Cartoon Network HD+ (known as CN HD+ for short) is an Indian cable and satellite television channel operated by AT&T's WarnerMedia under its International division. The channel was launched on April 15, 2018 as an ad free channel and CN Original shows exclusively air in the channel. The channel was only available in India and was eventually launched on popular operators in neighbouring countries.
The channel contains shows from Cartoon Network Studios and select acquired content. Many Cartoon Network originals are shown exclusively on this channel and mostly unavailable on the SD channel.
History
Launching Of Cartoon Network HD+
WarnerMedia India announced that Cartoon Network will have its HD channel as Cartoon Network HD+, before the launch, ads was aired on the SD channel promoting the HD channel, on April 15, 2018, The channel was launched, a promo was being aired on the channel named "Loud and Clear!" It was the slogan of the channel but later discontinued by 2 months. On April 17, 2018, the channel add 2 new languages feed separated to the english feed, Tamil and Telugu. Programs which are earlier broadcast by CN SD channel like We Bare Bears, The Powerpuff Girls etc. are also available in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu.[2] Programs which are new like Looney Tunes Cartoons etc. are only available in English on the channel. Programs like We Bare Bears, The Powerpuff Girls etc. (except on Ben 10 Reboot) no longer air on the SD channel by the beginning of 2020 as the SD channel focus on programming format. Even though the channel was exclusively airing Cartoon Network Studios shows, some shows are not aired yet on the HD channel like Total DramaRama, Adventure Time: Distant Lands, etc.
