Reviewer/Article Feedback Reviewer

(add requestview requests)

I would be interested in reviewing edits on a few pending changes-protected pages I have on my watchlist (like this one). Sometimes I just feel helpless for not being able to approve some really constructive edits and deny some obviously bad ones (like those constituting addition of negative biographical content, uncited information that really needs citations to reliable sources or of course, vandalism). Hopefully my anti-vandalism contribution (most of which constitutes use of STiki and Huggle; I currently use and prefer Huggle) shows that I can be trusted with approving changes. I'm sure I can really use this right well. smtchahal(talk) 14:14, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would also like to remark that I frequently keep checking the pending changes page to see what reviewers do with those edits. smtchahal(talk) 11:19, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
 Done. ~ Amory (utc) 23:35, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Re-requesting rights from my old account (Diego Grez (talk · contribs)); I no longer have access to it, and so I'd like to have my old rights back. Lester Foster (talk | talk) 16:01, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done I don't know how we could verify this is the same user if you have somehow lost access to your account, please re-apply when you feel this account is qualified as a reviewer on its own merits. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:10, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. I think I recall creating the userpage of this account with that other account, but it seems to be deleted, may be that could make it? I also asked for the transfer of rights on IRC, where I do have access to the cloak of the old account, but I was asked to request that here. Lester Foster (talk | talk) 17:22, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually you created the deleted version of the page, then later blanked it. Several months later the Diego Grez account marked it for speedy deletion. The sticking point for me is that you are saying you "no longer have access" to that account. How does that happen? Beeblebrox (talk) 02:41, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There was some fuzz back in September / October on Wikinews and over here that ended up with my account being compromised, some troll may have obtained my password, I just don't know how. The account was blocked on Wikinews after I asked so, and had my rights removed because of things I did before the account was hacked, just hours before. That's the story. (On WN, I edited my Lester Foster userpage with the Diego Grez account several times) Lester Foster (talk | talk) 03:02, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Both accounts are globally unified and confirmed by password on en.wiki and wikinews. The sticking point is whether admins feel the edits made by one account to the user page of another are sufficient to demonstrate the link between the accounts. Considering what has happened, you may want to look into displaying a committed identity for your new account. Pol430 talk to me 09:34, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. Lester Foster (talk | talk) 21:11, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It seems to me that the backlog is longer than we might like it be. M Carling 20:43, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There is currently one article with unreviewed pending changes, which backlog are you referring to? Pol430 talk to me 21:18, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) In case you are talking about AfC backlog. You do not need this right to help it out there..--Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 01:46, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We need more AfC reviewers, because Category:Pending AfC submissions is backlogged. The Wikipedia permission "Reviewer" (what you have requested here) is nothing to do with being an AfC reviewer; and there does not seem to be any shortage of people who hold that permission. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 06:25, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
