::No one ever said “DOWN GOES FRAZIER” was one of Cosell’s signature call. “DOWN GOES ANDERSON” isn’t Hamilton’s either. Just because it went viral doesn’t mean it’s a signature call. If I need to explain to you what the definition of signature,as it pertains to calls songs or other works,I’ll be more than happy to do so. Just let me know. Peace and blessings. ::::Oh,I get it. You and Frank Anchor are both from Ohio. You,especially are from the city of Cleveland. I’d like an unbiased editor to look at the page to rule on whether my definition of signature call is or isn’t valid. I’m pretty sure it’s valid. I’ll leave the page alone until I get the response from said editor. [[User:Smokiewight|Smokiewight]] ([[User talk:Smokiewight|talk]]) 22:12, 30 November 2023 (UTC) |

How about an audio clip of his famous HR call? Anyone able to do that? (129.22.58.144 17:56, 3 September 2006 (UTC))
- Probably a copyright violation. However, we could probably link to a site which had it, provided that it was an official Cleveland Indians site. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 03:07, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Hey guys, I found a small, low quality clip of Tom Hamilton's home run call, and its been up there for some time so, I am not sure if it is legal or not, but I think if Major League Baseball was concerned they would have already taken it down. It is at a page called "Daveweb's classic sound clips". The link is http://www.davidyounker.com/miscclip/index.html for the main page and for Hamilton's clip http://www.davidyounker.com/miscclip/hrcall.wav . I hope that helps you out.

"GONE to souvenir city or goodbye baseball! " I Removed this because Tom doesn't say it, Matt Underwood does. Youaredj (talk) 00:12, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
DOWN GOES ANDERSON!
I edited out that phrase because it is not among his signature calls, which is defined as something he regularly calls in practically every game. He doesn’t call “Down Goes Anderson” practically every game. Howard Cosell made the original call in the Ali/Frazier fight in ‘74 when he exclaimed “DOWN GOES FRAZIER!” twice and never said it again. So if you put it back up,I’m only gonna take it down again. Because that’s not what constitutes a signature call. Thank you for your time. Smokiewight (talk) 01:01, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- This one line went more viral and garnered more publicity than any of his regular lines have in 34 years. Cosell only used "Down goes Frazier" once, but it's the line that is most associated with him. Hamilton doesn't use "Down Goes Anderson" every game, but that one-time line got more buzz then his standard lines combined ever did. Vjmlhds (talk) 04:03, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
