== Wikipedia is not proactive to people posting on WikiProject West Midlands. ==

I have for sometime taken time to post updates on the Swan Shopping Center so trying to support the Birmingham area. I have had postings rendered incorrect by editing by Wikipedia. I have had postings amended and been critisised for not quoting sources. My sources are various and normally from public meetings. I have not been encouraged to post in fact I have been constantly questioned and rebuked by Wikipedia. The last comment by will become correct and the whole Birmingham postings become moribund when contributors are hit by such negativity over their efforts.

This seems to be an end product that Wikipedia are encouraging in their paranoia over control of postings.

Demographics of Birmingham

this is referenced in the man bham article but is out of date. how to we identify that it should be on a list for update? the census info doen't include current as well (2005).. i have updated the current populatin info in the LEAD, but as a sub-article it needs updating.

This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.

If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

Northfield

The article on Northfield, Birmingham is not as good as some of the other articles about parts of Birmingham. Can anyione improve that article? South Birmingham OK (talk) 18:33, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is not much that is easy to find in the Internet about present day Northfield but there should be material in Northfield Libeary and in Birmingham Reference Library. South Birmingham OK (talk) 16:16, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not proactive to people posting on WikiProject West Midlands.
