't appears in the credits of the next episode. When she returns in Season 9 for a few episodes she was listed as "Special Guest Star" in the Show, the same in season 10. But now she is listed as a Main Cast and she appears in the opening credits as "Starring". I think that this is a good evidence. We can't trust in a website where they have mistakes as I explained in my previous message. My point of view is the same as a lot of users. Sara Sidle is a main cast character again. - Again, I don't think it matters who appeared in the opening credits. So far, the only source that has been properly given is the one from CBS themselves. Perhaps if you think a mistake has been made, you can bring it up with them? Sara Sidle has also stated in her blog that she is not main cast. - I'm not trying to argue with you. But the fact that the most known icon for the Assembly line has always been Henry Ford. I don't see anything in any of these references that says that Galamb was the sole person to invent the Model T, the production/assembly line.

It may have been born on Galamb's blackboard, but lots of men had a hand in designing, building and selling the Model T, not just Henry Ford, or not just Galamb. On the C418 article you said that most of the references are self-published, the only one I see that's self published is one reference of C418's Tumblr, and maybe the Bandcamp if that's counted, the other references aren't self-published. Should the Tumblr reference just be removed, as it's not even needed anyway? SalfEnergy 22:36, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Generic images proposal
Your comments about file redirects at WP:VPR, section "Generic images", led me to do some testing. As you noted, Commons' image redirects are unprotected, but for practical purposes that doesn't matter because one cannot upload on top of a redirect. The situation is completely different here, as you can see by checking the history of File:Photo.jpg; I unprotected it, redirected it elsewhere, and uploaded a new image while logged in as my alternate account — everything happened easily, so I certainly agree with your implication that protection will be needed for generic-name redirects. Articles for creation/Xemium
I don't remember how I originally stumbled across this incipient article, but it intrigued me. I've just added an outside source or three to the Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Xemium article, including its generic name fluxapyroxad. I suspect that the article ought to be entitled Fluxapyroxad rather than one of the registered trademarks that it is sold under. However, I do not think that the article is ready for creation just yet. It needs categories, the plant lists need curtailing and reformatting, and the toxicity section needs expanding with more citation. While I may think that it is a notable pesticide (Strathmann, S., S. Walker, and J. Barnes. (2011) "Fluxapyroxad: A new broad-spectrum fungicide." Phytopathology Vol. 101. No. 6), do you continue to have notability concerns that I could address? any suggestions for improvement? Is there a problem if I just create the Fluxapyroxad article when I deem it ready, or should I resubmit it? I should note that Strathmann, Walker and Barnes work for the manufacturer, and Strathmann is on the industry SDHI committee. --Bejnar (talk) 17:41, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
