Permission from me. I am a personal friend of the Christian family. I am a personal friend of the biographers. I am one of them. Google "Charlie Christian Bonham Texas" or "Charlie Christian Revisited" or "Charlie Christian Jerry Jerome Interview" and I am the author. I am using my friend Craig McKinney's book as a source. I have permission from him. He didn't want to do this article on wiki for this very reason I am having trouble with. This article was in very poor historic shape and no one seemed to mind. I first checked it over one year ago (May 2006) and saw it needed so much work I was in no hurry to do it. No one questioned the content. No one questioned the photo. Now, I have taken the time to update it and run into problems with someone who has an authority problem. Is wikipedia about facts or is it about something else? Is it about you? They could use you at "uncyclopedia." I am tempted to delete my contribution. Thank you.Erviltnec 01:07, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RSX 'Reality Synthesizer'[edit]

The changes I have made for quite some time now are consistent with the best reference for this graphics chip that I can find. It is here -> http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20060925/3d_tgs.htm

Use google or babelfish to translate if necessary. There are newer sites that list different information. The reason I keep pointing back to the Tokyo Game Show article, however, is simple: the newer sites with their different information are all listing information identical to older articles before the September 2006 Tokyo Game Show. The information listed at the site linked above is exact to what Sony announced at the September 2006 TGS. With only two months to go before the November roll-out date, there was not enough time to change specifications that are frequently listed at the earlier (and higher) figures, like the RAM and megahertz speeds, among other things. Many IPs have changed this data in formulas, already worked out by another IP user here months ago, but those making the spec changes are disregarding the results of the very formulas that they are altering, i.e. the 550MHz figure does not calculate to the result given.

Anyway, the Tokyo Game Show article is the most complete, accurate, and recent article that does not merely quote the much older and scaled-down specs that were originally announced on this video chip. If you translate the article and read it this is one of the first things they say--how the specs have been downgraded from what was both expected and announced. of nalts[edit]

Hello, it's me again. I believe Kevin Nalts (nalts) of YouTube fame has met the 'notable subject' criteria, so I believe the problem now is HOW! I don't know how to add hyperlinks and refer back to reliable sources. This wiki business is pretty confusing to the layperson. Do you recommend a good site or source on how to write an article for regular folks who simply do not 'get' all the jargon that goes along with this site? (For instance, the four tilde signature thing has me baffled. Do I use it now??? I don't know, let's find out!  :)Ajani57 13:32, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By golly it worked. There is hope for me yet! Ajani57 13:33, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And I'm back! Been clicking around and I totally understand why my 'of nalts' article was speedily deleted. I do however believe that my addition of 'Kevin Nalts (nalts)' to the Sharing Revenue section of the YouTube page should stand. He DID make the program. I do not know how to verify it except for this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJF4hq_0Swg where he announced to the community.

I've been keeping an eye on this guy all evening - this is about the 4th time he's recreated the same article, which is a copyvio of the company's website [1]. This falls within the grey area where personal judgement is required, which is why we have admins rather than bots doing the policing of the encyclopedia. For the record, your taggind was perfectly correct, and as you can see I have deleted it. The standard tags are held in WP:CSD. It does sometimes happen that no tag seems wholly appropriate. In this case I would suggest that you either add a {{prod}} tag, or pick the nearest appropriate {{speedy}}. If it is clear that an article needs deleting, the admin will make the final decision and, I am sure, will not shout at you. Keep going, you are working well at vandal notification and at article tagging (I had noticed). Happy wikying.--Anthony.bradbury"talk" 22:12, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your reasoning on RfA[edit]

You oppose me because I don't agree that that user name is offensive? That seems a bit much, I am entitled to my opinions as anyone else, no where did I imply that KP Botany shouldn't or couldn't be offended. The fact that I disagree with you or her reflects nothing about how I would use the admin tools. I too was surprised that the discussion on ChicagoPimp's user name was closed, in fact I was the one who suggested that the discussion be given time to mature, as I don't think a clear determination could be made from the few opinions presented. Just because I disagreed with KP Botany and the assertion that the username is offensive doesn't mean that I don't understand that it could be construed that way and I was only presenting my viewpoint in my argument, but we can't go around changing everything everytime one person is offended. Either way that oppose seemed pretty flimsy to me, of course you are entitled to oppose based on whatever you want but I urge you to reconsider your reasoning. Regardless thanks for commenting. IvoShandor 05:53, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, you insulted me during the discussion, by saying I was overly zealous and being politically correct.[2] You could have just argued against what I was saying, but you made it personal and personally attacked me rather than my arguments--and you don't know anything about me. Then your supports attacked Corvus for his vote, calling it bizarre.[3] Once you lead people down the road of focusing on the qualities of the person, not the argument, you've made it clear that this is a path you accept and invite others along ("over zealous," "politically correct," "overly sensitive").
Thank you Corvus cornix for judging the situation that existed, whether you agree with my stance on pimp or not.[4] KP Botany 16:08, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

I am used to getting railroaded on Wikipedia, though. Anyone who isn't a young, generally male, computer addict spending hours on the computer every day is fighting an uphill battle to think this community will ever accept outsiders as part. It's amusing the lengths and depths people will go to to protect their right to define what has grown beyond their ownership, though. KP Botany 16:14, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the best editors on Wikipedia are young adult males who spend hours a day on the computer, and they're some of the nicest. But if Wikipedia is going anywhere, it simply can't be owned by the in crowd, especially if the in crowd can't discuss an issue without personally diminishing anyone who disagrees with them. KP Botany 16:20, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Novogradac entries[edit]

The removal of advertising tags is only done in conjunction with other edits made to the page to make the wording more neutral. The style and format of the page is meant to resemble the other accounting firms on Wikipedia, which also list public practice areas, statistics and clients (see KPMG, Deloitte, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Ernst & Young). User:1WOMBAT1

Do you take time to read edits to pages or just put tags back on? Did you go to any of the other accounting firm Wikipedia entries noted above? User:1wombat1

Please note that the most recent edits to the page include references to third parties. I'm new to Wikipedia editing, so I can't see how referencing third-parties would be negative. The Novogradac page seems to have an intro, statistics, practice areas, and refers to some tax programs. The non-neutral stuff (such as recognition on lists) is consistent with the following from the DeLoitte page:

Ratings from interest groups Deloitte was named one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" by Fortune magazine "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers" for 2004 by Working Mother magazine. "Top 50 Best Companies for Diversity"; Essence's Top 30 Best Companies for African-American Women List; Latina Style - One of The Best Companies for Latinas Trainingmag.com - # 6 on list of Top 100 companies.

The major difference is that the Novogradac page has references to the recognition and the DeLoitte page does not. User:1WOMBAT1

Fair use[edit]

I did not know that was necessary. For example, take a look at this song page. The image is approved for use for discussion about the album. Since that is a song from that particular album, I do not see a problem.BP322 20:55, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I haven;t geo-stubbed for many months because I was under the impression that most places were mapped out - I was completely wrong!!!!. I can't beleive after six years many towns are still missing from Germany. If wikipedia is going to be the main global source of information its going to have to acknowledge these places and at least provide some information. I'd like to see the info boxes in these new articles and translation of the German asap. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 22:49, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also gradually adding all the villages in Tibet to try to complete a greater picture. My work on wikipedia varies greatly but I mostly work on film and filmbio related articles across the world and that related to the arts - I'm trying to add all the Hungarian painters and sculptors to wikipedia !!!! The project is developing well though ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 22:53, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Yes with Hungarian painters and sculptors I've started with A and Z - Sándor Ziffer is the latest I think. I'm also working my way through Finnish poets - starting with Aa - [[[Aale Tynni]]. I am also trying to create a wildlife series such as Wildlife of Pakistan. We'll get there eventually. SO much to do so little time!!! Hey buddy, I was just doing a bit of work at UAA, and saw your comment on the user-reported non-Latin username. Phish tribute albums[edit]

Why are these pages being considred for deletion? I spent hours on these pages. They are internationally released albums availabe from all over the world. Request to reconsider your opinion on deletion of Clayton Middle/High School[edit]

Hi, Since your vote in favor of deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clayton Middle/High School, I added information from three news articles about the school which establishes notability under Wikipedia standards (WP:N). Please take a look at the revised Clayton Middle/High School article and reconsider your vote. Thanks! Noroton 16:25, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quote: "I don't see how the additions do anything to increase the school's notability"
Notability is a Wikipedia standard set forth at WP:N. The additions meeet every one of the following standards from that page (or are you using your own definition of "notability"?):

General notability guideline[edit]

A topic is presumed to be notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.

  • "Significant coverage" means that sources address the subject directly in detail, and no original research is needed to extract the content. Significant coverage is more than trivial but less than exclusive.1
  • "Sources"2 should be secondary sources or otherwise provide objective evidence of notability. The number needed varies depending on the depth of coverage and quality of the sources. Multiple sources are generally preferred.3
  • "Reliable" means sources need editorial integrity to allow verifiable evaluation of notability, per the reliable source guideline. Sources may encompass published works in all forms and media. Availability of secondary sources covering the subject are a good test for notability.4
  • "Independent of the subject" excludes works produced by those affiliated with the subject including: self-publicity, advertising, self-published material by the subject, autobiographies, press releases, etc.5

Satisfying this presumption of notability indicates a particular topic is worthy of notice, and may be included in the encyclopedia as a stand-alone article. Verifiable content not supported by multiple independent sources may be appropriate for merger with another article.

-- (sorry, forgot to sign) Noroton 16:35, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

further response -- well, existence is good enough for Wikipedia when combined with reliable sources. Rather than try to judge notability by some vaguer, subjective criterion, Wikipedia policy as it stands just tries to establish that a subject has been notable enough for indpendent, reliable sources to describe. I hope you'll think it over again, and if you want to discuss it further, I'm happy to do so, but otherwise I'll leave it there. You are, of course, entitled to differ even with Wikipedia policy (I know I do on some points). Thanks for your time. Noroton 16:43, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm aware that he may feel that way, but he is not the end-all, be-all of Wikipedia. It is a community, and your modification is disruptive to a WikiProject. Justinm1978 21:37, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If the WikiProject can't follow the inviolate policies of Wikipedia, it doesn't deserve to exist. Just what am I "disrupting"? Follow WP:V and there's no problem. Don't follow WP:V, and you are not editing in good faith. Corvus cornix 21:40, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
WP:V is being followed, you are disrupting by blanket-deleting non-negative information without giving reasonable time to provide references rather than discussing the matter on the talk page, as WP:V suggests. Tagging with {{fact}} or {{not verified}} is clearly written as acceptable policy. You are going way too far on this, and editors are objecting. I suggest you stop and try to build community and enhance Wikipedia instead of trying to turn it to your own personal interpretation of WP:V, which is not editing in good faith. Justinm1978 21:54, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So you are noting that part of the policy, but completely ignoring the paragraph above it which supports my viewpoint, as well as that of other editiors contributing to the article and discussion. How about contributing to the article and enhancing it instead of blanket-deleting aspects of it simply because you don't agree with the method of WP:V? Justinm1978 00:34, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The anonymous user editing that article is a frequent violator of WP:AGF and WP:NPA, and sometimes acts a lot like a sneaky vandal (in fact, I've tried before at WP:ANI to get an admin to deal with this user's abuses), but they're correct about the claim of copyright violation (now that they've provided a link to substantiate the claim), so the text should probably stay deleted. -- Rbellin|Talk 03:07, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am curious as to why you have decided all of a sudden to nominate 6 of my articles for AfD?

I have created almost 100 articles related to Cuban things and have been praised for it.. All are sourced and notable in their fields.. Additionly, I stated in the discussion page of the Article of Miguel Luis Tamargo-Bautista that I was doing a trip to Cuba this August to get more info. So I am very curious as to why all of a sudden you decided to nominate myarticles for AfD. Callelinea 04:11, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Additionally, good manners would have told you and Afd policy recommends that you notify the creator of AfDarticles of you nominating them.. Especially since you have nominated 6 of them. Callelinea 05:05, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • It appears that she is now retaliating by going after some of your articles: If I Never Get Back, Christine Craft, others?. She's been blocked an hour for disruption (not by me). Corvus cornix 19:14, 3 July 2007 (UTC) Wikipedia's policy that is being cited as basis is from Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria items #3(a) and #8:[reply]

Abou this template above you placed in my discussion page. I'm following this statement below:

3. (a) Minimal use. As little non-free content as possible is used in an article. Short rather than long video and audio excerpts are used. Multiple items are not used if one will suffice; one is used only if necessary. 8. Significance. Non-free media is not used unless it contributes significantly to an article. It needs to significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic in a way that words alone cannot. The use of non-free media in lists, galleries, and navigational and user-interface elements is normally regarded as merely decorative, and is thus unacceptable.

In Bond girl there isn't any image to depict what a bond girl is and who performed one of them. No "non-free image overuse". And, as a film character, it is impossible to find a free one. If you do not agree (??) please discuss it but do not replace the image, you're not being construtive. Thank you.Parallel33

Megatech Update[edit]

Ah! Thank you so much for your help, I was truly confused. I didn't realize what channels that had to go through, and appreciate your letting me know how to set the article up for speedy deletion. I simply don't care enough about the article to fight for it (and try to avoid confrontation in general). Thanks again for your assistance.

Probably. I know I'd be out partying right now if I didn't feel sick. I should probably be sleeping, but my neck is killing me as well. And were you really a contestant on Jeopardy!? lol. BsroiaadnTalk 06:17, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
How long ago were you on it? If you don't mind me asking. BsroiaadnTalk 06:22, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Did you get anything at all? Like a parting gift or something? And how do you even get on shows like that? Do you have to sign up and go through a lot of stuff...like elimination rounds or something before-hand? BsroiaadnTalk 06:26, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Jackson song redux[edit]

Hey there. Because I'm getting rather tired from a discussion that seems to lead nowhere, and because the outcomes of the current non-notable Jackson songs are unclear (while I think there's still a clear case for deletion, I have seen things like these closed no consensus in the past), I don't want to nominate all of the other Jackson song pages that merit it; however, since you seem to be interested in getting rid of the Jacksoncruft too, I thought I would list some of the ones I've noted in the past:

Anyway, just thought I'd give you the info in case you wanted to do anything with them. Cheers! GassyGuy 07:00, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Big hoax?[edit]

O Hooded Crow, I noticed that you questioned the relevance of the cited sources for The Sacred Order of Skull and Crescent on that article's talk page. I think I may have found evidence of a hoax embracing that article and a couple of others; if you're interested, take a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Pugalist Club and let me know what you think. Deor 22:31, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have found further evidence related to this big hoax.

The same user who wrote the Sacred Order of Skull and Crescent Article, and created The Pugilist Club article you cited, is also meddling with the Barbaro Family page. I found numerous inconsistencies with that SOSC (Sacred Order of Skull and Crescent) article which he attempted to explain away citing unnamed sources, or sources only he claims to have access to. He has edited my personal comments on the discussion page of that article in what appears to me to be an attempt to cover his mistakes. In the discussion page of his SOSC article he has referenced pugilism, Amelia Earhart, the Wright Brothers, and a letter by Daniel Russell to a Bro. Chase, a letter which is also cited in his article on the alleged Skull and Crescent Order as being one of their prized artifacts. The citing of this letter was the final straw for me. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but when I found that letter quite amazingly and coincidentally while researching Theta Nu Epsilon on ebay of all places, it became clear that the article on the Sacred Order of the Skull and Crescent was founded mainly, if not wholly, on this individual's fantasies. That letter can still be found on ebay by putting 200101453405, the item number into the ebay search. When I casually conronted the author of the Sacred Order of the Skull and Crescent wikipedia article with this, he initially presented a fantastic notion that perhaps the SOSC members were engaging in the ruse of selling their sacred artifacts to themselves in order to make them look worthless. When I gave the ebay item number, then he quite suddenly and conveniently recalled that oh yes, he just remembered that in his unavailable source it says they reprinted copies of this letter for their members and that this must be one of those ultra rare reprints. The buyer (obviously the author of the Skull and Crescent article, The Pugilist Club, and the bastardizer of the Barbaro Family page) left positive feedback for it. Any dullard can tell an original hand written letter from a copy, if it were a copy negative feedback would have been left. Then upon looking into the publicly available links to items this same person purchased on the online auction site, I found many other fraternity related items as well as Amelia Earhart, Wright Brothers, and pugilism posters! Now I find the author's wikipedia alias is Tiki-Two. Well, that name is almost exactly what the ebay user who purchased this masonic letter uses!

I do not know what his motives are, but it seems he (perhaps in conjunction with associates) are building a hoax on wikipedia, possibly as members of a fraternity. It is possible that he is building a collection of items that he intends to present and cite in articles as important artifacts of secret societies. As a relative outsider to wikipedia, I don't know what course to take, and really don't have the time to find out. I mainly enjoy reading wikipedia articles, not engaging in what to me is vain online argumentation. This individual may find and delete this post, but hopefully it will get through to someone at wikipedia who knows what to do. Wikipedia should not be used to further some publicity stunt or fraternity hoax.

There is no record anywhere else online of a Vitus Sebastian Barbaro that I can find. There is no record anywhere else online of The Sacred Order of Skull and Crescent either. There is no record of a "Pugilist Club" aka "Fight Club" at Purdue anywhere else online.

This won't be the only place I send the above information. Hyper_individualist@yahoo.com July 5, 20:02 PST

And the article on Fenwick High School has been pulled into the mess, since that is where these guys would like us to believe Vitus went to high school.
Jim Dunning | talk 18:40, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • The hoax has been exposed, but now the hoaxer may be creating hoaxes within hoaxes by masquerading as representatives of the Barbaro Family and Fenwick High School, etc in the related discussion pages. Mr Dunning has assumed good faith on some of these recent entries in discussion pages, and he may well be correct. Time will tell, but if anything else occurs along these lines IP bans might be in order. But I do have one point to make regarding assuming good faith on this--if the same IPs are related to seemingly credible entries in the past which have now been adulterated from the same source terminals and it now appears that a parent or someone in a similar position may be trying to rectify it, why haven't they themselves cleaned the entries up? If they were proficient in wikipedia editing before, why suddenly have they apparently lost their touch? Logic perhaps isn't my strong suit, but it seems to me to be quite inconsistent and highly suspicious. I hope to be proven wrong.

Friend, don't you think you should exercise a little patience and look into things before you nominate an article for AfD that is all of one minute old? Not everyone writes articles in sandboxes, so you might want to actually take the time to determine whether an article is really notable or not. Did you take the time to read through the project's proposed air incident notabilty criteria? Did you take the time to understand the AMASS system and how its prevention of a tradgedy alone makes this incident notable? I don't mean to come down too hard on you, but AfDs shouldn't be taken lightly, and you need to exercise some caution when nominating them. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 01:57, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barbaro[edit]

Corvus cornix, could you please fill me in about some Barbaro Family hoax and the recent edits at Talk:Fenwick High School (Chicago, Illinois), please? Thank you.
Jim Dunning | talk 14:15, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So is the Barbaro Family even real? Now I've got this anon IP begging me to call Fenwick to confirm that "Vitus Barbaro" actually exists (like that'll happen), and has stated, "This is a work related hoax that went way too far. This person was also involved with shipping and knew ebay purchases as well- I need not say more." If this is indeed an elaborate hoax, I'm impressed with the effort (but a good comic always knows when to leave them laughing (or wondering, in this case).
Jim Dunning | talk 18:34, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Barbaro family of Venice does (or did) indeed exist, but Italy nullified titled nobility in the early 1900s and being related to them isn't worth a hill of beans these days. I think the fact that the hoaxer is suggesting you call a high school is significant, especially when the hoax concerns "V. Barbaro's" college activities. The tone of the editor on the Pugalist Club afd certainly suggests a young teen, and the general topics (vampires, cool cars, and aliens, oh my!) are the sorts of things a young teen would be interested in. The hoaxer is probably a student at that high school, and the begging for a phone call is probably an attempt to harass a disliked school administrator. Sad affair all around, really. I can only imagine how pitiful the hoaxer's real life would have to be for them to do something like this. Oh well. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 18:56, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There's a chance all of this may be coming to an end. This was just posted on the Fenwick Talk page. Unless it's just perpetuating the hoax to another level, it sounds like a parent trying to clean up his/her kid's mess. The couple IP addresses used by the hoaxer (and probably Tiki) are the same ones used by what appeared to be a serious (and very persistent) contributor to the Fenwick article over the past month. I'm inclined to believe her/him.
By the way, the first mention of "Vitus Barbaro" on the Fenwick page (by 4.142.117.18) was on May 29, 2007, one day after all the Tiki, 4.142.xxx.xxx and 65.54.xxx.xxx activity started on the Barbaro family page. Thanks for the interesting distraction.
Jim Dunning | talk 19:49, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Corvus. I may just be a suspicious old fart, but I suspect that all these new apologetic messages are indeed "just perpetuating the hoax to another level." Note that they are all accompanied by a plea to restore the information about Vitus Barbaro to the Fenwick H.S. and Barbaro family articles. My take is that the hoaxer or hoaxers have realized that there's no hope that the Pugilist Club and Skull and Crescent articles will survive AfD, so they're just trying to keep this Vitus Barbaro stuff in WP wherever they can. I, for one, won't accept his notability (assuming that he exists) until I see some reliable sources.
With regard to Barbaro family, I think that it should be unprotected if and only if the editor(s) who want to restore material agree to provide detailed citations to support everything that's in the article now and to support each addition they make to it—not these "Golden Books" that can be consulted only by traveling to Venice, and not just a vague list of sources at the bottom of the article, but comprehensive footnotes or inline citations that can be used to verify each statement in an accessible secondary source. Just my opinion, of course. Deor 22:07, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on University of Maryland Gamer Symphony Orchestra. I do not think that University of Maryland Gamer Symphony Orchestra fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because The aricle asserts significance with "the first college orchestra ever created that is dedicated solely to video game music.". Yeah, it's really annoying, and it's sad to see that this vandalism has spread to user pages and user talk pages, outside of simply Mudkip and Talk:Mudkip. This is the most widespread case of vandalism that I have ever seen in my 7 months of editing Wikipedia. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done to stop this vandalism because it's impossible to block every single user and anon. ––Ksy92003(talk) 20:37, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting Damage from Hoax[edit]

Dear Sir,

As I have expresed to Mr. Dunning on Fenwick High School's talk page, there are now privacy issues with Mr. Barbaros Ebay information that this foolish boy created by using that ID. Mr. Dunning is aware of the whole situation, and has asked me to notify everyone about what is going on. We are all very angered y this behavior, and I fully understand your feelings. Please allow me to coreect certain privacy issues. Thank you sir

I apologize for my comments in the closure of this AfD. Personally, I don't think you should have tagged the article so soon, as I think brand-new articles should be given a little more time to improve (which this one did). I'm sure that your nomination was indeed in good faith, but it might have been just a bit premature. Ten Pound Hammer(((Broken clamshellsOtter chirps))) 23:55, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Newpage redirects[edit]

I guess we were looking at newpages at the same time. Do you think you should leave a note on creators' talk page when you redirect new pages? I try to help people improve the articles instead of redirecting them to a related subject. I guess I'm a bit confused about why you thought they needed to be redirected. It feels a little bitey to me. BenB4 22:01, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Both of them, actually. I helped with Manfest hoping the creator would come up with some content, but Secondfest had three fairly decent paragraphs, and when I went to wikify it, I saw you had redirected it without leaving the creator a note or merging it into the target. BenB4 22:05, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was not the one who removed the redirect. Please review WP:BITE. BenB4 22:14, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was referring to the creators of those articles. Neither your redirects or your afd resulted in any hints on their talk pages.
