Does anyone have a source for the lede sentence: "The lead investigator stated that Bowman's failure to report the alleged assault eventually led to the perpetrator committing further acts of sexual abuse"? I'm seeing this quoted around the internet and attributed to NBC Sports but as far as I can tell it's not in the B&J report and might be from this article. Not a wiki user. Thanks. :I would need to double-check the Jenner and Block report. My understanding is there was a second lawsuit filed against the Blackhawks by a [then] Michigan high school hockey player who argued the Blackhawks were negligent by allegedly endorsing Aldrich.[https://chicago.suntimes.com/blackhawks/2021/12/27/22856192/blackhawks-sexual-assault-lawsuit-dismissed-brad-aldrich-houghton-michigan-john-doe-2#] I do not recall the report making the claim that Stan was directly fired for this in particular. I also cannot find any reliable sources that say this. I would say it should be re-written unless a source can be found to back up the current wording. --<small><span style="border: 1px solid">[[user:StarScream1007|'''<span style="background-color:White; color:#CC0000"> &nbsp;StarScream1007&nbsp;</span>''']][[User talk:StarScream1007|<span style="background-color:#003399; color:white">&nbsp;►Talk&nbsp;</span>]]</span></small> 02:17, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

Opening Paragraph

Does anyone have a source for the lede sentence: "The lead investigator stated that Bowman's failure to report the alleged assault eventually led to the perpetrator committing further acts of sexual abuse"? I'm seeing this quoted around the internet and attributed to NBC Sports but as far as I can tell it's not in the B&J report and might be from this article. Not a wiki user. Thanks. 2001:569:7D22:9500:C5E1:19C4:E527:E51 (talk) 00:33, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would need to double-check the Jenner and Block report. My understanding is there was a second lawsuit filed against the Blackhawks by a [then] Michigan high school hockey player who argued the Blackhawks were negligent by allegedly endorsing Aldrich.[1] I do not recall the report making the claim that Stan was directly fired for this in particular. I also cannot find any reliable sources that say this. I would say it should be re-written unless a source can be found to back up the current wording. --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  02:17, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
