Agree that it's not at all clear that this is a race issue; if anything more of an age issue where the older member had long-time friendships with people across the aisle who chose to break with their party. This page is about a politician who is running for office or has recently run for office, is in office and campaigning for re-election, or is involved in some current political conflict or controversy. A fact from Justin J. Pearson appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 11 March 2023 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:

It would be a good idea to protect the page
From both sides of the political aisle, the vandalism is coming hot and heavy. Would be nice to get the anonymous disruptors out of the way. YouCanDoBetter (talk) 06:08, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- This article is undergoing editing that is removing the core features of the expulsions, racial discrimination and disenfranchisement. Even Gloria Johnson, who joined the 5-10 second protest in the well of the house by Jones and Pearson, attributed her survival to her white ethnicity. Seven House Republican broke ranks with their colleagues, their actions barely defeating her expulsion, preserving her seat by a single vote. Activist (talk) 23:55, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- We'll need more than Johnson's opinion on her survival, and reliable, non-partisan commentary on it. YouCanDoBetter (talk) 03:50, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
- There is only one reason for the expulsion: violating house rules. 166.198.234.200 (talk) 13:43, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
- I question how much this was a race issue considering that she was spared by a single vote. - Knightsoftheswords281 (Talk-Contribs) 15:05, 8 April 2023 (UTC)

Here is the link to an interview Justin J. Pearson gave while a student at Bowdoin College. In the interview, he states his middle name as Jamal. https://www.hercampus.com/school/bowdoin/justin-j-pearson-man-myth-legend/ 108.193.241.123 (talk) 11:45, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Lightoil (talk) 12:46, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- I've added a middle name to the article lead and early life section. Even though the IP didn't use and exact x to y format, a procedural error is not a reason to deny a request. This is a very clear WP:NOTBURO violation. - Knightsoftheswords281 (Talk-Contribs) 02:20, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
