This is a list of characters who appear in the Pucca television series.

Main characters

Pucca

Age 10 (turned 11 in 'Slam Bam Birthday Bash'), birth date July 7th, Pucca is the series' titular character. She is hopelessly in love with Garu, constantly trying to kiss him.She onced kissed Abyo by accident. Pucca will also try anything to win Garu's heart. Pucca never speaks in the series, instead communicating with giggling, kissing, and growling sounds (it is mentioned by Ching, however, that she has a pretty singing voice). Pucca lives with her guardians, the 3 Master Chefs at the Goh-Rong Restaurant.Pucca's best friend is a girl named Ching.Pucca never opens her eyes but opened them in "Dance,Pucca Dance" when she wears a costume that looks just like Garu. She is very strong, fast, and giggly. She also delivers noodles from the restaurant on her scooter. She once span a merry-go-round so fast that she,Garu,Abyo,Ching and Ssoso went to the time of the dinosaurs. She even tries to marry Garu in "Scenes from the Maul" but it dosen't work out. Pucca has a pink cat named Yani who is in love with Garu's cat Mio.She oned ran on water from Sooga village in China all the way to Austrailia. Pucca has kissed Garu in every episode except a few. Although she isn't a ninja she has demonstrated some unique abilities of her own that make up for what she lacks in training. Some of these abilities are: a nearly indestructible head, the ability to run on water, the ability to 'transform' (demonstrating the ability to become a mermaid, and a parody of a Sailor Scout), and immense strength. Though she is typically sweet-natured, Pucca can be very aggressive and temperamental when she does not get her way. Pucca has very long black hair, but usually wears it in her famous odango style. Garu

Age 13 as of "The Cursed Tie" birthday December 2, Garu is a skilled somewhat serious-natured and selfish ninja, and the object of Pucca's love. To Pucca's frustration, he very rarely returns her affection and frantically tries to escape when Pucca kisses him. Pucca annoys him frequently, and her meddling with his life seems to lead him to insanity, as seen in "Flower Power".He appears in every episode except "Peace out"(but he makes a slight appearance on a magazine Pucca was reading),"A better boyfriend" and "Chef Slump" When Pucca kisses him, he groans and blushes. Like Pucca, he does not talk at all in the TV series, continuing to only use the sounds from the Flash cartoons. In "Treasure of the comfy sofa", Gau yells "Pucca!"to Pucca to help him when he was sinking in a sea of coins but Pucca can't hear him. It's explained in the TV series that he's taken a vow of silence (in the episode "Romancing the Clone" however, the clone speaks throughout the episode). He will immediately accept a quest if told it will bring him "great honor".Garu has a black, ninja cat named Mio. Like Pucca, Garu is capable of superhuman athletics and endurance, such as running around the entire world without tiring, but not to the same degree. In the episode "Slam Bam Birthday Bash", he blew a kiss out to Pucca (which he nearly vomited after getting the idea) to help her stop crying. In addition to being a skilled fighter, Garu has also demonstrated the ability to play the erhu. In the episode "Evil love" he is hit by a Cupid arrow and falls in love with Pucca. His role is Pucca's love interest and Abyo's best friend. Voiced by: Brian Drummond (English), Motoko Kumai (Japanese)

Uncle Dumpling, Ho and Linguini

The owners/chefs of the Goh-Rong Chinese restaurant, and Pucca's guardians. They are Uncle Dumpling or Jang Toong, Ho or Ho-Oh and Linguini or Woo-Wuh. They cook jajangmyeon noodles as a team, with Linguini twisting the noodles, Uncle Dumpling chopping up the vegetables, and Ho heating up the dishes with his bare hands. They hold their noodles in very high regard, and possess a culinary honor system. In "Chef Slump," it is revealed the chef brothers are actually quite adept in athletics and martial arts (but in a cooking matter). Dumpling, for example, can handle his knives like swords. The chefs cook the best noodles in Sooga Village and possibly the world. Voiced by: Michael Dobson (Uncle Dumpling), Brian Dobson (Ho) and Dale Wilson (Linguigi) (English), Hiroshi Naka (Uncle Dumpling), Jouji Nakata (Linguini), Shigeru Chiba (Ho) (Japanese)

Abyo

Abyo is Garu's friendly best friend and rival but more of friend. A practitioner of Kung-Fu, Abyo is very competitive, friendly, and excitable. Ching is in love with him. He is unaware of Ching's love for him, but sometimes he will return her affections. In "Misplased Face", he and Ching kiss at the end, with their faces upside down. He typically rips his own shirt off at least once in every episode, the only exception being an episode where he rips off every time getting a higher bill from the shop owner. He sometimes wears a yellow suit instead of a black and white jacket. Under his jacket,he wears a white T-shirt. His weapons are a pair of Nunchucks. His physical appearance is an homage to martial arts icon Bruce Lee. Abyo is the son of Bruce, the police chief of Sooga. Abyo does not understand Ching is in love with him in "A better boyfriend", but ends up getting kissed by Ching while trying to stop her. He is the love interest of Ching. Ching

Ching is the daughter of Chang. Ching is in love with Abyo, Garu's best friend.Chang is the master of Turtle Training Hall from which she learned sword-handling and combat. Ching likes to shop. She is a very sweet girl with virtually no enemies, who can often be seen jump-roping, and playing with her best friend Pucca. She also has a magic-egg laying chicken named Won that can often be seen sitting on her head. She would like to marry Abyo, but he is not interested. She is Pucca's best friend. Her relatoinships are-Pucca:best friend,Abyo:love interest and Garu:ally. Voiced by: Chantal Strand (English), Sachi Sukigara (Japanese).

First appeared in a Christmas story, but later began to appear frequently, showing what he does while it is not Christmas. This includes many jobs such as being a doctor, a taxi driver and a shop keeper. He is mainly used for comic relief. He is usually an unwitting victim of Pucca when she is after Garu, for example when he dressed up like Garu to get chocolates from Pucca, (and was beaten with a tree afterwards...). In one episode it is shown that Santa is also signing up to become a ninja like Garu. He is seen in all but a couple of episodes. It has been revealed that before he became Santa, he was known as a thief by the name of Red Lantern who used to work in pair with a black ninja named Black Powder. Voiced by: French Tickner, (English), Yasunori Masutani (Japanese)

Tobe

A main villain, who wants to defeat Garu at all costs. He uses two swords in battle. Tobe is rarely able to defeat Garu however, much less Pucca. He is unaware of Jing-Jing's love for him. But in the episode "Evil Love", Socrates, the brown cat from the Cat Clan, accidentally shoots a Cupid Arrow into Tobe and he falls in love with Jing-Jing. He also married her just as Pucca took the arrow out to use on Garu, who Pucca loves. In the television series, he often makes quips that range from melodramatic to just plain ridiculous (i.e. "The fly is walking right into my web-like...mousetrap."). Tobe has an X-shaped scar between his eyes and usually wears his ninja mask, showing only the above. However, Tobe has been seen without his mask a number of times before, in which he has a samurai ponytail. He is 13 years old. He hates skipping and fancy folk music.Voiced by: Lee Tockar (English), Mugihito (Japanese)

Major villians

Tobe's ninjas

Tobe's evil henchmen. They use swords in battle and wear masks like Tobe. They do their best to help Tobe but they are unintelligent, but they have been smart a number of times. They also barely remove their masks.

The Vagabond Ninja Clan

A trio of gypsy crooks. They don't get up to much evil, mostly performing petty crimes. They are: Binggure (or Clown), kicked out of the circus for not being able to laugh (left-hand man to Jing-Jing) (even though he can't laugh he laughed in "Misplaced Face"when Abyo embarresed himself and chuckled in "Chicken Spots"), Jumong (or Shaman), a bungling magician, (right-hand man to Jing-Jing). And Jing-Jing (or Chief), the female boss of the Vagabond Ninja Clan. Jing-Jing is in love with Tobe. They are Mio's best friends and rivals. They are also in in love with Yani, Pucca's cat. Though never mentioned in the show, their names, according to the Jetix website are: Brutus, Socrates, and Napoleon. Socrates is possibly Tobe's cat. Napoleon (the green one with black stripes on his head) is possibly Jing-Jing's cat.

Doga

An evil and nice wizard similar to Shaman, but far more capable in magic. She has been usually seen in the background, being friendly and nice.
