@Jamietw: This right isn't "needed" persay. All it does is remove pages from the new pages queue. You can patrol without the right (and do everything at AfC without the right), but a new page reviewer will just check over your work before any pages are considered patrolled. Since you're returning from a WikiBreak, it may be best for you to do this for a while before receiving the right so you can be brought up to date on changes in policies, etc. Does that seem fair? ~ Rob13Talk 16:53, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have been enjoying working largely to police vandalism and make minor improvements to pages. I hope to help clear the very large backlog of pages in the new page patrol. I've been working to patrol as best I can already: I have moved many pages that were improperly titled, I have nominated many for deletion through the CSD, PROD and AFD processes, and I have worked to improve some articles that would have otherwise been deleted. I have also merged articles successfully following the full process, and created redirects for appropriate pages. In severe cases, I've made reports to WP:AIV to block abusive spammers. I'm sure my editing is not perfect yet, but I hope I have reached a point where I can contribute in a positive way to this project. I have read and understand the tutorial. Gaining the permission will allow me to mark pages so that others don't have to go back over them and review again and again. Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide. I was declined a month ago and told to come back in 90 days' time, but I think that I have gained enough experience. CSD log and PROD log. My PROD log is half-blue due to rescued BLP PRODs. Hello! I applied for this right again about a month ago, but was rejected due to lack of experience (which the bot will link below, it's the second one). I was told to apply again when I'd done about three months of editing (I came back to editing in January), and I think that I've done enough reviewing that granting me this wouldn't be "bending the rules," which was the main concern for not giving it to me before; I do have enough experience, I think, (I have rollbacker and pending changes reviewer), though if it makes sense for me to wait for the next 2 weeks so it's really the full 3 months, that is okay too.
