Long or offensive user names and signatures

Hello. I believe wikipedia doesn't allow long or offensive user names or signatures. Please see Wikipedia:Signatures and Wikipedia:Username policy. --Timeshifter (talk) 02:07, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. Do you? yes...|or no · 00:15, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would it really be a sacrifice to sign your name with your name? Even as revised, your sig code is too long (based on the amount of code it uses, not just the displayed length). -- Rob C. alias Alarob 19:46, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He seems to have changed it to something smaller, so at the moment (since there is not user named "Do you" or "Do you?") I think his sig is fine. Basketball110 My story/Tell me yours 19:48, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with both. It is now an acceptable sig, as it is no longer offensive, although it would be better to use something similar to the username.- Nabla (talk) 01:17, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Is this similar enough? Do yo (knome)? yes...|or no · 11:24, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would say so. Thank you! - Nabla (talk) 15:48, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has asked for a deletion review of March 19, 2008 anti-war protest. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Totti navbox

What a great idea. Hope you don't mind, but I've borrowed it for some other footballers' pages as well. :) Beemer69 chitchat 03:35, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, your welcome. I really wasn't my idea though, I too saw it from another article (Giovanni Trapattoni) while I was adding a template for the Italian Euro 2004 squad to the players' and coach's articles. :) Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 14:22, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Graphical content problem, a page you created, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Graphical content problem and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:WikiProject Graphical content problem during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 20:31, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would you agree to withdraw the nomination and "historicify" the wikiproject as a "bad idea". I think this would work better. Otherwise what I tried back then will end up reappearing with a new name. There are many examples of such historic "bad ideas" in the past. See pages tagged with {{historical}} for a few examples. -- Cat chi? 11:22, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Sure. I have no problem with that, as long as it's no longer "usable". It's also a way of blocking others to re-create such "bad ideas". Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 06:24, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:

First of all, please remember this when talking to me. Also, I consider removing a large amount of text vandalism. DustiSPEAK!! 20:47, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, then your definition of vandalism is highly wrong. It's clearly pointless having "Qualification scenarios" once there are no longer any possible scenarios than one, since the group is over. That's just plain obvious. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 20:52, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would appreciate it if you didn't template me. I am walking away from this situation as it just seems to be a content dispute, and the whole area is not my area of understanding. In the future, instead of using Twinkle to automatically warn someone, go through and see if they are an established user or not. You'll save yourself conflict. DustiSPEAK!! 20:55, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Clarification, it was considered vandalism when a large amount of text was removed without an edit summary. DustiSPEAK!! 20:56, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, that was one of the poorest essay I've ever read. It's almost discriminating. And plus using templates with Twinkle is just much faster and no essay is gonna stop me from doing so. Sorry if this bothers you, offends you or you think I'm mean. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 20:59, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After taking a second to breath and recollect, I think I came off rather harsh and I apologize. I do ask though, that you instead write a little note asking someone about his/her edits, rather than assuming bad faith on someone's part. In addition, I am asking the IP address to consider using an edit summary in the future. Thanks and if you need anything, let me know. DustiSPEAK!! 21:40, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

And how's my adoptee? Got any questions? RC-0722 361.0/1 03:58, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I'm fine. Getting into the whole UEFA Euro 2008 thing, though it's quite a headache at times. By the way, did I do a decent job at archiving some of my talk page, or are the archives too "small"? Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 06:54, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, you did good. I noticed it was getting pretty long. :) RC-0722 361.0/1 22:02, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Del Perio

I was attempting to correct the tables since there seems to be large spaces on Italys side. I hope you are not as rude to people in the real world as you appear to be on wikipedia! Yatesy1988 (talk) 18:44, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh well, since you brought this conversation here, let's continue it here. Sorry if I sounded rude before. Anyway, what do you mean by "large spaces on Italys side"? IT looked fine here to me! If anything you added more space by breaking Alessandro Del Piero's name and last name, or at least that's what I got from your editing. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 19:52, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re;Bin Laden

hahah i just hate the fact that it was back masked and people really think that it was part of the song and i bought the 12" and it has no Eminem on it what so ever... —Preceding unsigned comment added by HardKnockLife (talkcontribs) 05:42, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow you're right. I just heard it too. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 06:44, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image speedy tags

Why are you tagging images with WP:CSD#I4? That criteria says they need to be in the category for at least seven days but you're tagging images that were only uploaded yesterday or a few days ago. Am I missing something? —Wknight94 (talk) 17:46, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oops. I'm so sorry...somehow I always thought it was to be deleted after seven days...my fault. By the way, is there something we can do about this user's actions? His talk page says it all. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 17:56, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay. No worries. Did you have this in mind? —Wknight94 (talk) 18:08, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You've nominated this for speedy deletion and for a discussion based deletion. I'm a bit cornfused...Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 21:20, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I figured one of the two had to be right in case as I wasn't sure. I know it sounds not so smart at this time, but as you may notice from the headline above, I'm not really the brightest when it comes to speedy deletion. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 00:10, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorta thinking Talk:Abdul Hadi Palazzi should be blanked anyway

I see you have been trying to protect Talk:Abdul Hadi Palazzi from being blanked by anon IPs... While I normally would find this admirable, looking more closely at the page raises some serious WP:BLP issues. There are a lot of unsourced allegations about Palazzi which are of grave concern. (see WP:ANI#Rangeblock?) Perhaps the page should be blanked after all? Or at least the unsourced allegations? What do you think? --Jaysweet (talk) 16:52, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Euro 2008

Only idiots who shouldn't edit Wikipedia at all update live scores of ongoing matches. Whether they disfigure the article purposefully or merely out of stubborn stupidity isn't relevant when all is said and done. user:Dorftrottel  19:36, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i'm not even going to bother with you. I'm simply reporting you. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no · 19:39, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've left, but for the record, there seemed to be agreement that updating live scores is against policy, namely WP:NOT#NEWS. I didn't quote it, because my experience is that people will just dismiss the applicability of rules they don't like. But I was right. And you were wrong. 78.34.137.178 (talk) 01:15, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, funny...you were right about what?? That all those edits you reverted were vandalism? That you didn't violate WP:3RR? That we should tolerate your behaviour and accept your insults? That we are all idiots because we don't agree with what you think is right?...seriously, you still don't even know what vandalism is! Anyway, best wishes.
