Despite his reclusive personality and common loyalty to the rest of the organization. Sometimes he can be very naive, such as when he communicated with other people during his off time as well as when he engages new enemies. Setsuna's identity is known by Marina Ismail, princess of Azadistan, because of a chance encounter and Setsuna's brash attitude. Because of his personal history and his relationship to Marina, Setsuna keeps a tight watch on Marina's rule of Azadistan, even making personal visits to the royal palace to speak to her. Although the circumstances of their "friendship" are quite chaotic and unlikely, they seem to maintain some respect for each other, as Marina has never told anybody of Setsuna's secret, even with her dislike of the Gundams. Setsuna sent her a letter before going into their final battle against the UN, talking about his desire to find and eliminate the distorted parts of the world, stating that by the time Marina read it he would be 'gone'.

Lockon decided to join Celestial Being after losing his parents and little sister to terrorists in Ireland; because of this, he loathes terrorists. He has an identical twin named Lyle. Each year, they bring flowers to their parents' grave. However, Lockon has made a habit of not being seen by his brother.

As the eldest pilot, he is considered the team leader of the Gundam Meisters, and sports a more easygoing, flamboyant personality as compared to the other Gundam Meisters. He owns an orange Haro to aid Dynames' defense and movement when sniping. He is also a capable sharpshooter with conventional sniper rifles. Coincidentally, the terrorists that killed his family were members of the Kurdish guerrilla army, which Setsuna was forced to be a member of. It was alluded that he knew of Tieria's origin as something other than human. Lockon lost sight in his right eye from an injury taken from defending Tieria in a battle against joint Union and AEU GN-X units. Lockon went to fight Ali Al-Saachez despite his injuries, fueled by his hatred of the KPSA for their bombings in Ireland that killed his family. After seemingly destroying Saachez in the Throne Zwei, Lockon is caught in the explosion of the GN Arms cannon and was most likely killed.

Allelujah spent his childhood as an orphan in the Human Reform League. He is usually gentle and quiet.

Allelujah's left eye is grey, and most situations, Allelujah's hair completely conceals his right eye from view. While generally gentle and rational compared to the other Gundam Meisters, he has another harsher, unstable, and outright sadistic alter ego, named Hallelujah inside him. The Hallelujah persona emerges when he senses another like him, such as the Human Reform League soldier, Soma Peries. When the change in personality occurs his hair shifts to cover his left eye and his right iris is shown to have a golden hue. All indications seem to point that Allelujah/Hallelujah harbors a grudge against the Human Reform League for conducting superhuman experiments on children, of which he was one of the subjects. Whether his iris' change of color during his "switch" is an indication that he is heterochromic or as a result of the experiments done to him is currently unknown, although the case is most likely the former due to the events of the season finale. Hallelujah emerged when the young Allelujah was cast adrift in space with other "failed experiments": children involved in the superhuman experiment that failed to meet expectations, but fortunately he was just an "imcompleted experiment"(meaning just "passed") only. Faced with certain death due to oxygen depletion or a chance at survival by killing everyone else on board, Allelujah finds that he could not bring himself to kill the other children. The mental and emotional strain of the situation created the personality of Hallelujah, who is merciless and only interested in his own survival, and it was this personality that allowed Allelujah to pull the trigger and survive. Since then Allelujah has been living with his other self, as well as the knowledge that even though it was Hallelujah who does the killing he is equally responsible. In the last episode of season 1, Hallelujah removed his helmet & lift his hair up, so that both he & Allelujah can combine to become the ultimate super soldier with killing instincts and high intelligence. He is injured in his right eye during the fight and Hallelujah tells Allelujah he'll be "going ahead" before vanishing, possibly implying a merger of the two personalities and the "death" of Hallelujah. Allelujah discovers that Soma Pieris is actually a girl he knew named "Marie". His whereabouts as of the end of Season 1 are unknown.

A boy with a rare kind of beauty, his history, nationality and origins all a mystery. Within his gentle tone, he can give a sense of cold intentions. Values the mission above all other issues, including life, and doesn't show any 'concern' for his teammates. Tieria seems extremely loyal to Veda, and will go to any length to ensure the secrecy of Celestial Being remains what it is, a secret, even if he has to kill other Gundam Meisters himself to achieve this end. Compared to the other members of Celestial Being, Tieria seems to be more disagreeable, generally not socializing with any of his comrades, and often expressing disapproval of them, including Setsuna F Seiei, Allelujah Haptism, and even his "superior", Sumeragi Lee Noriega. His eyes seem to glow with a digital, rainbow-ish hue when activating the mobile suit GN-004 Nadleeh from GN-005 Virtue. A similar effect occurs when he interfaces directly with Veda. However, under his coldness Tieria is emotionally fragile. He feels that he has lost his qualification as a Meister and he blames himself for Lockon's injury and probable death. Filled with a desire to avenge Lockon and prove himself, he returns to battle. After his unit is severely damaged at the end of season 1, Tieria comments that the 'plan' will still go on before ejecting his GN-Drive. Tieria appears to be severely injured from his fight against Patrick and said he would be 'going to where Lockon is'. It is unknown if he was rescued in time or if he died aboard the un-powered, heavily damaged Nadleeh. A character that resembles or is Tieria is seen with Louise.

Trinity is a part of a splinter group of Celestial Being that claim to be a secret second group of Gundam Meisters of Celestial Being proper. They remained idle until the primary Gundam team consisting of the Gundams Kyrios, Virtue, Dynames, and Exia were about to be captured during their intervention in Taklamakkan Dessert, at which point they revealed themselves to the world and saved the primary Gundam team.

The oldest of the three siblings, he undertakes the mission to eradicate the world's strife. He began his armed intervention activities with his younger siblings Michael and Nena. He is a calm person who faithfully handles his given mission while he commands his problematic brother and sister. A good marksman, he handles the firing of the GN Mega Launcher equipped on the Gundam Throne Eins. Johann was killed in Episode 22 by Ali Al Saachez. Ali took advantage of Johann's shock of Micheal's death to disarm him, but let go of him for a Gundam battle. He stole Throne Zwei and used it to destroy Throne Eins with Johann inside. Johann reflects on his life and how he and his siblings were 'created' for the purpose being Gundam Meisters.

The younger brother of Trinity. Impulsive, he immediately bares his fangs at people who oppose him. Similar to his personality, he favors brutal tactics for mobile suit combat and specializes in attacks with the Gundam Throne Zwei's all-range weapon, the GN Fangs. Prefers to carry knives than guns. Said to dote on his younger sister, Nena, he has a sister complex on one hand while still abiding by and complaining about orders from the eldest brother, Johann. Their hidden base was discovered by the world government and was forced to flee. During their hiding, Ali Al Saachez found the Trinitys and claimed to only talk. Ali quickly shot and killed Michael and disarmed Johann. Ali wanted a fight and allowed Johann to get into his Throne Eins. Ali somehow managed to bypass Throne Zwei's biometric scanner (which should allow only Michael to pilot Zwei) and killed Johann in battle.

Tactical forecaster of the Celestial Being mothership Ptolemaios. Not a captain but essentially the top ranking officer on the ship so she takes command. She basically plans all the tactics the Gundam Meisters take part in. Her strategic predictions are almost always very accurate. However, she enjoys drinking, even in the middle of an operation, and is frequently seen with a liquor flask in hand. She went to college with Billy Katagiri, and they both had Leif Aifman as a professor.

A UN Ambassador for a Union member nation, Alejandro is secretly an Observer for Celestial Being, but implies that he has limited access to Celestial Being's deeper secrets. Throughout the series, Alejandro covertly manipulated the actions of Celestial Being's operators thanks to Livonse's ability to hack Veda. He eventually showed his true colors in the final battle between the UN and CB when he fought in the mobile armor Alvatore. Alejandro was killed by Setsuna F. Seiei during the ensuing battle and betrayed by Livonse shortly before his death.
A UN Ambassador for a Union member nation, Alejandro is secretly an Observer for Celestial Being, but implies that he has limited access to Celestial Being's deeper secrets. This is a list of fictional characters from the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 continuity of the Gundam anime metaseries, organized by nation and faction.

Celestial Being

File:Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - 03 034 0001.jpg

Aeolia Schenberg (イオリア・シュヘンベルグ)

  • Voiced by: Chikao Ōtsuka[1]

An academic born in 2051 known to have made significant contributions in the areas of physics and engineering; believed to be the founder of the private paramilitary organization Celestial Being, which pursues the complete eradication of armed conflict. Of the few manuscripts of his still in print as of the beginning of the 24th century, the most notable is a 2090 dissertation describing a potential solution to the global fuel crisis — the theoretical basis of the combined orbital elevator and photovoltaic energy system, the construction and defense of which he foresaw to employ humanoid machines not unke mobile suits. As the level of technology available at the time of publication was insufficiently advanced to realize the project, his views received little public attention. Following 2101, he is said to have dedicated himself to the advancement of space colonization, and is thought to have eventually died off-planet. In 2307, at the initiation of Celestial Being's aggressive military intervention, he appeared in a worldwide broadcast announcing the existence and intentions of the organization. His body was found to be on the Moon, held in cryogenic stasis within Veda, intending to awaken when the world is rid of conflict. However, soon after this discovery, Alejandro Corner shot him. He is confirmed to be dead as he was shot at the head by Alejandro. The shooting caused the activation of the Trans-Am systems of the four original Gundams.

The name Schenberg may be a reference to the Brazilian electrical engineer and physicist Mário Schenberg. His historical significance bears a resemblance to that of the Russian rocket scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, the real-world originator of the orbital elevator concept.

Gundam Meisters

Within the organization, members designated to pilot mobile suits of the Gundam production line are referred to as Meisters (マイスター), German for Master, and are typically addressed by alias. As such, the names in the entries below are codenames.

File:Gundam 00 11 Large 12-1-.jpg

Setsuna F Seiei (刹那・F・セイエイ)

Having been discovered by Celestial Being at the age of 14 for having special potential as a pilot, he is currently a Gundam Meister for their organization. He can be described as taciturn and comes off as a knowledgeable young man. Resides in Japan when not on Celestial Being duties.[2]

Setsuna's real name is Soran Ibrahim; Setsuna is his Gundam Meister codename. Six years prior to being recruited into Celestial Being, he was a child soldier in the war-torn Kurdish Republic. [3] He murdered his own parents under Ali Al-Saachez's influence in order to prove his devotion to God,[4] and hence bears a deep hatred towards Saachez. Due to his previous religious brainwashing (and awakening from it), Setsuna no longer believes that God exists within the world. Setsuna believes that war can only be stopped through direct confrontation, and therefore has little tolerance for diplomats and politicians, believing that their "peace talks" only lengthen the conflict and cause more casualties. In addition, he sees the Gundams both as the tools for bringing about peace in the world and the symbols of change, and thus is trying to "become" a Gundam himself, aka a tool for peace and symbol of change.

File:Lockon-06-animestocks-com--1-.jpg

Lockon Stratos (ロックオン・ストラトス)

  • Voiced by: Shinichiro Miki[1]
  • Age: 25 (KIA)
    Height: 185cm
    Birthdate: Mar. 3, 2283
    Birthplace: Ireland
Other Designations: Neil Dylandy (real name)
  • Unit: GN-002 Gundam Dynames

Lockon decided to join Celestial Being after losing his parents and little sister to terrorists in Ireland; because of this, he loathes terrorists. He has an identical twin named Lyle. Each year, they bring flowers to their parents' grave. However, Lockon has made a habit of not being seen by his brother.

As the eldest pilot, he is considered the team leader of the Gundam Meisters, and sports a more easygoing, flamboyant personality as compared to the other Gundam Meisters. He owns an orange Haro to aid Dynames' defense and movement when sniping.[2] He is also a capable sharpshooter with conventional sniper rifles.

File:Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - Allelujah Hallelujah.jpg

Allelujah Haptism (アレルヤ・ハプティズム)

  • Voiced by: Hiroyuki Yoshino[1]
  • Age: 19 (episodes 1-11), 20 (claim made by Allelujah in episode 11; possibly episode 12 onwards) (MIA)
    Height: 186cm
    Birthdate: Feb. 27, 2288
Other Designations: E-0057 (used by Super Soldier Special Duty Organization), Hallelujah (alter-ego) dead
  • Unit: GN-003 Gundam Kyrios

Allelujah spent his childhood as an orphan in the Human Reform League. He is usually gentle and quiet.[2]

File:Gundam 00 Tieria.jpg

Tieria Erde (ティエリア・アーデ)

A boy with a rare kind of beauty, his history, nationality and origins all a mystery. Within his gentle tone, he can give a sense of cold intentions.[2] Values the mission above all other issues, including life, and doesn't show any 'concern' for his teammates. The code name Tieria Erde is close to the words in Spanish "Tierra Verde" (meaning "Green Earth"). Notice that "Erde" means "Earth" in German, which would be more inline with other german words used throughout the series.

Gundam Throne Meisters / Team Trinity

Trinity consists of three siblings, Johann, Michael, and Nena Trinity.

File:Johann-03-animestocks-com--1-.jpg

Johann Trinity (ヨハン・トリニティ, Yohan Toriniti)

File:Michael-06-animestocks-com--1-.jpg

Michael Trinity (ミハエル・トリニティ, Mihaeru Toriniti)

File:Nena-06-animestocks-com--1-.jpg

Nena Trinity (ネーナ・トリニティ, Nēna Toriniti)

The youngest member of Trinity. She is impulsive in personality, displays self-centeredness to an extent. She is attracted to Setsuna and kissed him when they first met aboard Ptolemaios only to have him disgustedly push her away. Like Tieria, she is able to interface with Veda directly. Her Throne Drei stores a large quantity of highly concentrated, condensed GN particles and employs a GN field that transfers particles to other units and interferes extensively with communications. She's the strong support within Trinity. She habitually smiles and makes a V-sign with her fingers. Like Lockon and Fon, she owns her own Haro which is the same size as of the other Haros in Gundam 00. This Haro is claimed to be the brother of Lockon Stratos' Haro, but it appears the purple Haro has had a memory wipe, since it cannot recognize the orange Haro owned by Lockon. She may present herself as a young cheerful girl, but she is just as "trigger happy" as her siblings without regards for life. Out of boredom and frustration, flying over a wedding party during a mission, Nena attacks the wedding party killing everybody in sight including the entirety of Louise's family. Nena is now the only surviving member of Trinity, seeing her brothers killed by Ali Al Saachez and saved by Setsuna at the last minute. After 4 years she is seen in her Throne unit and works with Wang Liu Mei.

Like Tieria and Livonse, she may be able to interface with Veda as she was found by Tieria to be inside the room housing Veda's terminal when the Trinity first boarded the Ptolemaios. Nena also exhibits this ability while watching the 00 Gundam at the end of Season 1.

Crew of the Ptolemaios

File:Gundam00 - Sumeragi Lee Noriega.jpg

Sumeragi Lee Noriega (スメラギ・李・ノリエガ)

  • Voiced by: Yōko Honna[1]
  • Age: 26, 30 (After Time Skip)
Other Designations: Kujoh (九条) (real name)

Tactical forecaster of the Celestial Being mothership Ptolemaios. Not a captain but essentially the top ranking officer on the ship so she takes command. She basically plans all the tactics the Gundam Meisters take part in. Her strategic predictions are almost always very accurate. However, she enjoys drinking, even in the middle of an operation, and is frequently seen with a liquor flask in hand. She went to college with Billy Katagiri, and they both had Leif Aifman as a professor.[2]

File:Gundam00 - Christina Sierra.jpg

Christina Sierra (クリスティナ・シエラ)

  • Voiced by: Arise Satō[1]
  • Age: 22 (KIA)

Ptolemaios tactical operator. She was a highly-skilled programmer who ran away from her adopted mother before being discovered by Celestial Being. She has a good-natured personality and a deep trust of her comrades. She seems to be green in combat situations, and broke down mid-combat in the Ptolemaios when the ship was struck by enemy fire.[2] In the finale, a GN-X fired into the deck after she lied to Feldt to get her away. She died in the secondary explosion with Lichtendahl Tsery in her arms.

File:15-1-.jpg

Feldt Grace (フェルト・グレイス)

  • Voiced by: Ayahi Takagaki[1]
  • Age: 14, 18 (After Time Skip)

A tactical operator, same as Christina. For some reason or another, she seems to be poor at communicating with others. Her late parents worked under Celestial Being as Meisters for the 2nd-generation GNY-series Gundam prototypes. She has a wealth of mechanics-related knowledge and joined Celestial Being in anticipation of being able to utilize it. She is very fond of Haro and admires Lockon deeply. She soon develops a crush on Lockon and blushes whenever he's around. She shows great concern for him after he is injured protecting Tieria. When Lockon is killed fighting Ali Al-Saachez, Feldt is crushed.[2] Thanks to Christina's lying to get Feldt off of the bridge, the latter survived the final battle aboard the second combat container with Sumeragi and Ian.

Lichtendahl Tsery (リヒテンダール・ツエーリ)

  • Voiced by: Masataka Azuma[1]
  • Age: 21 (KIA)

Ptolemaios helmsman with a cheerful personality.[2] His parents were technicians of the Orbital Elevators that were killed in the Solar Wars. He lost a large portion of his body in the carnage, which was replaced with machinery, making him a cyborg. He was fatally wounded when he tried to cover Christina from an attack from a GN-X on the bridge of the Ptolemaios. The damage from the attack revealed to Christina his mechanical body, and she told him what a shame it was that she had never noticed how amazing he was--apparently revealing a new-found love on Christina's part. He died moments later, a happy smile on his face that he'd finally been recognized and loved by someone.

Lasse Aion (ラッセ・アイオン)

  • Voiced by: Hiroki Touchi[1]
  • Age: 25 (status unknown)

Ptolemaios gunner. The mothership's combat ability can be said to be governed by him. He often acts cynically.[2] He has also been seen to be piloting GN Arms, the transformable weapon docking system for the four Gundams. Although he was severely injured in the battle against Alejandro Corner's Alvatore, his death was not explicitly shown, and his fate uncertain.

Ian Vashti (イアン・ヴァスティ)

  • Voiced by: Hideyuki Umezu[1]
  • Age: 52, 56 (After Time Skip)

A bespectacled middle-aged man affiliated with Celestial Being's mobile suit development project. He personally delivered new equipment to the Meisters in Episode 6. He also appears to be the technician aboard Ptolemaios and in charge of the repairs on the ship and the Gundams. 4 years later, he reveals to Wang Liu Mei and Hong Long the O Gundam and they talk about Gundam 00 and Ian tells them that the O Gundam's GN Drive is not compatible with the 00 Gundam and he wonders whether Gundam Exia's GN Drive will work on it.

Joyce B. Moreno (ジョイス・B・モレノ)

  • Age: 43

Doctor onboard the Ptolemaios. A longtime friend of Ian Vashti from the time before they joined the Celestial Being. Treated Lockon when he was injured protecting Tieria and Gundam Virtue in episode 21. Was killed when Alejandro fired upon the Ptolemaios.

Krung Thep

Ruido Resonance (ルイード・レゾナンス)

A protagonist in the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00P -- one of the four Gundam Meisters employed by Celestial Being in the period in which 00P is set. Designated pilot of the GNY-001 Gundam Astraea at Krung Thep. A skilled mechanic, and a senpai to Chall Acustica as of her inception as Meister. Though the Astraea appears in 00F, Ruido Resonance has not been mentioned in any of the preseries information released. He is thought to be the father of Feldt Grace, being the only male among the Second Generation Meisters. According to Feldt's words, he is already deceased. However, the reason of how and when he died is still shrouded in a mystery.

Marlene Vlady (マレーネ・バラディ)

A protagonist in the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00P -- one of the four Gundam Meisters employed by Celestial Being in the period in which 00P is set. Seiei during the ensuing battle and betrayed by Livonse shortly before his death.

Graham Aker (グラハム・エーカー)

  • Voiced by: Yuuichi Nakamura[1]
  • Age: 27, 31 (After Time skip)

The ace pilot of the Union. Originally on the MSWΛD (Mobile Suit Warehouse and Development) mobile suit team with the rank of First Lieutenant recently promoted to Captain, he was later transferred to the Anti-Gundam Investigative Squad. Possessing uncanny instincts, he pilots a black custom Union Flag.[2] His signature move is to transform his Flag in mid- flight. When fighting the Gundams he exhibits tenacity and skill which makes him a formidable opponent for the Gundams. Unlike AEU's Patrick Colasour, he seems to have a strict code of honor. It has been suggested that he was involved in an incident which cost the life of a superior officer. While he ignores any insults in regard to it, he does strive to clear his name in the battlefield. After Howard's death, Graham swore to defeat the Gundams using a Flag. As such he refused to be a pilot of the new GN-X, and instead decided to upgrade his SVMS-01 Flag with the leaked technology. He is now the last pilot of the Overflags following Daryl's death. Graham tells Setsuna during their duel that he is obsessed with fighting against him and that "being a soldier" is his only reason for fighting. Although this might not be true, since he has also stated that he is seeking revenge for Daryl and Howard. After Setsuna's fight with Alejandro Corner, he combats the low-powered and weakened Exia in his new GN Flag, leading to the destruction of the GN Flag. Graham survived the explosion of his GN Flag, but four years later, was last seen wearing a mask, designating him as the 'evil masked ace pilot', a staple of Gundam series.

  • Age: 31, 35 (after time skip)

A technical adviser for the MSWΛD and the developer of the SVMS-01 Union Flag as well as the Union Army's intelligence agent and best friend of Graham Aker. He was later transferred to the Overflags with Graham. He went to college with Sumeragi Lee Noriega calling her Kujoh, and seems to have romantic thoughts towards her. Injured after the Trinity's attack on MSWAD's base. His fate as of the events after Episode 25 are unknown.

  • Voiced by: Kenji Takahashi[1]
  • Age: 27 (KIA)

A Union NCO with the rank of Warrant Officer. One of the first Flag Fighters assigned to the Anti-Gundam Investigative Squad "Overflags" under Graham Aker. He seemed to have a friendship with Graham due to their belief in the qualities of the Flag. He has brown hair and glasses. He was killed in action by Michael Trinity. After his death, Graham and Daryl vowed to avenge his death.

Daryl Dodge (ダリル・ダッジ)

  • Voiced by: Rintarou Nishi[1]
  • Age: 26 (KIA)

A Union soldier with the rank of Master Sergeant. Another of the first Flag Fighters assigned to the Anti-Gundam Investigative Squad "Overflags" under Graham Aker. Has black skin and red hair. Unlike Graham and Howard he doesn't share their faith that a Flag can beat the Gundams. He was recently transferred to the Union's GN-X squad. Killed after performing a head-on suicide attack on Gundam Dynames in order to avenge Howard Mason's death.

File:Gundam 00 - Lt. Soma Peries.jpg

Soma Peries (ソーマ・ピーリス)

  • Voiced by: Arisa Ogasawara[1]
  • Age: 18, 22 (After Time Skip)
    Other Designations: Marie (Real name)

A "supersoldier" with the rank of Second Lieutenant sent to aid Sergei in his goal to capture a Gundam. She had been enhanced by scientists from the Super Soldier Special Duty Organization. She is a designer baby, enhanced through experiments bet the HRL's supersoldier division. She and Allelujah Haptism shared mental connection as they were both experiments in the HRL. This caused her to go berserk in one incident and was later given a special suit to prevent this. She holds a special grudge against Gundam Kyrios' pilot, knowing that he is an enhanced human who 'betrayed' his own kind when he destroyed the supersoldier research facility. After her latest battle in which Kyrios used the Trans-Am system to defeat her, she becomes unnerved by the idea that a 'defective product' could outmatch her 'superior' genes. She later calls Allelujah by an experiment ID number, indicating that she may have discovered his true identity. Her true name is Marie.

She seems to view Sergei as a paternal figure, because he may have been the first person to show any sort of care for her. She even abandons the fight against Kyrios to extract him from his disabled GN-X; it is because she comes out of her mobile suit at this point to do this that Allelujah could see her and recognize her as Marie.

AEU

File:Gundam 00 - Patrick Colasour.png

Patrick Colasour (パトリック・コーラサワー)

  • Voiced by: Kenji Hamada[1]
  • Age: 28, 32 (After Time Skip)
    Birthplace: France

Patrick Colasour is the AEU forces 'ace pilot', with his reputation gained primarily from combat simulation and not actual combat. He has a brash, hot-blooded personality.[2] Even though he proved himself an ace pilot by keeping an undefeated streak in 2000 simulation battles, he was hopeless in his encounter with Gundam Exia and had his MS Enact dismembered in the fight. He was also shot down by Gundam Virtue during Celestial Being's assault on Moralia and got his GN-X disabled after being hit by asteroid debris while fighting Celestial Being at Lagrange Point 1. He seems to be something of an immature womanizer but fell in love with his commanding officer, Kathy Mannequin, after she punched him twice in a row for being late. In addition, he appears to be some what of a comic relief in the series, as he, despite his boasting to be the AEU's best pilot, hasn't shown such abilities yet but instead getting his mobile suit disabled or shot down in humiliating ways repeatedly, mostly without having taken any significant part in the battle before. He miraculously survived Nadleeh's final shot as is seen four years later standing at attention behind Kath Mannequin for the Earth Sphere Federation.

Kathy Mannequin (カティ・マネキン)

  • Voiced by: Minami Takayama[1]

A Colonel in the unified AEU armed forces, she is the commanding officer of the AEU contigent sent to the HRL's Taklamakan Desert. She is later assigned to be in command of the joint Union-AEU battle group consisting of GN-Xs. She is seen again 4 years later when the pilot lineup for the 'Earth Sphere Federation' is being broadcasted.

PMC Trust

File:Gundam 00 - Ali Al-Saachez.png

Ali Al-Saachez (アリー・アル・サーシェス)

  • Voiced by: Keiji Fujiwara
  • Age: 35, 39 (After Time Skip)
Other Designations: Gary Bradge (French Foreign Legion)

Ali Al-Saachez is the nemesis of Setsuna and Lockon and a primary villain in the series. He is the man whose voice recording was being broadcasted across the Kurdish battlefield in the events leading up to the appearance of the O Gundam in AD 2301. Currently a top field officer under the private military contractor known as the PMC Trust. He has some relationship with Setsuna's past. After Setsuna found his secret base where he was hiding the kidnapped Massoud Rachmadi, he was left with no doubt as to the identity of the pilot of Exia. Saachez considers himself a mercenary, and flies the latest AEU Enact mobile suit. However, France promised him the mobile suit Agrissa to capture the Exia unit. He was serving in the French Foreign Legion under the assumed name of Gary Bradge of the 4th Independent Squadron.

He is an excellent mobile suit pilot. He has been shown to fight Gundams to a standstill with a mere ENACT mobile suit. Furthermore, he is also shown to be highly skilled in the arts of hand-to-hand combat.

In the past, Saachez attempted to create a group of freedom fighters and convinced young children that they were fighting in the name of God. It is made clear in the same episode that Saachez commanded children to murder their own parents as proof of faith and devotion [4]. Thus Setsuna's hatred towards him is due to the fact that Saachez influenced him to murder his parents. He is a man addicted to war and does not want it to end. By his own admission, he is the 'worst kind of human'. His love of war seems to fuel his opposition to Celestial Being. Saachez murders Kinue Crossroad, after telling her top secret information. He has recently expressed interest in obtaining one of the 30 GN-X units in order to battle against Celestial Being.

After killing Kinue Crossroad and Laguna, Ali pursued the Trinity siblings to an island where they were supposed to rendezvous with Wang Liu Mei. After shooting Michael, he steals the Throne Gundam Zwei. After bypassing its biometric security system using Veda, he overwhelms Gundams Eins and Drei. However, Setsuna arrives just in time on the battlefield to rescue Nena, the sole survivor of the Trinity siblings. With the assistance of the Trans-Am back-up program set up by Aeolia Schenberg, Setsuna's Gundam manages to beat Ali. Nevertheless, Ali successfully retreats from the battlefield to fight another day.

Later, Saachez, under his alternate identity, joins the UN assault force attack on the Meisters. Saachez, true to his nature, does not charge headlong into the conflict like the rest of the UN Army. Instead he hangs back, only moving in to engage the Gundams with Throne Zwei when they are distracted or overwhelmed. He finds Lockon destroying the carrier ships with his GN Arms and is able to destroy the GN Arms. Saachez and Lockon engage in a vicious close-range battle. Saachez realizes that Lockon cannot see on his right side after Daryl interrupts their duel to attempt to avenge his fallen comrades. Using Zwei's GN Fangs, Saachez is able to severely cripple Dynames, forcing a retreat into an asteroid field. As Saachez searches for Dynames, Lockon, who has exited the suit, targets Zwei using one of the GN Cannons from his destroyed GN Arms. Saachez spots Lockon and charges at him after a heat signature is detected by his unit. While Saachez fires a shot from Throne Zwei's GN Handgun to critically damage the GN Cannon, Lockon fires a shot from the GN Cannon that destroys Throne Zwei. Ali Al Saachez survived the Zwei's explosion through unknown means. 4 years later, he is seen with a drink in hand and seems to be frustrated.

  • Age: 24, 28 (After Time Skip)
    Birthplace: Azadistan

The first princess of Azadistan. Due to trade embargoes following the completion of the solar energy pipelines, Azadistan can no longer export its fossil fuel reserves, and consequently is faced with an economic crisis.[2] Azadistan has recently became a monarchy and she was elected as sovereign to restore the national economy by the Azadistani Parliament. She embarks on a diplomatic mission to seek aid from other members of the AEU, but has met with little success due to Celestial Being's constant "interference".

Shirin Bakhtiar (シーリン・バフティヤール)

  • Voiced by: Michiko Neya[1]
  • Age: 27, 31 (After Time Skip)

A chaperon and adviser to Marina Ismail at the Azadistan Royal Palace. She has great political knowledge but cannot take part in the Azadistan government in an official capacity because women are prohibited from being involved. Massoud Rachmadi (マスード・ラフマディー)

  • Voiced by: Shinya Fukumatsu[1]

An Imam in Azadistan with strong influence in the conservative factions of the Azadistani Parliament. Known as "Rasa"[9] among the conservative factions, when Marina decided to accept the role of princess, he volunteered to become her opposition in order to contain the conservatives from getting radical and violent[10]. His sudden abduction by Ali's forces had touched off a coup d'état with radical elements of the Azadistani army leading it against Marina and the rest of her reformist-leading government. He was later tracked down and rescued by Setsuna, Lockon and Hong Long, and returned to make a joint statement with Marina, which temporary quelled the rebellion[11].

  • Age: 17, 21 (After Time skip)

A resident of Japan; a senior high school student studying aerospace engineering. A gentle person with a submissive personality, he is often pushed around by his overbearing girlfriend Louise. He and his sister live in an apartment right next door to Setsuna's.[2] He and his sister, Kinue, had been orphaned prior to the start of the series. [12] Despite his unaggressive nature, Saji has been caught up in the wake of the Gundams' actions. His girlfriend, Louise, lost her left hand and entire family due to an unprovoked attack from the Throne Drei Gundam. Later, Saji's sister, a reporter pursuing information on Celestial Being's founder, Aeolia Schenberg, was killed (although it was Ali Al-Saachez that killed her, not Celestial Being). As a result, Saji has developed a deep hatred for the Gundams, whom he blames for Louise's injures and his sister's death. He later goes in to space to pursue his dream of being a space engineer.

File:Gundam 00 - Louise Halevy.jpg

Louise Halevy (ルイス・ハレヴィ)

  • Voiced by: Chiwa Saitō[1]
  • Age: 17, 21 (After time Skip)
    Birthplace: Spain

An exchange student. Like her current boyfriend Saji, she studies aerospace engineering. Has a rather selfish personality. A citizen of the AEU, specifically Spain. She was seriously wounded, losing her left hand and family, in an attack by Nena Trinity on a wedding party hosted by the Halevy family. In a conversation with Saji, a nurse reveals that there is something strange about her wound, preventing the hospital from regrowing her hand. After Saji comes to see her in Spain, she tells him that it will take a long time for her to heal. Not wanting to be a burden on Saji, Louise 'breaks up' with him and tells him to go back to Japan and fulfill his dream of becoming an aerospace engineer. She also promises him that some day they will reunite again in space. In the final episode of Season 1, Louise is seen with shorter hair.

  • Age: 22 (deceased)

Saji's older sister. Pursues Celestial Being during the course of working in the media. Dislikes Louise. She and her brother Saji were orphaned prior to the start of the series. [12] Kinue seemed obsessed over Aeolia Schenberg, believing that Celestial Being had motives other than ending warfare and that researching Schenberg is the key to discovering those motives. In episode 20, desperate for a lead, she interviewed Ali Al-Saachez in his car. He gave her significantly more information than she expected, including that one of the Gundam pilots was a boy that he had trained and used as a child soldier, shocking Kinue. Ali then took her into an alleyway and killed her.

Louise's Mother

  • Voiced by: Sakiko Tamagawa[1]
  • Age: Unknown (Probably in her late 30's to mid 40's) (Deceased)

At first she was against her daughter's relationship with Saji but later on accepts and grows fond of him, making Louise jealous at one point. She was killed along with others during Nena Trinity's unprovoked attack at a wedding party hosted by her family.
