  • curprev 23:3923:39, 15 July 202498.206.30.195 talk 149,602 bytes +531 Entirely WP:OR coloring of Appalachia map now appears where best fits, in Culture section (since it's a WP editor's imagining of how region might map based on their here-published, heretofore-unpublished analysis of cultural maps of others. (That is, they're performing an original aggregation of work of 10 others, based on unpublished methodologues—not even the contributing maps being clearly sourced (see {{cn}} tags appearing). As a scholar, I recommend simply deleting this self-published mess. undo
  • curprev 23:2323:23, 15 July 202498.206.30.195 talk 149,071 bytes +400 Moved the most poorly supported paragraph of the lead, from second to fourth position (made it less prominent for its lack of sourcing), without sactificing readability. Dealt with the morass of WP:OR that is the note accompanying the thoroughgoing original ersearch associated with the map colouring that was done for one of the figures. (See the Notes section for edit.) Incroyable. undo

  • curprev 18:3418:34, 15 July 202498.206.30.195 talk 141,705 bytes +460 Made ARC creation lead sentence active voice. Replaced {{citation... lead}} tags with more accurate {{not verified in body}}, moving them to accurately highlight info in lead not main body. Clarification: Lead references to sociologic work are not the same mentions of sociologic work in article's main body. Again, discrepant representations of title subject result from adding fresh material to lead, rather than creating source-based content in article first, then summarising same in the lead. undo
  • curprev 17:4617:46, 15 July 202498.206.30.195 talk 141,245 bytes +759 Noting violation of WP:INTRO by current lead, in particular intro of new, unique material in lead absent in main body. Lead edits other than summarising have had as result discrepancies now, between lead and article—incl. re: boundaries of Appalachia (clear in lead, subject to debate in article), description of stereotypes (main body focused on history and its nuances, lead on nuance-lacking argument to dispel stereotypes), and re: argument timeline foci (lead on 19-20th, article on 21st c.). undo
