Thank you for your comments. Please be advised that:

1. Issuing a Fatwa can be done by a mufti or Marja only, but he is none of them.

2. Returning back to the values of the 1979 Islamic Revolution: He was not a serious supporter for the Islamic revolution before it and after it until the end of life of Ayatollah Khomeini. In fact it is an election propaganda made by partisans of his party to show him being revolutionary clergy, but only after the revolution! His opinions about Islamic state is completely different with the ideas of Ayatollah Khomeini. please see religious democracy.

3. Mohsen Gharavian is correct not the name mentioned in the article.

4. Decisions about use of Nukes is not in the hands of the president in Iran but it is up to decisions of Supreme Leader who is commander-in-chief according to Iranian constitution.

I regret to say that the writer of this article is in political and religious bias.

Hi, Thanks for answering. I'm not disagreeing with you, but in order to meet Wikipedia standards we need to rely on sources conforming with WP:V. If you have cites (preferably in English so readers can refer to them and evaluate) to support what you are saying above, please it to the article so we can achive NPOV on this article. • He is not introduced as a Marja yet enabling him to issue any fatwa: The best reference for this is his official web site with following address. http://www.mesbahyazdi.org/ There is not any resalah known to be related to him. And since he is mainly a philosopher and not a faqih, it will never become a reality in the future. The word fatwa should not be used to express his ideas.

I can't read in Farsi. However, I found nothing on his English Website stating that he is not trained in Islam. 2+2=5 is false. This person has spent a lifetime on Islam.--Patchouli 19:57, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

• There is no evidence for his involvement in the 1979 Islamic revolution of Iran exept being student in Qom city. No jail, no exile, no torture by SAVAK, no declaration against Shah etc. exist in his biography in his web site.

• The values of 1979 Islamic revolution: This term is not defined in the article. No body can underestand if it is relates to good things or bad things!

Professor Crocodile

I think it would be good to give the actual cartoon a place on the page. Here is one site that claims to have the cartoon [1]. There may be others, but the point is that if we can get an good-to-use image of the cartoon, it would add a lot to that section. The Behnam 19:08, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Nikahang Kowsar was arrested for his depiction of "Professor Crocodile", a reptilian academic who was shown strangling a journalist with his tail. The cartoon has been interpreted as a reference to Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, leader of fundamentalism in Iran

Slavery and Agression in Islam

This reference (#14) to the fact that Ayatollah Mesbah supports slavery and agression in Islam is no longer available (the link cannot be displayed). I have never heard this about him, and it sounds more like something political opponents want to accuse him of. Yes he is a radical fundementalist, but to support slavery would be a huge jump. If any further reference to this fact cannot be found, it should be removed, or marked as no reference (i dont know how to do that) 69.235.25.79 (talk) 23:09, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
