Left Spine Down

Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada; Left Spine Down (also known by the acronym LSD) is a band that plays a style of music they refer to as iPunk fusing the sounds of Industrial, Metal, Punk and Drum & Bass.[1][2]

The band features Jeremy Inkel of Industrial music legends Front Line Assembly and Denyss McKnight former bass player of Vancouver punk music veterans The Black Halos.[3]

The group self released their first album entitled the Smartbomb EP in June 2007[4][5][6] and it was met with a very frenzied reception from both fans and friends of the band. The EP was produced by Front Line Assembly/Noise Unit’s Chris Peterson and is currently for sale on the bands website and on iTunes.[7] Their debut LP entitled Fighting for Voltage was released April 22 2008 on Synthetic Sounds in Canada and a cross Canada tour followed in support of the album.[8][9] Bit Riot Records picked up the rights to the release of Fighting for Voltage in the USA and released the album on September 23 2008.[10][11]

The band has been very active in the Vancouver, BC live music scene over the last few years sharing the stage with The Birthday Massacre, Combichrist, DOA, SNFU, Genitorturers[12], Chemlab[13], 16 Volt[14] and Front Line Assembly, to name a few.

The band is personally managed by Mark Sommer of Synthetic Entertainment; one of Western Canada’s leading industrial/ebm/goth rock booking agents and concert promoters.
