Inappropriate username

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: it implies an intention to commit violence against others. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Speedy deletion of Tc Comics

A tag has been placed on Tc Comics requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.

It is inappropriate to edit another editor's userpage. Communication relevant to the Wikipedia project should be placed on the other editor's talk page, not their userpage. Please do not do so again. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:41, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 01:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hippieslayer you should be a member of Wikipedia projest The Simpsons

--Springfield MO Native JH (talk) 01:40, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Springfield MO Native JH[reply]

Hello, thank you for becoming a member of The Simpsons WikiProject. The Project has been around for over a year and has seen many Simpsons related articles improved exponentially. The members of the Project have achieved many successes, including getting two entire seasons of The Simpsons promoted to Featured topic status as well as getting many articles promoted to Featured article and Good article status. For a full list of Project accomplishments, see this page. There are currently several drives within the project, including a drive to improve the episodes of season 4 and a drive to improve the core articles of the project. If you would like to work on a page and need help, please see our guide to sources or the style guide. If you require any further assistance, please leave a message on the project talk page, or ask myself or Gran2. Once again, thank you for joining the project, and happy editing. -- Scorpion0422 02:11, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Response

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you want me to do? Give you an idea for a page? If so, I don't really have any unfortunately. Also, I have my exams in a few weeks so I don't have that much time for Wikipedia at the moment, but I'll still be able to answer any questions you have. Gran2 06:18, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and welcome to The Office Wikiproject! I'd just like to say thanks for becoming a member of the project, and if you need any help or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask either myself, or on the project talk page. Mastrchf (t/c) 19:50, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Dogspit2". The reason given for Dogspit2's block is: "Vandalism-only account".

Decline reason: It appears that you have violated our Wikipedia:Sock puppetry policy which prohibits the use of multiple accounts. Judging from the fact that you created the now deleted article Tc_Comics and Dogspit2 created Tc_comics, are you two not the same person? --  Netsnipe  ►  12:54, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No me and DogSpit2 aren't the same person just two friends who wanted our "small business" of comics to be recognized and one day hopfully admiered.

Re:Hey Scorpin

Thanks for the offer, but I really have no interest in adminship. -- Scorpion0422 00:47, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Admin

Thanks for the offer, but not wanting to be an admin has nothing to do with being a teenager, I just don't want to be an admin. Gran2 05:37, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FILMS Welcome

Welcome!

Hey, welcome to WikiProject Films! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films, awards, festivals, filmmaking, and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.

A few features that you might find helpful:

  • Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.

There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

  • Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
  • Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Announcements template to see how you can help.
  • Want to know how good our articles are? Our assessment department has rated the quality of every film article in Wikipedia. Check it out!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 (talk) 18:53, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The message board is one place you can look for film articles to work on. You can always just work on films that interest you, or articles you stumble on. You can take a look at this category for a list of stub articles that could be expanded with more information. You can also take a look at the Announcements, which includes a list of articles that need infoboxes, plots, cast sections, among other issues. We have a variety of task forces you can join, which will allow you to focus your efforts on one type of genre or national cinema. You can also work on a single article, adding enough information and sources to bring it up to Good Article or Featured Article status. We have over 40,000 film-related articles within our project, so take your pick on what you'd like to work on and happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 20:21, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I can help you with any questions you have. I only list Damienhunter as a friend on my page because I know him outside of Wikipedia. However, he rarely edits anymore, so I doubt you'll receive a message from him. If you'd like I can move your infoboxes for you to the right side of your user page, or would you prefer me to tell you step-by-step how to do it? --Nehrams2020 (talk) 22:13, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, anybody can edit another user's page, although it is best to ask for permission first. Don't ever give your password out to anybody, as someone could take over your account and vandalize, and you could get your account banned. I'll fix your page now, once it's done let me know if you wanted it to look another way. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 22:34, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the delay, I've been without Internet for the last couple of days. If you want to add the StatusBot box to your pages, follow the instructions here. To transclude a template onto a page, simply put {{subst: before the template's title. For example: {{subst:Welcome}}. Since I may have delays in getting back to you for questions you may have, you can consider getting adopted in the adopt-a-user program. There, editors help to take care of new users and show them the ropes and answer questions you may have. I'm still available to answer questions you have though if you're not interested in that or have more specific questions related to the stuff I edit here. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 20:25, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:I Need Help

Here are a list of things you can do. Make sure you follow the wikipedia policies and guidelines, and make sure every statement is reliable sourced. If you need any examples or stuff to base on, take a look at some of the articles listed here. -- Scorpion0422 22:27, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

edit

Userpage

It's a bit of a long and arduous process. If you'll go to his page, copy the main base code into yours. Then, for each page that is a format code or such, create your own page similar to that with the same code, and change the links. It'll take some learning and toying around with to get a good understanding of it. Mastrchf (t/c) 20:50, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Put this <div style="height: 1000px; overflow: auto;"> above your userboxes, you might have to do some other stuff, I can't remember. Gran2 12:39, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
