Thank you. I am new to wikimedia and have done updates on Mark Angelo's page as a favour to him and this site was taken over from another person. I appreciate your direction on links and edits and thank you for this. I will have a look at good etiquette and links in future to ensure they are correctly done. I will also speak with Mark about the Britannia Creek site and ask him for some references and then add these to the page. Will do this over next week. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. One thing I am struggling with is the images. I uploaded them for him, two are his and one belongs to Danny Catt who has given permission for this image to be added to the commons. How do I deal with Jim's issue for author vs uploader and prove I have permission. Thanks for your help! --Evolve Multimedia (talk) 00:54, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Mark Angelo has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://twitter.com/Rivers_BCIT. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:29, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Evolve Multimedia! I just now came across your new article on Britannia Creek. It is a very interesting subject, but the article has some serious problems as a Wikipedia article. The chief problem is that there are no references whatsoever, as inline citations or otherwise. Without that, the article cannot stand. Could you add some references? They could be from online sources or from books, whatever you have.

I also went quickly through the article and tried to set it up in a way that is more typical of a regular Wikipedia article.

Perhaps you would like to take a look at the article on the Gowanus Canal, an urban waterway that was extremely polluted? That article is of a very high standard, and it may give you some ideas about how you could improve the Britannia Creek article.

P.S. If you don't know how to do references properly, it is OK to start by listing them as bullet points below the heading References, and in the case of online sources, to include the URL. Invertzoo (talk) 00:28, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Britannia Creek, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pique (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Connected to Maple Ridge firm ?

Hello Evolve Multimedia: Does your user name indicate any relation to a Maple Ridge firm that pitches developing attractive web sites to clients and claims work on river-related websites? Paid contract work to edit wikipedia pages for clients can be a concern. Canuckle (talk) 21:29, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Username issue

My goodness how did this account name survive so long?

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Evolve Multimedia", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a username change that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Jytdog (talk) 23:05, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Joseph2302 (talk) 00:05, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
