I believe the term would be "overkill" in your approach. I appreciate it appears to be your stylistic approach to editing, but nonetheless it's easier to simply cite what is there - than to remove, then replace within the space of 5 minutes, no? Simply quoting WP:BLP doesn't actually validate what you are doing - particularly as you appear to be picking on extremely weak subjects; like removing him crossing 1000 yards...

Given WP:BLP's reference is to "poorly sourced contentious material"[[1]] I really do think you're taking the letter of the law in exactly the wrong way.Koncorde 00:09, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Hochuli pic

My take on using the autographed picture is that you would have to have been the person who actually took the pic in order to use a GFDL or other such license. However, I would still encourage you to use another fair-use rational and use the pic it for the infobox, because I bet it's a high-quality image that would still be a really great addition for the article. You could also try looking around the Help:Contents/Images_and_media page and see if there's anything helpful. Monowi 04:55, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Featured List of the Day Experiment

There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. Andy Olemgbe

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Andy Olemgbe, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
