Wow - that was quick.

I cleaned up that article so that it doesn't read like such an advertisment. Incidentally, the article is not my creation. I am working with the AFC Backlog Drive and figured that the suggested article had enough sources to warrant an article. Anyway, I'm done with it - got to get back to my original project - if it still does not meet Wikipedia Guidelines then by all means delete it =D.

One last thing, how on earth did you find it so quickly? I had scarcely put the thing up and was about to add the <nowiki>{{WPAFC}}</nowiki> tag to the talk page when I got the message that you had nominated it for deletion.

Runescape Scams

How is it bad? This is a good article to explain the dangers of runescape. It will also aid to alert players of scams.

The Barbaro

I have releid to your valid point on my page here [1].

Ah ha

Ah, so that's where my edit went. Sorry about the mixup. I thought the edit got lost because the Internet has been pretty weird where I live recently. I deleted that bit and your comment in response to it because it's obviously in the wrong place. It was supposed to be about the article on Toki Pona. Mithridates 22:56, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm

I'm not sure if I should start here or post it in your archive, so I'll do it here and you can move it if you want.
Why would you not want to get used to the heat? lol. BsroiaadnTalk 14:10, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oooohhh, haha, I thought you meant that you didn't want to get used to the heat because you enjoyed sweating your ass off for some reason. lol. I'd probably have the air conditioning on all year if I lived in that kind of weather. BsroiaadnTalk 01:35, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Really? Never heard that before, haha. How could it get so cold with it being so close to the equator? It doesn't snow though, does it? BsroiaadnTalk 18:51, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Does it snow a lot up in the foothills? BsroiaadnTalk 00:30, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jeez, the way people usually talk about Cali...it's always really really hot....in all of it. I've been wondering though...what do people say about New Jersey? Other than that it's toxic, dirty, and smells. Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 02:07, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The redwood trees are the ones that are big enough that you can drive through them, right? BsroiaadnTalk 13:26, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Returned Message

Hello. I went ahead and discussed my changes for that article, but the user making the changes keeps saying my edits are not cited when they are and put up some thing on my page saying that I'm a "sockpuppet" of someone named "JohnC1". I don't know how to get rid of it. I looked for "JohnC1" and I see nothing at all so I have no idea what that is about. I don't know what's going on but this dude is not even about putting facts about the situation because he keeps deleting all of them. Stormshadows00 21:36, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know about that rule

Thank you for the link....I wish I did know ahead of time. I got frustrated beicause the changes he made were false and no factual info was presented. I put up facts and they're deleted with this dude calling me "sockpuppet" and all this other mess. But I guess there's no use fighting. Do you know what a "sockpuppet" is and how I can get this thing off my page?

Speedy Deletion of DJ Styles

I don't feel that this page is eligible for speedy deletion. There are several verifiable sources about this topic. I have also made comments on the talk page for DJ Styles.

Frank Moore (artist) rename proposal

Hello Corvus cornix. See Talk:Frank Moore (artist) for a move proposal, based on the AfD discussion that you participated in. EdJohnston 03:38, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Corvus cornix. Um ok now the whole reason that I became a member to wikipedia was to make a page about my family. Now the whole reson that I wanted to do this was to add the page as a gift from my generation to my Grandfather, my Grandmother and to my father and his nine other siblings. My modavation for this is because that I am the youngest of my generation and the only one who was born after my grandparents died. From what I read on the links you left for me to read I and my countless cousins can only make this page if our family was famous or did many great things. Now I have never meet my Grandfather I have been told that he did many great thing for example he came over from Italy to America just before the first world war all by himself with next to no money before he was even 17. Now if to you this does not seem like a great thing and you want my family to have done something that would have made us famous you should look at my father. My father and his old company Susquehanna America which invented the modern nursing home. Finally in conclusion I am sorry if I may have come across a little harsh but I realy want to get this page made so that my siblings and cousins can show it to our parents before they die because out of my father and his nine siblings only six of them are still alive and they are all at least 67 years old and some of them are in bad health and even when they are gone this page on wikipedia could be used by our kids to show them thier past. Now my last argument to try to convince you to let this page be made is that my family's past is not boring and is full of so many amazing stories that anyone could enjoy and find wisdom from. So with the last bit of energy left in my tired body I ask you Corvus cornix please give approval for this page even if it will take several months to make due to the fact it will have over 40 people working on it. Please with my heart, soul, mind, and body please give approval for this page.

Yes, I've readen many times durin fair use overuse. In fact, I joined that discussion since the beginning. In this case, a single image to depict a character (the article in question is all about a character) isn't fair use overuse neither mass use of fair use images in articles. I suggest you read it too. Cheers!

My edit summary may have been missed or not done properly, but I removed a prohibited general discussion of the topic and placed it on the user's talk page. This is perfectly acceptable. VanTucky (talk) 02:37, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see. My mistake then. VanTucky (talk) 02:39, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not vandalizing

There's no reason a link to a non profit site showing a streaming video and down loadable video of the South Park Scientology episode can't be listed in External links.

You're welcome. :-P

I noticed a query on WP:AN/I by User:AnemoneProjectors about a possible copyright infringment about http://www.fonejacker.tv taking information from the Wikipedia article Kayvan Novak (and the IMBD entry) and placing a copyright tag on it claiming it is their own. Just letting you know I contacted the owners of the fonejacker.tv website and hopefully this can be resolved. I'll let you know if anything else develops. Cheers! — Moe ε 23:39, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ha, I just took a look at my inbox and found they replied and check out the page now http://www.fonejacker.tv/Kayvan_Novak.shtml guess we got through to them. :) — Moe ε 19:10, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's better than the copyrighted text :) I saw that at the bottom, it really makes me wonder if they even had a copyright on it or just added it there for looks. Anyways, appears to be resolved.. — Moe ε 19:18, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Golfdude8000

Hi, you posted on my article if it could be changed to a location without an honorific, Are you suggesting that it does not entail Dr. Melvyn Rubenfire? Because I did make a page originally as Melvyn Rubenfire, but I realized I forgot the doctor title and I thought it would be more respectful to use the title. Is there a downside to a honorific?

Golfdude REPLY:

Seems as those it was fixed automatically to redirect. Thank you very, very, very much, I am new to wikipedia article writing, and I appreciate your guidance. I definitely do not take annoyance, I think it's important that wikipedia has such policies.

Thanks for letting me know that this page I created was up for deletion. I really appreciate the fact I had an opportunity to weigh in on the discussion. Postcard Cathy

re: Dean V

Sorry, that was a mistake. I perceived that the template was under a blank heading when I removed it which didn't make any sense. For the notable guitarists sections - those things just need to be nuked as far as I'm concerned. They are in almost every guitar article and they never have sources. There are rarely any reliable sources backing up such claims. --Spike Wilbury talk 19:10, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Sparkzilla

I'm currently not criticising Sparkzilla because everyone else is doing a good job of that. I do feel it is important that good faith be applied in this scenario. Sparkzilla has posted a request for investigation into an admins activities and received nothing but personal attacks in return. SlimVirgin's own prior history with Sparkzilla and modus operandi in the current matter requires attention.--ZayZayEM 01:28, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable Sources

Hi I uploaded "The Citizens Foundation" article. The sources of this article are: 1.Various newspaper articles 2.The website of the organization 3.TCF annual reports

I have provided as many reliable refrences possible and have added some external links too. However some infromation (figures about the number of schools and students)is very recent which I got from the organization's employees. Uptill now, there is no written source available for that information.

What should i do? Are the present refrences and external links enough to make my article reliable ? --Ayesha munir 08:10, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Honor killing

Look at the edit just before my reversion: the user in question blanked the entire page, one section at a time.

Since then, he's been making more focused edits to try to improve the article. That's great, and I'm glad to see it--what I reverted was his wholesale blanking of the page. Tlesher 20:50, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I was wondering why this has the AFD tag (i.e....This article is being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy....

What is in the article is close to completely referenced to sources and where a citation is missing, this is noted/ Also it is the basis for further growth. Kwib 20:59, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm a neutral editor familiar with the field and I'm working on bringing this article into alignment with policy. GlassFET 21:28, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree, they've got multiple independent reviews of their product in mainstream media. That makes them notable. GlassFET 21:31, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're rather quick on the trigger and that would appear to violate WP:BITE with respect to the article creator. True, they had WP:COI, but you could have looked into it more. It took me seconds to determine that the company was notable, even though I hadn't heard much about them before. GlassFET 21:35, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone but the orignal author can remove the db. I did so because it was invalid. No need to then nom for afd without talking to anyone about. Sheesh. GlassFET 21:39, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flag icons

"Flag icons bug me no end, everywhere I see them. I wish we could get rid of them everywhere." Have you seen WP:FLAG, an attempt to rationalise how we use flag icons? If not it might be worth a look. --John 13:25, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I feel pretty much the same way. The essay is still at a fairly fluid stage. There are a few of us who would reduce greatly the number of flags displayed. Basically I would only use them on sports and international articles. Maybe see you at the talk page there some time. --John 00:23, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. The guideline specifically says not to use them in birth and death dates. My monobook code will now delete those. If you want to use it, feel free. Lightmouse 10:42, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The reason Portal:Current events/Inclusion includes a specific date is because events on the portal are put in local time. Thus, if, for example, an event happens in the morning in Australia, the page needs to be updated. Additionally, if the first notable event of the day doesn't occur until the afternoon in Canada, there's really no need to have an empty box sitting on the portal all day. -- tariqabjotu 23:19, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But when I went to Portal:Current events, I wasn't seeing today's or yesterday's news, and it said that July 19 was Wednesday. When I changed it, that problem went away. Corvus cornix 23:30, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now that you've reverted, the error is back again. Corvus cornix 23:48, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If I click on this version, it looks fine, but when I click on Current revision, it's wrong. Corvus cornix 23:50, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not saying you're hallucinating, but I don't see this in Firefox or Internet Explorer. -- tariqabjotu 00:02, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Paulo Barros

If you look at the history I did NOT create the original article--I was trying to expand a four-word contribution from User talk:AnY FOUR! that apparently was deleted before I finally hit Save. Evidence of notability is ont the Talk page. Sohelpme 04:57, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Get an admin to look at the full history--there's an initial version from the other user, just like I said, that said, in its entirety: "Paulo Barros is a Portuguese guitar virtuoso." I was just doing my best to improve on the other user's version. Sohelpme 05:07, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maggot

I wasn't attaking anyone I was just saying the truth... and all that I wrote was true... most of maggots are posers... and most of them are metalheads... most of them are just slipknot fans... I'm a maggot my self so... what is the problem?

sooo... are you saying that i have no sources? ok... first of all, search in google the words "slipknot maggot", before you see the little worm in rotting corpses hanging in a tree by a rope, you're gonna see that maggot is a slipknot fan. and if you're not satisfied with these, you can see urbandictionary.com there you CAN actuallly se that the word "maggot" alone means too a slipknot fan (of course not in a literal way... but death metal in a literal way is like... dunno, uranium) that's why the song "pulse of the maggots", is not about just maggots, it's about Maggots

OK... first of all... you said first that I was making a personal attack, I wasn't; second... i can use any page that apears in google... and third... i mentioned another page... and i know by myself what a maggot is

I saw that and had my giggle for the day. Dina 20:39, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
