India women Test cricketers

All Indian women Test cricketers now have articles. cheers -SpacemanSpiffCalvinHobbes 02:35, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sports teams template

Is {{National sports teams of India}} a valid nav bar? Linking different teams, for different sports, under different governing bodies seems a bit odd and distracting - Indian Ice Hockey team on the Indian Cricket team page? Any opinions? -SpacemanSpiffCalvinHobbes 17:52, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like it could have potential. I am having trouble finding info for it though. Typing out the full name gives me no google hits but typing out variants of the above might give a bit more. Also see Balussery for more info. Also if nothing can be found maybe a redirect to the town would do? Kind regards.Calaka (talk) 09:48, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like the article combines two different temples (close to each other) - Balussery Kota Temple and Balussery Vettakorumakan Temple (with a few transliterations sp. variations) - and has a typo in the title. Looks like there are a few news and book sources for both. At this point the title is incorrect, so a redirect isn't of much use IMO. -SpacemanSpiffCalvinHobbes 16:32, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No offence to work done by the Peer-review Team. I was wondering if they can review all Peer review nominations in Wikipedia:WikiProject_India/Article_alerts rather than having people search a specific page to get a Peer review done? There are a lot of articles waiting for Peer Review there .Is there any need for a different page for the same? --Vinay84 (talk) 13:02, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

By "all Peer review nominations in Wikipedia:WikiProject_India/Article_alerts", he means WP:Peer review. The India Wp peer review is almost dead, and can be formally declared as a dead page. I suggest creating a peer review related template similar to Wikipedia:Peer review/PRbox --Redtigerxyz Talk 14:27, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Redtigerxyz, anything that needs manual updates will get out-dated soon. The article alerts page is bot-updated, so stays current. There is no way to keep them both (pr box and alerts page) in sync unless you can get the bot writer to update the PR box template as well with his bot. Smaller Notice Board

Can we have a smaller notice board : without say sections like News which members of the project can put onto their User page similar to {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} --Vinay84 (talk) 06:04, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I support this. We need to pare down the India project pages because nothing much is getting done. Time for simplicity, perhaps? --RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 12:31, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
We already have something similar. Check out WikiProject India/Article alerts/Table and Notice board for India-related topics/Dashboard. You can add some code to hide the table (see my user page for example). Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 13:31, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Would anyone please peer review this GA article for FA criteria? Thanks. --Redtigerxyz Talk 06:23, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling must be consistent throughout. ƒ(Δ)² 06:33, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a review (turned out longer than I intended). Would help if someone knowledgeable about the topic could check for comprehensiveness and sourcing, since FACs can pass-fail based on those issues. Abecedare (talk) 10:28, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Meaningless categories

An user has created many meaningless categories.[1] like major IT cities of India. Shyamsunder (talk) 05:31, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Major cities of Central India, Category:Indian commercial capitals, Category:Metro Cities of Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh, Category:Metro Cities of Maharashtra, Category:IT Cities of India, Category:Metro Cities in India should be taken to CFD. It looks like this user and User:Anas999 are collaborating in creating a lot of this. Multiple duplicates for Bhopal railway station and other such things. I cleaned out a few of these last week, but apparently I didn't take care of it all. -SpacemanSpiffCalvinHobbes 05:49, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
