Medical school at Salerno

If the reference is to be believed, this isn't strictly a copyvio, since it would suggest what that site holds is a text dump of an entire book, published in the US in 1911, which would make it public domain. Please look at the reference format: the original Depleted uranium has raw inline URLs, while Depleted uranium (new refs) has new <ref>...</ref> format references. There are two problems: First, some people think that a banned user created the new version with the expanded references in the new format, but that doesn't seem to be the case; second, some of the expansions are controversial and will need to be folded in. Unsigned posts

I did leave a request on the userpage of the individual who asked all those questions. Sorry if it seem to clutter the reference desk, but please note that it takes a certain amount of time and effort to search through the history file and find who posted an anonymous question and then to note on the reference desk whose question it was, and it also serves to let those who answer questions know that an individual may be posting a huge number of random questions just to see editors run in circles answering them, and that editors may choose to ignore questions when someone posts a great many anonymously at the same time. If you know a short cut which more quickly annotates who the anonymous editor was, please let me know. It takes me longer to find who posted the question and to note that on the reference desk than it takes someone to ask a lot of possible frivolous questions and waste the time of those willing to spend their spend their free time answering questions people really need or want answers to. Your userpage says you program the 8086. That was current decades ago when I studied electrical engineering. Right up there with the PDP-8 computer. Well, I'm studying electrical now, and we learn with the HC12 and 8086 still. And no, there really isn't a shortcut. However, you should be able to tell from the history text being black instead of grey (commented) when it's a new section heading, which helps in speeding things up. I see that someone added a troll warning after I identified the anonymous poster. That was my intent, but I wasn't sure whether a troll warning violated "assume good faith." Like maybe the individual just got very curious all of a sudden about a great many different wierd questions. The PDP-8 was fun to program. You could do assembly language with its 12 bit words and indirect addressing. You could run Fortran (a subset of Fortran 2) on a PDP-8 with 4K of memory. (no tape or hard drive)The source code was prepared on punched paper tape with a Teletype terminal. The compiler tape was fed into the computer followed by the source code, and the computer punched a tape which was fed back in, as best I recall, after you fed in a tape with a linking loader or some such. Katakana in signature

I couldn't help but notice that the katakana in your signature is a bit off. You don't need a tenten on the u to make a w- combo. A normal u and then a small i (or e or o) is what you'd need.

Toomuchtrivia tags

Many of the tags were added to pages that had only three or four trivia notes. I'm sorry I did not have the time to look over and review each one individually, but I believed, as I was right, that other editors such as yourselves would reinstate if the tag did indeed make sense. However, when this ip address had more than a hundred edits all with the same tag, and all within a couple of minutes of each other, how can it be anything but disruptive. I cannot find the word trivia mentioned in the manual of style page. The idea of removing trivia is a personal judgment held by a lot of editors, not official policy, and it is not of merit to just decide that that opinion is right and impose it on the project as a whole. Please, look at the edit history of that ip address; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/68.165.76.174 . These tags were not justified in many cases, and it seems obvious that little thought was given as to whether or not the tags were justified, as they were added to virtually every page the user viewed, and they were added on an average of one every three minutes. I'm not saying the idea of getting rid of all trivia should not be discussed, merely that until it becomes official policy, a move like this is disruptive and is borderline vandalism. If this move was of merit, the user would have signed in and stood behind the edits. the fact that it was anonymous on top of all the other issues with it makes it even more disruptive.TheGreenFaerae 00:41, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Dude, you're kidding me right? NO tank can hold themselves against a BLM overnuking, unless the BLM has seriously gimped EQ, or the tank is seriously pimped. It's just not gonna happen, especially considering that guy's a noob, he's probably still in Valkurm or Qufim! No way for a tank to keep hate that early on. Actually, the most effective tank I had in qufim was myself, as a DRG/WAR...Platoon lance kicked ass back then! Well, as far as hate goes... Afd tag removal etc.

You recently corrected this removal of an AfD notice. Thank you. The editor that removed that notice cut and pasted that notice into two other articles (111 Pegasus Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron and RCSCC Undaunted. But seeing that the triple x is always used as a separately pronounced pseudo-acronym/stand-in for something and is evenly rendered in all articles listed on the XXX disambiguation page (including the Wiktionary entry), I did not see much of a point in trimming it down specifically for the manga. After all, a title starting with three identical consonants will always retain a stylized touch and this way we would at least allow for a typographic distinction between the components (kinda like we do it with eBay and iPod) without pertaining to brand management or hurting readability by much.

By the way - and this is kinda off-topic, hence I'm messaging you here - thanks for making this clear distinction between your personal preferences and what you consider best for Wikipedia. I was beginning to think I was the only one around with that philosophy, you know, with all the people around who at least to some degree appear to base their arguments in favor of stylized typography in personal fandom.

You're welcome. I try to keep things neutral and fair and I try to apply logic as best as I can. As for personal philosophy, I do generally support the guidelines because I understand the reasoning, but guidelines really are just that: guidelines. Anna vs. Ana

Well, if I'm wrong, I apoligize. I only own the first volume, but at the end of it says "Anna" when it's talking about a new character being introduced in the next volume. I'm referring to the Tokyopop version. I have volumes one and two. Hmm, you're right, the preview for Ana in volume 1 is Anna. But in volume 2, they switched back to Ana. I don't have a scanner here though, but chapter 11's title is "Ana", 12 is "Ana's House", 15 is "Ana vs Miu", and the character artwork label her as Ana as well. I guess it was a mistranslation at the end of volume 1, which I did not notice till you mentioned it.
