A Little Bit Longer will be the third studio album released by the Jonas Brothers.[1] It is their third studio album and their second album to be released under the Hollywood Records label, and is set to be released on August 12, 2008.[2] "Burnin' Up" will be album's first single and will officially be released via radio stations on June 20, 2008.[3] Also on that same day, the music video for "Burnin' Up" will premiere on Disney Channel, following the premiere of Camp Rock.[4] The title of the album, "A Little Bit Longer", comes from their song of the same name, which Nick Jonas wrote about his dealings with having diabetes. The CD will be released using CDVU+ technology,[5] and it has been confirmed that there will be twelve songs on the album. Timbaland announced that he had worked with the Jonas Brothers for this album,[6] and James Bourne is also said to have worked with the band for this album.[citation needed]

Tracklisting

Confirmed tracks

Contributing Artists

Kevin Jonas will be playing lead guitar, and singing background vocals. Joe Jonas is singing lead vocals, and playing keyboards, tambourine, and various other percussion instruments. Nick Jonas is singing lead vocals, and playing rhythm guitar, drums, and piano.

In addition to the Jonas Brothers, John Taylor will play guitars on the record, Ryan Liestman will contribute keyboards, Jack Lawless will be playing drums, and Greg Garbowsky and Benjamin Williams will record the bass tracks.

It is presumed (but not confirmed) that Timbaland is featured rapping on the song "Burnin' Up."

Singles/Music Videos

"Burnin' Up" will be album's first single and will officially be released via radio stations on June 20, 2008. The music video for the song was filmed in May 2008 in San Pedro, California, and, so far, it has been confirmed to premiere on June 20, 2008 on Disney Channel, following the premiere of Camp Rock.

According to Billboard Magazine, the soon-to-be released singles from this album are "Burnin' Up", "Love Bug", "Shelf", and "A Little Bit Longer".

“Love Bug,” is a complete departure for the band. Stripped down at the beginning—and featuring an interlude with the sound of Joe Jonas tap-dancing—it builds to a traditional, catchy pop ending.

Scheduled third for release is “Shelf,” which has guitar-driven undertones much like early Weezer. Finally, there’s “A Little Bit Longer,” a ballad written by Nick Jonas out of fear and frustration when he was diagnosed three years ago with type 1 diabetes.
