Ramin Jafarov (Ramin Natig oghlu Jafarov, Azerbaijani: Ramin Natiq oğlu Cəfərov; born February 26, 1981, Baku, Azerbaijan SSR, USSR) — Azerbaijani producer, correspondent, cameraman, technical director (2019-2020) and director (from 2020) of Baku TV, winner of "Netty" Award (2021).

In 2002, he continued to work as a special correspondent and operator at Caspian.net (now Khabar TV), and from 2005 to 2012 he worked as a site operator. In 2012-2016, he was appointed director of the film crew.

On December 18, 2021, Baku TV, led by Ramin Jafarov, won the "Netty" Award as the Best Internet TV of the Year.

Early life

Ramin Natig oglu Jafarov was born on February 26, 1981 in the city of Baku.[1] Ramin entered the 1st grade of school No. 6 in 1987 and graduated from the 10th grade of that school in 1997. In the same year he was admitted to the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports.[1]

In 1998, along with the university, he began working as a lighting engineer on Space TV.[1] A year later, he continued to work as a cameraman for the channel, and in 1999 he expanded his television career by taking Internews media courses.[1]

Career

Activities as a sound director

Seymour, who began his career in sound design in 2009 in private studios in Baku, received an offer from GFA Pro in Moscow, Russia in 2011 and left.[2]

In 2014, Seymur Aliyev returned to Baku. In the same year, ANS Group of Companies continued its activities in BakuFilm and BalAns studios.[3][2] In 2015, he studied sound engineering in Tehran, Iran. In the same year, Seymur Aliyev undertook to direct the sound in the film "Bloody January" (Azerbaijani: Qanlı Yanvar), directed by Vahid Mustafayev.[4][5][6]

Since 2016, he has been the head of KotaMedia Baku Sound Studio. In 2017, Seymur Aliyev continued his career as a sound director in many films - "The Second Curtain" (Azerbaijani: İkinci pərdə), "Hannas" (Azerbaijani: Xənnas), "Angel's Kiss" (Azerbaijani: Mələyin öpüşü), "Tahmin and Zaur" (Azerbaijani: Təhmin və Zaur).[7][8][9][10]

In 2019, he was appointed director of the Azerbaijan International Film Company. At the same time, he continued to work as a sound director in many films shot under the company's leadership - "Goodbye, Schmidt!" (Azerbaijani: Əlvida, Şmidt!), "Maiden Tower" (Azerbaijani: Qız Qalası), "Sidestreet" (Azerbaijani: Dalan), "The Last Curtain" (Azerbaijani: Sonuncu pərdə), "Bomalti" (Azerbaijani: Bomaltı), "Taxi Lisa" (Azerbaijani: Taksi Liza), "Aporia" (Azerbaijani: Aporiya), "Black Eyes" (Azerbaijani: Qaragöz), "Thin Matter" (Azerbaijani: Nazik mətləb).[11][2][12] He resigned voluntarily in March 2020.

In 2020, he directed the soundtrack for "The Love Novel" (Azerbaijani: Sevgi romanı).[13] At the same time, in April 2020, he acted as a sound director in the short animated film "April Battles" (Azerbaijani: Aprel döyüşləri) about the April 2016 battles and the Lalatapa operation.[14]

Musical career

In December 2020, Berrytune Digital, Inc. founded a music broadcasting and distribution company. In a short time, he managed to establish close cooperation with Believe Music, Yandex and YouTube.[3] Thus, devoting the main part of his career to music, he released his first single in the same year - "Dolya Varovskaya" (English: Dolya Varavskoya).[15] He recorded the single as a duet with singer MDIS.[16]

The Second Karabakh War, which began in the country in 2020, is not without its impact on the artist's work, and thus the next single of Seymur Aliyev - "Karabakh is Azerbaijan" (Azerbaijani: Qarabağ Azərbaycandır) is released to the audience.[17][18]

In the beginning of 2021, Rasul Efendiyev, Rauf Ahmadov, Jeyhun Zeynalov, Parvin Latifov and others. collaborated with performers. In the same year, the singer released his third single, "Tell Me" (Azerbaijani: De mənə).[19] Later, Seymur Aliyev's singles "Musa calls" (Russian: Манит Муза) and "Tango" (Azerbaijani: Tanqo) were published.[20][21] Basically, there were singles in russian in the singer's music.[22]

Personal life

In his spare time, he enjoys playing football, watching movies, and listening to music. He is married and has one child.[3]
