The Red Cross Youth is a youth organisation for adolescents and young members interested in the organization.

It is one of the 3 active divisions besides Adult Volunteer Division (AVD) and Chapters Division under the Singapore Red Cross. It finances its own operations and activities.

The Singapore Red Cross Youth comes under the command of Singapore Red Cross Society with the following appointments:

The Red Cross Youth management is also organised into Committee's which consist of the following:
- The Steering Committee(SteerComm) of Red Cross Youth develops and endorses major policies for RCY.
- The Executive Committee(EXCO) deals with Operational issues, especially cross cutting ones which require coordination.
- The District Committees are accountable to the SteerComm for the efficient and effective operations of the respective school units.
Direction of RCY: HQ train VIs, and VIs will in turn, train Cadets.
Red Cross Youth is a ranked organisation, and members fall into a hierarchical structure of command. Red Cross Youth ranks run from Member, through Corporals, Sergeants and Officers all the way up to the Director. However,it is difficult to equate the rank structure to equivalent ranks in other military/paramilitary organisations.
Cadet Movement
The Red Cross Youth seeks to:
- promote and encourage the participation of children and young persons in the work of the Red Cross.
- inculcate healthy living habits.
- develop a sense of social responsibility.
- strengthen the band of international friendship existing between Red Cross Youth members throughout the world.

Badge Scheme
The objective of the Incentive Badge Scheme is to encourage cadet members to take an interest in subjects outside their normal academic curriculum and to widen their interests by carrying out these activities during trainings. Such activities may also be organized by their respective Districts. Certain activities are also organized by Red Cross Head Quarters.

Upon completing their secondary education, ex-cadets may continue their service to the Red Cross Youth unit. Ex-cadets may choose to just return as friends of the school and conduct training for their juniors, or undergo further formal training to prepare themselves to be appointed as Volunteer Instructors (VIs).
Description of rank structure
All ranks are worn on the Epaulettes with Assistant Cadet Officer (ACO) as the lowest and Special appointments such as Director as the highest.

Awards and Commendations
Hong Kong
Most of the Hong Kong Red Cross Youth units are established in secondary schools, although some are ”open units” that are targeted to adolescents whose school does not have such unit. As of 2006 there are 252 Red Cross Youth units.
Philippines
The Red Cross Youth is one of the Service of the Red Cross Movement. Every individual whose age ranges from 7 - 25 years old may join this Premiere Humanitarian Organization. In the Philippines where youth are actively taking part in changing the view of others, the Red Cross Youth is one of the medium in changing lives and making a big difference in each and every schools and communities. The Caloocan City Chapter was known to be the most active chapter among the chapters in said country, they were known for their continuous activities, concern to the youth, and effective leaderships. The Red Cross Youth in this country is continuously serving the communities and the most needy. This Voluntary organization is one of the leading youth organization in the Philippines because it is also recommended by the country's Department of Education and Commission on Higher Education that there should be a Red Cross Youth Council in its respective areas. In the Whole country there is one supreme council in which they termed as the National Youth Council, and in every chapter there should be its supreme council in which will lead in every schools and communities and it is termed as the Chapter Youth Council.
