In Atari: Business Is Fun, Curt Vendel and Marty Goldberg reprinted the letter Nolan sent to Manny protesting his removal. The letter was clear that he wanted to remain in the job, so he did not quit voluntarily. It is true that even though he was fired as Chairman and Co-CEO, Warner wanted to keep him on as an advisor, and he declined that role, so you may be able to say he quit the company. But he was fired from his roles. undo
