@Ymblanter He was born in Miami (his mother gave birth there), and this is because the sources say so. There is not a single reference that I have removed regarding him being the son of people from Guayaquil and being raised there. The confusion arises from the fact that foreign media did not delve much into the issue of his birth because they only relied on his political profiles, but not on Ecuadorian sources. What you removed was an Ecuadorian source. May be we can write that he was born in Miami according to some sources and Guayaquil according to some other sources (though if the Times of India is the only source saying this I would disregard it). You know, claiming an Ecuadorian president is a US citizen or is eligible for an immediate citizenship is a big deal, and we should avoid saying this without really good sources. But changing the subject a bit, I notice that you have shifted to legal formality, and not the 'couples' style, if that were the case. The lengthy legal process was only completed in 2021, and the divorce is indeed stipulated in the sources, and it was finalized in 2021, the same year that also formalized after a year and eight months. To avoid misunderstandings, I left it in the 'couples' style.
