'christened' - poor use of English

Para 3 of the Overview begins "In the 4th century, as the Roman Empire christened, ..." This makes no sense. Recommend replacing with "In the 4th century, as Christianity gained momentum in the Roman Empire...' Alexwent1 (talk) 23:52, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
