Difference of opinion concerning Autechre's genre

We do not agree on Autechre's genre. I may consider a slightly different approach to how they are listed, but when an article opens by correctly specifying "electronic music", you might imagine that is the band's primary genre. Not only is IDM a genre of dubious value (I realize its strong ties to Warp), it also isn't even their first-most influence. In other words it doesn't warrant exclusive sub-genre specification, where specifying "electronic" would be redundant. Autechre's portfolio is vast and draws on far too many aspects of electronic music to pigeonhole. Please do not consider eliminating it again. Pixel Eater (talk) 22:58, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Discussion on linking to streamed copies of albums

Wikipedia policy allows us to link to legal streamed copies of albums. It would be useful to draw up a guideline on how and when to link to such albums; however, there is concern that it may not be appropriate as the music would not be available in all parts of the world. Is the benefit of having access to the music for most users outweighed by the fact that some users will follow a link to find the music is not playable in their region?
