== Why was this submission declined? == |

I wrote about this to ToadetteEdit separately, but I thought I might as well also post here. |

I do not understand why this submission was declined on May 6, 2024. The post says "In summary, the draft needs to meet any of the eight academic-specific criteria" the fifth criteria of which is "The person has held a distinguished professor appointment at a major institution of higher education and research, a named chair appointment that indicates a comparable level of achievement, or an equivalent position in countries where named chairs are uncommon." However, the first line of the bio explains clearly that the subject currently has a distinguished professor appointment, and, additionally, the first line under "Professional and Academic Career" documents clearly that the subject has held multiple named chair appointments. This would seem to be dispositive, more than meeting the criteria under the guidelines. |
|||
Additionally, the subject's top rankings in citation and SSRN metrics would seem to easily satisfy the first criterion of "The person's research has had a significant impact in their scholarly discipline, broadly construed, as demonstrated by independent reliable sources." |
|||
I did not create this profile, but I did edit it and I am a student in the field and so have some expertise. I will revise the profile some and resubmit. But I would appreciate it if someone could please explain to me if I am somehow misunderstanding the criteria or whether the decision was an oversight or whether the profile somehow did not convey the information in the proper way. |
