== Release dates and recording dates ==

I remember discussing this years ago. I guess I don't understand the desire to include recording dates rather than release dates alone. Is there something magical about recording dates? Does knowing the recording date benefit the reader at all? And to give these dates within the table, confusing them with release dates unless indicated with an asterisk? To me it looks confusing and unnecessary. Let me be blunt: I think it looks terrible. A waste of time, an excess of unnecessary detail. I continue to believe that more information isn't necessarily better. I don't see Wikipedia as a contest to see who can include the most information about a subject. Isn't it possible to distinguish between useful information and useless information? [[User:Vmavanti|Vmavanti]] ([[User talk:Vmavanti|talk]]) 01:45, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
