GAB

There is no need to place that it is currently happening because there is a template at the top of the page that already states that.--WillC 01:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
All I saw was you adding back in that it is in progress after Nici removed that.--WillC 02:15, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Did you have a edit conflict on The Great American Bash (2008)? If so did you retry to place you edit and did you copy before you saved from your last edit and paste in your edit on the second time instead of just retrying to place it in? I believe you copied the whole page before you saved. Then had a edit conflict and highlighted the whole GAB page and pasted in the old page. This is what I'm talking about--WillC 03:21, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: Sig

Well, if you go to "my preferences", on the top of the page, you'll see a section where it says "Signature" and next to it is a box, there you add where your signature is written at, Ex: User:ThinkBlue/Sig, and you add in the box, like this ---> "--Mwutz", and you update your preferences. You need to have a subpage, for your signature, in order for you to manually add the four tildes and submit your signature. I hope it makes sense. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:51, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Nice, I'm glad that I helped out. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:32, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Insignificant edits

Hello Mwutz,

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia using AutoWikiBrowser. Unfortunately, many of these edits, perhaps by mistake, seem to be trivial. The AWB rules clearly state that the tool should not be used solely for trivial edits, such as performing the "general fixes" function on a category.

With regret, further use of the tool in this manner could result in your right to use it being removed.

AWB now includes many automated skip options, and also the very useful RegExTypoFix, for correcting spelling mistakes. Consider enabling that, and then telling AWB to skip if no typo fixes are made.

Thanks,

xeno (talk) 21:02, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

No problem. Quite specifically the ones I was referring to are those that only added or removed whitespace. –xeno (talk) 21:12, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: Lego Batman

Thank you for noticing my lack of citations. I was trying to clean up the page, as some tidbits lacked definitive proof or sources. The citations I need were previously on the Lego Batman page, but it seems they are gone now. Thanks again.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lego Batman Coverart.PNG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Lego Batman Coverart.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:12, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Your RfA

Hey babe. I gave you a moral support because its very slim chances that you'll pass... but thats not to say that people dont trust you or that you have something fundamentally wrong. We see that your heart is in the right place, and I would suggest that you hit up some of the admin coaches after you've spent some more months and gain some more experience in the corners of the 'pedia. Thanks for the past and future hard work.  :) Qb | your 2 cents 13:29, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

a quick editor review

Hello, I'd like to give a few words of advice leading up to next time. You should set your "preferences" to require an edit summary before saving. I saw a lot of deleted CSD nom's. That's good. However, you might want to go down a notch on tagging for CSD. Scottish MP's are inherently notable, and I think you stretch "no context" a bit. Sometimes it's better to search for info and rewrite instead of tagging for deletion. Some first time editors are not terribly articulate.

You're doing some article building, which is good. Currently, some of the RFA Cabal demand extensive article building. Can't do too much. You might want to branch out of your comfort zone. Wikignoming is also good, but you need a lot of it to gain credibility.

I saw notices to people who'd had their articles tagged for deletion. that's good. Rarely does anyone over communicate.

I saw one AIV report that did not result in a block. Remember, blocking is a last resort, and it's good to give a full complement of warnings before reporting.

Keep up the good work and good luck for next time. Cheers, and happy editing. Dlohcierekim 14:55, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Regarding this

...and your conduct in general during your RfA, you've conducted yourself as a true gentleman. Good luck next time!

RfA Close

Mike - to echo some of the sentiments above, I wanted to give you extra support right here on your talk page. Too often we see RfAs turn into less-than-civil beat-downs and feelings get hurt. I hope you understand that the opposes were largely "come back later" rather than "you'll never be suitable" - and trust me, the latter type happens. This was not drama-filled, and constructive suggestions were given. Please feel free to reach out to me (or anyone who responded already) for pointers and assistance. We can always use more productive editors (and admins) on this project.  Frank  |  talk  19:46, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Hey, not sure if it's been mentioned, but twinkle has a nasty habit of (somehow) making valid bluelinks to AfD's it creates look like redlinks. It can be solved rather easily (open "edit this page" for the article in question, change nothing and click save) but it is something you have to look out for. I noticed the problem in this article, so i've corrected it, but I thought you'd like to know for any future twinkly issues :). Ironholds 22:01, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

No problemo :). It's an annoying bug, sometimes it'll do the link perfectly fine and then fail to add it to the AfD discussions properly, sometimes both will be fine and it will then simply not create the AfD page itself. I've no idea if a change is being worked on but when it's fixed i'll be a happy Iron bunny :). Ironholds 22:05, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome!

Btw, best of lucks in your next RfA attempt!...--Seba5618 (talk) 21:05, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Pointer: speedy deletion and the Snooky article

FYI, when an article is a clear candidate for speedy deletion—which Snooky was—you can just tag it with a speedy delete tag, such as {{db-nonsense}}. There's no need to create an AfD discussion page for those clear-cut situations. —C.Fred (talk) 02:17, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

D'oh, my bad. Can you pass the pointer on to him, then? Serves me right for not looking at the diff when I saw the AfD page in your deleted contributions. —C.Fred (talk) 02:24, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!

Murdered Out

Murdered Out is an unofficial album from Bobby Light, meaning it was only availiable for digital download. It has been taken down from its website (www.freewebs.com/bobbylightmurderedout) because of problems with the download links and site in general. I have album art which if you'd be kind enough to upload and place on the page since I have no idea whatsoever how to.(http://img299.imageshack.us/my.php?image=murderedoutso3.jpg). I believe the page should not be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Liaden Graham (talkcontribs) 20:44, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

EDIT: You forgot to look in the most ovbious place: YouTube. Here you will find what you're looking for: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Dirty+Girl+Bobby+Light&search_type=&aq=o —Preceding unsigned comment added by Liaden Graham (talkcontribs) 01:01, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello there. Unfortunately, just because you can play as each character does not make it notable - for example, all three Lego Star Wars articles and the Lego Inidiana Jones article do not contain a character list. Please don't add it back without further discussion. Thanks! Fin© 23:22, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I think have a section on them would be ok, but without detail other than their names, I don't know how useful that'll be at the moment. Perhaps it'd be better to wait until it's released, and then populate with the character's abilities and such? Fin© 23:38, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Personal Attacks

I reverted 2 edits that appeared to be an angry vandal. Here is one of them DougsTech (talk) 05:02, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Got to pop back into my aetherous counter-existence (offline) but I was wondering about that article you reverted Salem Alba. What I think I'm remembering is some speedy deletion template saying that the original creator of the article has blanked the article in an effort to remove it (not knowing how to remove it otherwise). If I look at the article history it looks like this situation qualifies? Jus' wondering... Hmm, I'll point DougsTech to my wondering here (hope that's okay) Shenme (talk) 05:38, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
