You're welcome. Hal Jespersen 20:34, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
By the way, why did you select a gray color scheme? It wasn't Confederates defending Washington, DC. :-) Hal Jespersen 20:36, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Welcome!
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, offline publication, article improvement contests, and other tasks.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Carom 23:50, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi, the edits are ok, thanks for the help. A lot of copyedit is still needed for the article, and unfortunately there are very few people to do it. Best regards, --Eurocopter tigre 17:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Fort Greble
Hi JKBrooks85. You are off to such a great start on the article Fort Greble that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. The Main Page gets about 4,000,000 hits per day and appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. If you do nominate the article for DYK, please cross out the article name on the "Good" articles proposed by bot list. Also, don't forget to keep checking back at Did you know suggestions for comments regarding your nomination. Again, great job on the article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 21:06, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Well done JKBrooks. A good and interesting article. We always need more historical topics on DYK so please keep it up. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 02:47, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Military history of Gibraltar
Hello, some time ago you were involved in helping with the article Military history of Gibraltar during World War II during its A-class review. I have added some new material and tidied up here and there. If you have time, have a look and let me know what you think. Perhaps you may have some suggestions because I wouldn't mind putting it up again for another review. Cheers, -- Chris B • talk • contribs 19:14, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message, I'm glad you like the changes. Do you mean a timeline of the main events throughout the war in Gibraltar? That would actually be a good idea, I hadn't though about a timeline as such apart from the chronology of submarine attacks, which I recently added. A bit like a breakdown of the entire article, right? -- Chris B • talk • contribs 12:44, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Re:Thomas C. Hindman FAC
Hi there. Upon request, I have added three more images to Thomas C. Hindman. I have been scanning these images from Diane Neal's Lion of the South: General Thomas C. Hindman, the book I used as a major source in the article. I will continue to add more images later. Thanks, Nishkid64 (talk) 02:23, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
