Editing Draft:Mikhail Mouty

Dear Princess of Ara, Thank you for the very quick review of my draft and for your valuable comments. You have rejected the article on the basis of the person's notability. It is true that the article seems purily touching on the person's scientific achievements. However what I missed is to share the image he is seen by his community as a person who was born in a poor mountain village in Syria where very few make it to university. After earning his doctorate he returned to his country and started inspiring students to follow through their scientific ambitions. At the same time he was helping his common people to find water sources using the skills and experience he learned in his Academic field. I will take your comments to include third party sources prising his work for the local comunity. Some of these sources are in Arabic language and some are you tube videos. Can you guide me if such resources can be integrated in the English language draft ? and if they constitute a tangible proof of notability.

Sources in any language are welcome; they just have to be independent of the subject, reliable and cover the subject in detail in order to demonstrate notability. Youtube can be used if it is from a verified channel. When you have added these sources, you can resubmit the draft for another reviewer to take a look. Hope this helps.

Benjamin Sokomba Dazhi

Hello, I saw your post on the new article I created about citations. The article Benjamin Sokomba Dazhi was first moved to draft by Celestina007 for same reasons but she later cleared it based on WP:CREATIVE. Hey @Moshswacide, unfortunately I had the tab open all day and only saw that it was already accepted to mainspace when I tried to decline the draft. A draft is usually accepted at AfC if it has a 50% chance of surviving at AfD but I on the other hand try to aim for about 80% chance. So you see, acceptance only means that the subject is probably notable. I honestly don't see how the subject passes the notability guideline for creatives as there's no coverage by reliable sources. Can you demonstrate how the subject meets the said guideline?

@Princess of Ara: Do these coverages on him count; busyupdates, 47vibez, BellaNaija even though they are not yet added to the article? Not to mention the added sources from the Cartoon Network website and kidscreen. If not, kindly Google his name and see if he passes or not. @Moshswacide, busy updates and 47 vibes seem like content scrapers, hence not reliable. Personally I think Bellanaija is a good source for entertainment information but Wikipedia consensus says no. Cartoon network website is a primary source. I already did a google search before adding the {{notability}} tag. Maybe we should just take it to AfD for the community to decide.

Hi @Cjs1, Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for stopping by! I made the "about me" thing on my page by copying it from someone else's page (can't remember) who and simply adjusted the text and colour to suit my needs. You're welcome to do same. You will however only be able to make edits to your page via source editing.

I am an avid fan of specialty card tricks and when I found that wikipedia had articles about it I was surprised to find that they didn't have a profile for one of my very favorite magicians. How does Lee Asher,, Chris Kenner, Daniel and David Buck - Dan and Dave who all worked with him have pages, yet he does not?

He is mentioned in several articles as the creator of the genre:

You asked for more independent sources to confirm his notability, the article lists that he is cited as notable by:

1. Vanity Fair 2. Bicycle Playing Card website 3. Urban Dictionary 4. Genii Magazine 5. Magic Magazine 6. DecemberBoys.com.ua 7. "Flash Cards with Jerry Cestkowski" podcast

I am in contact with the cited noble contributors such as David Copperfield, Chris Kenner, and Dave and Dan, but they all don't understand why the draft would be rejected.

@CardistryExpert, I only declined the draft because it was not written from a neutral point of view. No need for talking up by using words like renowned and trend setter when the subject was not described as such by the sources quoted. Being a fan can make neutral editing difficult. I did not assess the subject for notability just yet because the tone is one of the quick fail criteria at AfC. I however want you to note that pointing at other articles that exist in mainspace is an argument to avoid

@Cjs1, I archived the former thread because it seemed buggy. You can have the User box on your page by simply copying the template, ( {{User:UBX/female}} ) onto your userpage.
