Is it possible to create-protect all possible diacritic variations of a title?

I've recently been dealing with a persistent sockpuppeteer (Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Gsthae with tempo!) who likes to create nonsense drafts with similar titles (e.g. Draft:Gsthae with tempo! and Draft:Mixing Sailors). Now that many of those titles have been create protected, they continue by using variations of those titles with diacritics. Is there a way to prevent this? Partofthemachine (talk) 01:09, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

all possible diacritic variations - no. If an LTA is going so far as to make ridiculous pages like this, I would actually suggest un-protecting the original/primary title, if only so you don't need to play whack-a-mole all day. Primefac (talk) 08:36, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Partofthemachine: Apart from the fact that we don't pre-emptively protect pages, there are hundreds of characters which might be described as "letters with diacritics" and potentially millions of potential page titles. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 09:23, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The title blacklist might be more efficient than move protection. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 10:17, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The abuse filter can normalise text to remove diacritics etc. see "ccnorm" at mw:Extension:AbuseFilter/Rules format. So requesting a filter might be even better. the wub "?!" 12:45, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Should there be spaces for the names of the locks? (for example, Silver lock instead of Silverlock)

Before I was going to edit a page about the locks for protections, I noticed that the names for the locks didn't have spaces. OMGShay 92 (talk) 13:35, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OMGShay 92, not sure what you mean? Are you referring to pages like WP:SILVERLOCK? The lock itself is named File:Semi-protection-shackle.svg. (please do not ping on reply) Primefac (talk) 14:21, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Those are mostly references to the our standard WP:SHORTCUT syntax, which is mostly "WP:ABCDEF" (where ABCDEF is all caps, goes to a redirect page, and links to a better title or section of a page with a better title). — xaosflux Talk 18:21, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This page should have more protection.

As this page itself talks about protections, this page must be as protected as possible. It should have more than just semi-protection. Cjjjkscratch (talk) 06:26, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why? The semi is just to keep it from being vandalised by un-confirmed users. I see no evidence or need for increased protection. Primefac (talk) 07:12, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Then why do other pages have more protection? Cjjjkscratch (talk) 07:23, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
