I understand about need for secondary sources. The published research papers for this bio can be verified in the respective journal. For example the Science article written has its verification is here:

Are not publications a secondary source that verify the Wiki Bio?, and can notability (albeit minor notability) be construed by the process of acceptance to a notable publication medium (like Science Magazine). If so, then can the article be reinstated?
Thank you for your kind and thorough note. I can understand your point from a Wiki policy point of view.
Some things to think about though: 1.) Many scientists quietly make valuable contributions validated by the publishing journal but not the community at large especially if the field is minor or esoteric-in these cases Wiki will miss this info. Say something is written in Nature or Science. Someone might say, "thats interesting, I wonder if I can get more info on it in Wikipedia?". Then they check Wiki and nothing is there. I think Wiki misses something in this case. You see, I am getting to the issue of what to do with "valuable information from a non-'Wiki notable' " person; I guess a policy issue for Wiki Board Members not for us.
2.) Some of the 30+ papers were letters or short articles, many others were original research articles. I dont see the point about focusing on the few that were only letters or commentaries.
3.) Searching the web, there have been a couple of third parties who have referenced some of the papers I have written in their paper- but not many, and I dont know how to find this in a general sense.

The Welding Institute
On 29 March 2008 you deleted my article on The Welding Institute citing 'blatant copyright infringement'. Please explain. I wrote the article myself based on personal knowledge and information in a book and a published artilce, both of which I acknowledged. Whilst I am very much a novice and may have made mistakes in the presentation I am completely unaware of copying any material subject to copyright.
If you agree that my article is valid, please reinstate it. It is particularly useful for those seeking the origin of the Friction Stir Welding process now in significant use by the US aerospace industry. The process was invented at The Welding Institute.

I have a request. On occasion i will go though when im real bored and revert vandalism. The tool i prefer to use is WP:huggle, im sure you have heard of it. My dilemma is that it now requires rollback on the most recent software. When i saw this, i was like hm..well maybe thats because one can really mess things up if they arent paying attention (ive seen it happen). When i was very first a new user, i made the same mistake, but an admin corrected me. I am requesting rollback. Im asking you because i have talked to you in the past and you were really cool, so like i kinda know you hehe. I wrote the Asset Protection entry and it was actually the above website that plagirized it. A lot of the content came from books and articles that I published several years ago, even before the above website was in existence. I have contacted them yesterday and they removed the page from their website acknowledging that they made a mistake. I just wanted to see if you could bring back the article "Massy Ferguson." I am not sure why it was deleted on June 9th 2007, but I was wondering if you could give me insight as to why so I can help clean it up if it were to be revived.
They are a fast growing band from seattle, and have already been touring around the world playing shows in South America, All over Europe, Mexico, and The Middle East for the US troops. They are releasing a much anticipated new album this September. They have toured with Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam, The Grateful Dead, The Bottle Rockets and many others,

A month and a half later I realised I never responded to your message. Going to KSC one time, would be really cool. Too bad it's not an all night drive but an all night plane ride for me. :) Regarding the backlog at wp:cp, yes it is really bad, the same for the backlog at wp:pui. I worked on both a whole lot a while ago, but got fed up with it, it is kind of depressing all the time. I will try to do better though and work there again some more. to former LOCE member, need your help.
Help us with our problem. The article is September 11, 2001 attacks. Using a word to define the same word is bad. The original version is something like "The September 11, 2001 attacks was a series of...attacks."
The title of the article was the result of a long 2004 debate. The use of the title in the introductory sentence makes awkward prose and makes the article title sound like a TV episode article. See that article talk page and help!
I am not sure if your deletions are automated or manual, but I will ask anyway.
I am new to using Twinkle, today actually is the first time I've used it. I was just curious, in the case the deletions of articles recently tagged by me are manual. Am I using the Speedy Deletion feature Twinkle correctly?
Yes, I am working on understanding the Criteria. I have been interested in joining in helping keeping Wikipedia clean for a while, and I recently finally decided to install Twinkle and New Page Patrol.
I am hoping that I can be a large help to you admins in keeping vandalism and spam down.

I've been worried that whatever admin came across it would throw their hands up in confusion and delete one or both of the articles that I worked on saving. What seriously are you on? Can you read English? How can someone who vandalize articles and is warned by several editors not a vandal? 90% of his/her edits have been reverted. I'm sorry I'm not on Wiki every waking moment to catch someone as soon as they make the edit. Just because he or she doesn't follow the usual pattern of a vandal doesn't make them one. Additionally, I made no comment to WP:3RR, so I don't know where that. I am fully aware of Wikipedia's polices, which is the reason why I requested that the user be blocked. Your justification of not blocking him or her was rushed and not related to anything I stated. As mentioned above, I did not state anywhere of him/her violating and three revert edit rule. Additionally, you claim he/she doesn't follow the usual pattern of a "vandal". Just because a serial killer doesn't follow the usual pattern doesn't remove the fact that they are a serial killer. As I stated before, he/she has added very non-factual or "quid pro quo" information to articles and they have been removed several times by various editors (along with warnings). Whether he/she is adding this information every hour or every other days, if he/she is being warned by several editors and his edits are being reverted, that says "vandal" all over it. The bottom line is you hastily rushed into your ruling without taking the time to investigate the matter. I understand that this is a hobby, however, you were nominated and given a position of authority on this site. You should take the time to do the things that are asked of you. Question on appropriate behaviour
Just have a look at this talk page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Amarnath_land_transfer_controversy) I was wondering if you think I was out of line. I stated in my edit (and often times otherwise) "Use discussion facility before changing and unchanging, as well as redirecting." I did the same in saying I was requesting a lock (which is ultimately out of my hand anyways. But did I do the right thing in my response?
Often times those involved in the debate (I can imagine those vilifying me are from the Indian side) get too emotional (see this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Amarnath_land_transfer_controversy#NPOV_Status.3D (which I also just realised he made the more 'productive' edit after his name-calling).

I hope you don't mind (if you do then don't respond), but just for future reference, what part was overstepped. My first part was trying to show them not to be uncivil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Amarnath_land_transfer_controversy#protected_for_1_week). In what was it uncivil. I got a message from the other person that it would have been best if I didn't respond to that accusation. Is that what would have been the best? (In case this comes across confrontational, I'm really not intending that way. I wouldn't get near swearing, especially in front of women, and katie at that ;))
i'll take you advice as you've seen this. It may be best to wait for some time, time to hit the books anyhoo. But was it this phrase: "I will forward the two of you to the wikipedia rules"? I know the cityvalu person, we've had agreements and disagreements before (you can see the text in my talk, his talk, and the article), but the IP and kashmircloud I didn't know about. I took a day away to cool off from that discussion. Yet no one seems to want to discuss, they all want to get their own edits in and re-edit counter-edits. Perhaps you (or another admin) should consider watching it even after the 1 weeks expires. Seems odd that the time to discuss has no discussion but mere blame-game-ing. Hi, KK - thanks so much for your help and suggestions! You're correct, I'm new to this Wikipedia thing. I'm finding it easy to navigate, mostly. So I'm learning as I go, and as my client, Diana Raab, comes up with changes and suggestions and other stuff she wants or doesn't want in her article. I appreciate all advice you can give me, and for not deleting the article - even though I have to keep going in and making changes, I think it's making me somewhat of a hero to my client! Very Good work on Star Trek- One Caveat

Your work on Star Trek is excellent. You removed two references to Imdb as a source. The second of them was I think justified. However, I believe that Imdb is to be trusted on info about awards regarding Emmy awards, release dates and so forth, but it's trivia sections are what is to be regarded as not so reliable. You did find another source to replace Imdb for the same info which was very resourceful. But to my knowledge, there is no compelling reason to not cite it for info on Oscars, release dates, and so forth. Just a small thought.--WickerGuy (talk) 06:37, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
