NPOV issue
Product being compared must be sorted alphabetically. B7elijah (talk) 23:29, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
Is this correct?
What does the "Usability" column mean? There is "Yes" value set for all products in that table. But what would "No" value mean? The program is unusable?.. B7elijah (talk) 23:38, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
Yes

Free YouTube Downloader
Does anyone agree that "Free YouTube Downloader" should be added to the list of YouTube downloaders?
I've installed and tested this system. It seems to work well and is very easy to use.

- I'm pretty sure MBAM classifies that one as a PUP.
- However, there are a whole bunch of down-loaders with similar sounding names that curiously do not appear in this article. Many of these :are also classified by MBAM as PUPs. "YouTube Video Downloader" - download.cnet.com/YouTube-Video-Downloader/3000-2071_4-10810714.html? & :"YouTube Downloader" - http://download.cnet.com/YouTube-Downloader/3000-2071_4-75706858.html?tag=dre, seem clean, and should be added to :this article. (Note: there are many of these with very similar names, like "YouTube Free Downloader", that do contain malware.)

Youtube-dl missing
I noticed youtube-dl, a really awesome command-line downloader is missing. It's available at http://yt-dl.org with source at https://github.com/rg3/youtube-dl and runs on most operating systems. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.10.4.30 (talk) 13:53, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
The Graphical interface Youtube-dlG is also missing (with easy playlist download possibility) : https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.128.215.221 (talk) 11:23, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

clipping column
I would like to know which programs allow designating a start / end time and only downloading a video clip of just that.
Like say for example there is a 2 hour youtube movie but you only want to download 10 seconds of it, downloading the ENTIRE thing and then needing to edit it yourself is pretty inefficient. ScratchMarshall (talk) 06:03, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

Private videos column
What is the purpose of the private videos column in the features section? At first I'd assume that it denotes the ability of a downloader to download private videos using some way to authenticate, but that would mean that youtube-dl would be marked as 'yes', as it can be fed credentials/cookies for authentication (for example through the --cookies parameter). Is that a mistake, or am I misunderstanding the purpose of the column? A clearer tooltip description should probably be implemented if the latter is the case.
