Insaniyat Biplob Bangladesh or Humanity Revolution Bangladesh (Bengali: ইনসানিয়াত বিপ্লব বাংলাদেশ), commonly known as ইনসানিয়াত or Insaniyat, is a political party in Bangladesh founded by Allama Imam Hayat in 2010.[2]

Allama Imam Hayat promoted an ideology that emphasized the establishment of a state and a world based on authentic religious values and humanity. This ideology, known as the World Humanity Revolution, has gained prominence in Bangladesh and other Asian countries, as well as in Europe and America, through the efforts of its members. It has given rise to the formation of the Humanity Revolution Bangladesh, which was officially registered in 2023 in Bangladesh.

History

Humanity Revolution Bangladesh was officially established in 2010 as a new political party in Bangladesh. Since its inception, Humanity Revolution Bangladesh has actively engaged in addressing major issues within the country. The party operates independently in Bangladesh and there is no evidence to suggest that they have formed alliances with other political parties or groups.

In 2017, Humanity Revolution Bangladesh applied to the Election Commission of Bangladesh for registration as a political party, but their application was initially rejected by the commission. Subsequently, Humanity Revolution Bangladesh filed a writ petition to the Appeal Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, which ruled in favor of Humanity Revolution Bangladesh. Following the decision of the Appeal Division, the party was successfully registered.[3]

According to the publication of the Election Commission, Humanity Revolution Bangladesh has been registered as a political party under the Representation of the People Order 1972, Chapter 2, House-2 (2nd Floor), Road-16/A-23/C, Gulshan-1, Dhaka-1212, until the appeal of the High Court Division on April 11, 2019, in the Writ Petition (12737/2018) and the opinion and order of the Appellate Division on Civil Petition for Leave to Appeal No. 2233 of 2019. The party's symbol has been preserved as "Apple." The registration number of the party is 46. [4]

Ideology

Religious values and humanity-based universal political philosophy.

Symbol

Humanity Revolution Bangladesh has standardized the use of the white rose as their official symbol. This white rose is prominently embedded in the center of the party's logo. However, when it came to selecting an electoral symbol, they encountered a limitation. Another registered political party in the country, named Zaker Party, already had the rose as their electoral symbol.[5]

Consequently, Humanity Revolution Bangladesh was unable to obtain the rose as their electoral symbol. Instead, they were assigned the symbol of an apple for the election. Despite this, the white rose continues to hold significance as the official symbol of Humanity Revolution Bangladesh and is featured prominently in their logo. [6]

Goal

The goal of the Humanity Revolution Bangladesh are stated as:

(1) Revival and reestablishment of human dignity above material possessions. (2) Liberation of human life from the destructive forces of anti-humanity and protection and development of the humanistic qualities of life. (3) Acquisition of natural resources and tools for a complete implementation of human ownership, the framework of a free life, and the pursuit of individual collective efforts in the attainment of a self-reliant, value-based, non-sectarian, democratic, universally humanistic state and a liberated humanistic world.

Objective

The objective of the Humanity Revolution Bangladesh are stated as:

To establish a peaceful, secure, knowledgeable, and holistic environment in pursuit of the absolute sovereignty of life and the correct orientation and comprehensive development of life and knowledge, while ensuring the framework and establishment of the institutional and organizational responsibilities of humanity, the protection of human rights, and the dynamic maintenance of a liberated life and world, free from all forms of oppression.

Election of 2018

In 2017, the application of Humanity revolution Bangladesh to be registered as a political party was rejected by the Election Commission. [7] As a result, the party decided to field independent candidates for the election. They had a total of 8 independent candidates participating in the election, but none of them were successful in winning a seat. The party believed that the election was rigged.

Each of the independent candidates had different electoral symbols assigned to them. The secretary general of the party, Mr. Rehan Afzal (Rahbar), contested the election with the symbol of an Apple, while the remaining candidates all contested with the symbol of a Lion.[8] The other candidates were Erfanul Hoque, Emdadul Hoque, Sabina Khatun Sabbi, Aref Sartaj, Milon Morshed, Sheikh Hanif, and Hasan Ahmed.

Among these candidates, Sabina Khatun Sabbi was the only female candidate in her constituency.[9] It seems that the party had additional candidates whose candidacies were considered void, but there is no further information provided about them.
