You gave no explanation for [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=David_Axelrod_(musician)&diff=538555700&oldid=538554481 this edit]. I was hoping that you were planning to return, with it rewritten in better prose, with references. Is that the case? The article needs a well-written and referenced paragraph or two on the widespread use of his music as samples - if you're not intending to do that, I might get round to it some time. I am not trying to vandalize any page on Wikipedia in any way, shape, or form. I really hate how people keep telling me that I'm vandalizing when in reality, I'm just editing pages. Anyway, "Harlem Shake" is a trap song. It is said to be a trap song all over the internet, including the source that was used, so I would be correct but I'll let you change it. OMG! Their design was dope! Modern and everything, they didn't have need to change it. Now wtf is with those circles. :/ Billboard must complicate something... always! — Tomíca(T2ME) 15:15, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Scroll to the link and see on the right side you can find a legend on what the circles mean. Btw, did they delete the archives :O? — Tomíca(T2ME) 15:26, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Aaliyah (album) FAC

Hi Dan56, thanks for your note. Unfortunately, I can't remember the last time I edited an FAC review page, and my infrequency there probably means that I'm not the best person to ask when it comes to reviewing the article to meet the exact FA critieria. I will say here, however, that Aaliyah (album) looks like an impressive, quality article, and I'd be surprised if it didn't pass the review. Best. Acalamari 23:38, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: FAC Aaliyah (album)

Sure, I'd love to. I'm not all that familiar with commenting at FAC reviews, though. Is there any specific way to do it? SnapSnap 16:28, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done. :) SnapSnap 04:40, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Hey Dan! How are you? I just wanted to tell you that I nominated "Cry Me a River for FA. Catch by if you can... Thanks :) — Tomíca(T2ME) 18:22, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dan. You commented on my involvement on Kanye's All of The Lights. I did produce the orchestral session, brass and strings for that song and am down as a co producer. I was just linking it to the All of the lights page. Im a little new to wiki editing and would appreciate some help? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TommyD

The Weeknd article change

Hi Dan!

The change I made was I added the word 'often' to the sentence 'The Weeknd sings in a falsetto register'. I don't have a written source for this but when I listen to his music I hear that he doesn't always sing in the falsetto register, he also uses the modal ('normal') register. Splitting hairs maybe but anyway :)

Cheers!

Edit: the sentence 'The Weeknd sings in a falsetto register' suggests that he ONLY sings in the falsetto register. The source article says '[...] were it not for the captivating bravado of The Weeknd’s dark, daring falsetto'. It doesn't say he only sings in the falsetto register. This has nothing to do with aesthetic opinion or subjectivity, it's an empirical fact that he also sings in the modal register a lot of the time, which can be derived directly from his music. I don't think it's necessary to wait for an article by a professional journalist that says 'The Weeknd sings in both the falsetto and the modal register'.

Edit: Okay I get it, in the end you're correct of course. It was splitting hairs to begin with, funny how we've already spent so many words on one word ;) I guess to me that sentence just suggests he only sings in falsetto, but maybe that's my problem. For instance if someone were to write 'The Weeknd eats vegetarian food' with a link to a picture of him eating some broccoli, that would suggest he's a vegetarian, but he may well always have a huge T-bone steak with his vegetarian food ;P

David Axelrod (musician)

You gave no explanation for this edit. I was hoping that you were planning to return, with it rewritten in better prose, with references. Is that the case? The article needs a well-written and referenced paragraph or two on the widespread use of his music as samples - if you're not intending to do that, I might get round to it some time.
