  • I just want to note you could have overwritten the redirect with the article yourself as the page exist so doesn't count as page creation which requires an account. KTC (talk) 05:52, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. That was something I did not know at all. As you may have seen I went through the formality of requesting the redirect be deleted. I had not fully appreciated that they live in article namespace. I do thank you for helping with the article creation though. 67.86.73.252 (talk) 15:37, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. If you edit without a username, your IP address (67.86.73.252) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Hello! I've noticed that you have edited Wikipedia without logging in to an account. I'm happy that you've been contributing. However, I urge you to create an account. Here is a list of the benefits of having an account:

There are no cons to signing up for an account. In fact, there are more pros here! Signing up is completely free and you don't need to enter any personal information! Plus you can have a user page like mine! So, unless you can think of a con, sign up for an account right now! CWii(Talk|Contribs) 16:31, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! you recently requested a disambiguation page for the Mississippi Queen. I think that it would be more appropriate to put For the steam boat see Mississippi Queen (steamboat) on the Mississippi Queen article. I will review policy for disambiguation pages. Thanks, CWii(Talk|Contribs) 17:48, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I really want you to get an account. Really, please. I really want you to get an account. It only takes a few seconds. No e-mail needed. Please, there will be a cookie in it if you do ;) CWii(Talk|Contribs) 18:10, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Just an reminder :) CWii(Talk|Contribs) 18:11, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Central Norwalk

Great job with the links -- thanks! By the way, I hope you realize that creating an account gives you more privacy, and if you already have one account it's acceptable to create another (as long as it's not used abusively for double votes and the like). Cheers, Noroton (talk) 20:29, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see you added a "History" section for Central Norwalk to the discussion page. Why not transfer it to the article page? (You have footnotes there which go to other Wikipedia pages. WP does not want you to do that. A wikilink is fine, if necessary.) Great work! Noroton (talk) 15:25, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved the proposed History section to the article and removed the reflist template from the discussion page. I apologize to the WP folks I've offended with that template placement. I had left it (the proposed new section) there on the discussion page simply to polish it up a bit and I was also concerned with the ordering of the sections in the article (it seems to me that a proposed West Avenue redevelopment that might take place in the future ought to go last e.g.). I am still not inclined to register for a few reasons, the two strongest being that I prefer to limit the amount of time I spend editing wikipedia and I also prefer to stay out of political discussions. I think I have noticed a high burn out rate among newly registered users and I suspect I can avoid that by avoiding registration. I do not think I suffer any delusions of privacy (I could be wrong about that though). 67.86.73.252 (talk) 23:18, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seathwaite Fell- it wasn't me

Re the pencil comment and your post on my talk page.

No, I didn't add it, since I know it to be untrue. I've been to the graphite mine and its definitely on Grey Knotts. If you check the Seathwaite Fell history page you'll see I moved the graphite assertion from the middle of a paragraph into its own 'other information' section and added the [citation needed] tag so that whoever originally put it on could attempt to justify it.

There's really no need to create a fuss, just make the changes you suggested a few days ago. You don't need anyone's permission.Bobble Hat (talk) 15:59, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit to Stamford, Connecticut (diff) was reverted by an automated bot. The edit was identified as adding test edits to the page. If you want to experiment, please use the preview button while editing or consider using the sandbox. Thanks! (Report bot mistakes here) // VoABot II (talk) 00:21, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In my defense: two edits had been made by User:Thedreadedcircle, both needed to be backed out since that user's edits were test edits (not mine). Unfortunately the "undo" link on the history page will only back out the most recent change (at least when used by an unskilled user such as myself). It is too bad that VoABot_II did not backout either or both of User:Thedreadedcircle's edits, but I understand that as an unregistered user I am subject to higher suspicion. 67.86.73.252 (talk) 00:34, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of NRHPs in Fairfield County

Hi and thanks for the improvements you made to List of Registered Historic Places in Fairfield County, Connecticut. With respect to changing the location of the Norwalk River Railroad Bridge from South Norwalk to Norwalk, I entered it as South Norwalk because that's the way it's listed in the National Park Service database. The consensus at WP:NRHP has been to use the names and locations in the official database unless they are clearly erroneous (primarily misspellings). Keeping the list in line with the NPS database makes it easier for editors to crosscheck the list here for completeness and accuracy. Unless you feel strongly that it shouldn't be listed as South Norwalk, I'd prefer to switch it back. --Sanfranman59 (talk) 01:11, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My preference is not strong enough to override your preference to follow the NHRP list. I simply took the column title "City or Town" as what was preferred. In my edit comment I noted that South Norwalk stopped being a city. As you probably know there is now only a city of Norwalk and South Norwalk is a neighborhood within that city, but the Federal government may not have caught up to the 1913s yet :-). I'll try to refrain from editing the article in the future. Please revert my change if you prefer. 67.86.73.252 (talk) 01:29, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I certainly don't want to deter you from editing the NRHP state/county lists. We need all the worker bees we can get on this project and your other edits were improvements IMHO. I just wanted to broach the topic with you before I undid that particular edit of yours to explain my reasoning. Happy editing! --Sanfranman59 (talk) 02:07, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wappani

Hi, and thanks for your edits to Wappani. It had been sitting largely untouched since I wrote it more than a year ago. I finally got around to working on it on Thursday, and it's nice to see someone else has something worthwhile to add. Norwalk Wiki

Greetings, great work on Norwalk related stuff. I recently created the Norwalk Wiki for everything that would not otherwise be notable enough for Wikipedia. Its brand new, so we need to get the word out about it. I invite your correspondence. Pontiff Greg Bard (talk) 23:02, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note and thanks for setting up the Norwalk wiki. I had been using the [1] site for community gossip (as opposed to community articles). I am curious: what is the connection to Norwalk for someone whose spent the last 14 years in Chico, CA? Thanks. 67.86.73.252 (talk) 23:41, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I was born and raised in Norwalk before I went to school out in Chico. I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to refer to things from my hometown. In the course of your blogging, be sure to link to articles in the Norwalk Wiki, so the word gets out, and so the Google ranking goes up. Any help on the ground out there would be appreciated. Be well, Pontiff Greg Bard (talk) 09:25, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
