Please cut and paste new entries to the bottom of this page, creating a new monthly archive (by closing date) when necessary.

  • For promoted entries, add '''Promoted Example.ogg''' --~~~~ to the bottom of the entry, replacing Example.ogg with the file that was promoted.
  • For entries not promoted, add '''Not promoted''' --~~~~ to the bottom of the entry.
  • For entries demoted, add '''Demoted Example.ogg''' --~~~~ to the bottom of the entry.

Use variants as appropriate, e.g. with a large set of files, all of which pass, '''Promoted all''' is fine, but if one of them didn't pass for some reason, make sure that's clear.

Stunning moment of Japanese history; indeed of world history. The last major act of Imperial Japan, and the end of World War II. Adam Cuerden (talk) 16:41, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Nominate and support. Adam Cuerden (talk) 16:41, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support—Definitely an historic moment that was recorded. The quality isn't the greatest, but I assume that given the circumstances, no better recording can be found. I'll leave it to others to judge the description page, but I'm satisfied that this meets the criteria. Imzadi 1979  19:25, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support obvious historical value and importance transcending the inevitable quality issues. BencherliteTalk 22:42, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment—Is the translation available at en.WP or an external link? Also, what does the first half here mean? "The Empire of Japan (scripter), Emperor Hirohito of Japan (speaker)". Tony (talk) 13:41, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pulse of the Earth[edit]

What we have here is an entire album by a notable artist released under CC-by-SA-3.0. Is this a first? I'm more than a little pleased with it, as it just happens to be one of my favourite bands. The music may not be to everyone's taste, but what possible better sounds could there be for our article on the album? Sorry about the formatting if it is non-standard, I can't say I know FSC that well- if there's any additional information required, or if there is a particular formatting required, let me know.

  • Uh, are you kidding me? Obvious strong support. J, if you were the one who negotiated this, a massive thanks and congratulations on such an achievement. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 02:26, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong support - This type of feat is very much appreciated on both the artist's and the negotiator's part. Excellent work. EricLeb01 (Page | Talk) 17:54, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
