Dr. Taylor Hamilton Hayes Forrester (formerly Rashid, and Marone) is a fictional character in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. The character has been played by actress Hunter Tylo since May 1990. She is a renowned psychiatrist, whose medical expertise is always tempered with her enormous heart and her compassion.

Relationships

Blake Hayes

She had left him due to mental illness and abusive nature. Blake arrived in LA, determined to win her back, in 1991. After several failed attempts (including using Caroline Spencer's twin Karen Spencer) to break up Ridge and Taylor, with the help of Margo Lynley MacClaine (Lauren Koslow), Blake left town.

Ridge Forrester

Taylor was originally introduced as Ridge's then-wife Caroline Spencer's (Joanna Johnson) oncologist. Taylor and Ridge grew close following Caroline's death, and eventually fell in love. Taylor saw her old college classmate Grant Chambers and gave him a sensual smooch but told him not to tell Ridge anything about their involvement. Ridge and Taylor married in 1992, but when Taylor was presumed dead in a plane crash in 1994, Ridge married Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), a woman he had been engaged to when Caroline was married to Thorne. Taylor was revealed to be alive, and she soon returned to LA. This devastated Brooke as it meant that her marriage to Ridge was invalid. However, Ridge didn't want to disappoint the children he had raised as a step-dad, and he divorced Taylor to be with Brooke. However, Ridge and Taylor started to find their way back together, after Stephanie placed Brooke in jail and threatened to take her kids away from her. Brooke lost her mind and Ridge went and found her and propose to marry her again. Stephanie,was against the idea and Taylor encouraged Grant to go after Brooke. Stephanie lied and said Brooke and Grant were having an affair and this led to Ridge proposing to Taylor on a run way while Taylor was wearing Brooke's wedding dress. Ridge also placed Brooke's promise ring on her finger. Taylor called off the wedding after she discovered that Ridge got on a motorcycle and raced across town to stop Brooke from marrying Grant Chambers. Brooke found out and Ridge and Brooke got reacquainted again. In 1997, Taylor got pregnant with Ridge's child. When she came over to break the news of her pregnancy to Ridge, however, she saw Ridge in bed with his fiancee Brooke and assumed that she had lost Ridge. Thus, she and Thorne Forrester decided to pretend that her baby was THORNE'S, which devastated Ridge who wanted desperately for the baby to be his. Even when Ridge and Brooke were engaged in late 1997, Ridge was shown in his office having flashbacks of times spent with Taylor and wondering "what happened" to them. Taylor gave birth to Thomas Forrester (Drew Tyler Bell) in early 1998, and although Brooke was determined to keep the baby's paternity from Ridge since Taylor told her she "didn't want her to reveal the truth to him" Taylor instead decides to reveal the truth to Ridge and tells Brooke she changed her mind. He was ecstatic, and though he was especially upset at Brooke for keeping the truth from him, he did a lot of soul searching and decided to divorce Brooke and leave his step children Rick and Bridgett and to marry Taylor and raise Thomas with her. There is still speculation if Thomas belongs to Ridge or Dr.Warwick. This scene is where Brooke got the reputation for being the devious one even though Taylor told Brooke to keep the secret from Ridge. The couple re-married in mid-1998, and had great expectations for raising a family together. In 1999, Taylor gave birth to twin girls, Phoebe (MacKenzie Mauzy) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Taylor "died" for the second time in 2002, when she was accidentally shot by Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), in the process of trying to save Brooke from Sheila's bullets. She was revealed to be alive in May 2005, and she and Ridge (who had again married Brooke during Taylor's absence) reunited, before splitting in January 2006. Ridge has nonetheless vowed to be there for Taylor when she needs him. Ridge and Taylor recently have reunited to save their daughter, Steffy, from marrying Brooke's son Rick and their love is being reignited by the use of anti-anxiety medication which Ridge has been sneaking from taylor after she gave him one pill to help calm his nerves. This adds a new twist and turn to their ongoing love story.

Storm Logan

In 1990, Taylor started a close relationship with Brooke Logan's brother who was a former high school classmate of hers, Storm Logan. Storm came to Los Angeles to practice law and the two began flirting. At the same time though, Taylor was still hung up on Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) who on his behalf was in love with Brooke Logan who was currently married to Ridge's father, Eric Forrester. Even though Taylor and Storm were engaged, these two were never shown to have had a sexual affair. Shortly after their engagement ended, Storm left Los Angeles to move to San Francisco to practice law.

Taylor has an adulterous affair with James Warwick, but not on purpose

In 1993, Taylor, while married to Ridge, participated in a one night stand with her mentor Dr. James Warick (Ian Buchanan). When Taylor and James were trapped in a blizzard at Big Bear and believed that they would die, the virginal James begged Taylor to make love to him before they died. She kissed him feverishly as James lips canvassed her cleavaged. He later thanked her for complying to his request. They survived and Taylor kept their tryst a secret for years.

In early 2006, Taylor finally revealed the truth to Ridge, who pointed out that Taylor was a hypocrite by attacking Brooke for making similar mistakes with men. Ridge ended his relationship to Taylor and returned to Brooke Logan.

Prince Omar

After Taylor's 1994 plane crash, she was rescued from the wreckage by Prince Omar Rashid (Kabir Bedi) of Morocco and taken back to his palace. Omar renamed an amnesiac Taylor "Laila". Taylor slowly regained her memory and wished to return to Ridge. Finding the means and freedom she called Ridge on the day of his marriage with Brooke. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't successful in finding her husband and soon the marriage took place. Omar explained that Ridge was happily married to Brooke now. In the end Taylor agreed to stay with Omar and married him in his palace. Taylor returned to LA with Omar, when her father had a heart attack but later decided to remain in LA for good. Omar understood that Taylor really loved Ridge and returned to Morocco.

Taylor was supposedly shot dead in October 2002. In May 2005 it was revealed that she had not died, but was, in fact, comatose. Omar had kidnapped her from the hospital, replacing her with an extremely convincing dummy, and taken her back to the palace. Taylor, still in a coma, had stayed with Prince Omar again for another year or two while Brooke and Ridge were married. When she awoke from the coma, she escaped from the palace, with the help of Dante Damiano (Antonio Sabato, Jr.)another possible affair which was never revealed on screen.

Hector Ramirez

The character of Hector was introduced in 2004, when his daughter Caitlin (Kayla Ewell) was employed as an intern at Forrester Creations. Hector set his sights on Taylor, who was then married to Ridge (Ronn Moss). While Ridge and Taylor's marriage was going through problems, Hector began a flirtation, Taylor shared two passionate kisses with Hector. She encouraged his advances since she and Ridge were having issues over Thomas becoming engaged to Gabby. Unfortunately for Taylor, Brooke caught Hector and Taylor (wearing a negligee) kissing each other in "Taylor and Ridge's" bedroom. Brooke did not use this as an attempt to win Ridge back which is what Taylor would have done. Instead Brooke sent Ridge back to Taylor and rejected his advances for several years and became involved with Nick Marone at this time. Taylor's marriage to Ridge however still ended even though he knew he wouldn't be able to win Brooke back since she didn't trust him and he decided to divorce Taylor due to her hypocrisy in the way that she treated Brooke. Brooke was the slut while she was supposedly the virtuous one.At this time did Ridge realize that he wanted to be with Brooke. And he told Taylor that he really didn't know the real her. Ridge would have stayed married to Taylor if he had never discovered that she had an adulterous affair with James Warwick while they were married. Something Brooke had never done to him which he emphasized to Taylor. Later on after a fire accident had left Hector blind and homeless, Taylor took him to her house. Soon though Hector realized that Taylor and he would never be more than friends and decided to move out.

Taylor kills Darla, but not on purpose

When a slightly inebriated Taylor accidentally ran over and killed his wife Darla (Schae Harrison) (who had tripped in the middle of the road) on a foggy night in July 2006, Thorne (Winsor Harmon) turned to Taylor for support, not knowing that it was Taylor who had killed his wife. A guilty Taylor wanted to confess, but Phoebe and Hector insisted that she stay quiet, for fear that she would go to jail.

Thorne Forrester

Taylor and Thorne dated each other and he took her to an AAA meeting in which she revealed she had slept with several strange men. The men were never shown on screen. Taylor developed a bond with Thorne and his daughter Aly (Harley Graham), but when Thorne proposed to her, she confessed to him that she was the one who had run over Darla. Thorne was furious at first, but eventually testified for Taylor in court, this leading to her being set free. Thorne and Taylor became engaged, but broke off the engagement when it became clear that Aly, who had recently discovered the truth about Darla's accident, did not want Taylor as a stepmother.

Stephen Logan

In June 2006 Taylor became attracted to Stephen Logan (Brooke Logan's father) who she had a one nightstand after she sold him 2% of Forrester's Creations giving Nick sole control of the company. She sold it to get back at Stephanie Forrester for using her to keep Brooke and Ridge apart. And also because she was always there for the Forresters and now that she had drinking problems nobody would help her.

After Brooke found out about the one night stand, she raked Stephen over the coals for getting involved in her life and wanted him out of her life since he abandoned the family years ago. And now it upset her that he was still interfering in her life trying to take the 2% Stephanie had offered her to get back with Ridge. Stephen decided to leave since Brooke blamed him for most of the problems in her life. However, she had no issues regarding him sleeping with Taylor except for his attempt to try to make up for lost times of not being a father to her.

However, Taylor was slapped by Stephanie after she suggested that Stephanie was interested in having an intimate affair with her son Ridge. And that Stephanie and she were just alike and she primarily wanted her to be with him so she could vicariously live her fantasies out through her.

Nick Marone

Nick Marone and Taylor became engaged in March 2007 and began trying to conceive a child. Brooke, Nick's ex-wife, became determined to win Nick back after Ridge pummeled her son. Thinking she made the wrong choice in mates she went back to Nick hoping to be reunited to no avail. In April 2007, they were told by Dr. Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) that Taylor could no longer conceive, and they have now conceived via IVF. However, they are unaware that Brooke's eggs may have been mistakenly implanted in Taylor. Bridget was told by the chief of staff that Brooke's eggs were taken out at 7:35 to be defrosted and the donor eggs were mixed with Nick's sperm at 7:40, so there was no way that Brooke's eggs could have been implanted into Taylor. Taylor and Nick married on May 1, 2007, and Taylor gave birth to a son, Jack Hamilton Marone on October 15. A DNA test was run after Jack was born, which proved that Brooke was in fact his biological mother. Brooke reassured a livid Taylor that Jack was Taylor's son, not Brooke's, and signed away her parental rights. Taylor did not sign the papers immediately as she had problems bonding with baby Jack. Eventually she did started seeing Jack as her son. Later on thought Taylor was brought to her last strength, when Nick kept on siding with Brooke and furthering Brooke's obsession of being baby Jack's mother. Also, Nick kept on secretly taking the baby to Brooke. Taylor was on the verge again with alcoholism when she left Nick due to his unresolved feelings for Brooke. Brooke and Nick used the alcoholism against Taylor which caused her to lose custody of baby Jack to Nick. After that, Taylor finally unleashed her rage at Brooke, blaming her for going after her husbands and her son. This caused a final melt down and she was about to drink from a large bottle of vodka, until Rick Forrester (Kyle Lowder) put a stop to it and gave her some confidence that she desperately needed, in her fragile state.

Rick Forrester

Rick has always admired Taylor and as a child told Taylor that he wished she was his mother. During the ordeal with baby Jack and Brooke, Rick came closer to Taylor and supported her by trying to show her what an incredible woman she was. In one time Rick kissed Taylor, but she stopped him. Soon enough thought Taylor came to admit that she had feelings for Rick too and they entered into a relationship. However when she realized that her daughter still had feelings for Rick, Taylor broke things off with him.

In the meantime Brooke having found out about the relationship during the baby Jack situation and trial she believed that Taylor was dating her son to get back at her for all the years of pain Taylor has endured by Brooke's hand. She was against it and that fueled their dispute over baby Jack. In the end though Rick defied Brooke and taken Taylor's side when his mother proclaimed that she would take custody of Jack from Taylor. Rick and Taylor presented papers to Brooke proclaiming that they will fight her for custody. This has placed Brooke and Taylor, who have always been rivals, even farther apart than ever before. While Brooke was opposed, the judge granted Taylor joint custody of Jack.

Brooke kept on disapproving the relationship between Rick and Taylor, and this caused even more friction between Brooke and Taylor. In one of their many arguments Rick said you cannot control your feelings, to which Brooke replies: 'but you can control who you hurt'. This is actually ironic since Brooke had betrayed her daughter Bridget Forrester twice by getting involved with one of Brooke's ex-husband Nick and Bridget's first husband Deacon Sharpe. And she and Deacon conceived a child, while her daughter was still married to him.

Rick eventually asked Taylor to marry him. Taylor could not give an answer as she was worried over how her daughter (who was in Australia at the time) would react.

After the custody drama Phoebe found out about Taylor and Rick's relationship. Taylor broke it off with Rick, because she felt that her daughter could not handle it. In a surprise U-turn, Phoebe told Taylor that she would not stand in her mother and Rick's way. Rick then proposed to Taylor again, who accepted as long as Thomas and Steffy, her other two children, agreed. Steffy returned and gave her mother her blessing.

Storylines

Taylor and Stephanie's Friendship

From the start the two women's relationship had been on solid ground. After Caroline’s death Stephanie always saw the perfect wife for her son in Taylor and Taylor could see in her a strong motherly woman. Through the years they had held a strong respect and had been a good friend each one to the other. That thought changed for some time during the last years and especially while Taylor struggled with alcoholism. Especially then it seemed that the Forrester had pushed her on the side. Lately thought, as of 2009, it seems that Taylor and Stephanie's friendship slowly blossoms again.

Several missing pockets of time

There is speculation over the true character of Taylor since she has gone missing from the canvass of the show several times throughout it's history. Missing years, the time she was married to Prince Omar. It was never elaborated upon. Her relationship with Grant Chambers, Blake Hayes, Storm Logan, Dante, Thorne,Pierce and Eric Forrester were never fully shown or told. The second time she died and stayed at Prince Omar was also never emphasized. Taylor's siblings, father, her past teenage years and college or high school teenage relationships have also never came to the forefront as well. Nor has her childhood past. Taylor actually appears to be the only one on the show that is an enigma. Everyone else's dirty laundry is out in the open except for this characters. And the little piece of knowledge is usually told by the doctor who has a penchant for lying and avoiding revealing too much information. However, she is nicknamed as the saint and was taken in by Stephanie to be the good girl as oppose to Brooke the bad girl. Her flaws are also heavily white-washed or camouflaged as oppose to her rival Brooke Logan who has been constantly unmercillessly criticized throughout the history of the show.

Such a character adds dramatic effect to the show since neither fans of either woman are able to recognize the true villain of the show. There's also speculation that the person who has came back from the dead this time could actually be Morgan Dewitt and ex-friend of Taylor and former girlfriend and stalker of Ridge Forrester.

Taylor and Brooke's Rivalry

Taylor and Brooke have disliked each other for a long time which is a key plot in the show. They mostly hate each other because of Ridge. Brooke and Taylor both love Ridge. Taylor married him which Brooke didn't like since he had married Taylor about two years after Caroline's death. Also, Brooke didn't like that Ridge hadn't known Taylor that long, but had known Brooke and Caroline for a longer amount of time. Ridge was Brooke's fiancee, and then Caroline's fiancee and Taylor came on the scene and married him in about two years after her first introduction. And Brooke was always suspicious regarding her past because her past was only partially explored.

After Ridge's and Taylor's wedding, Brooke tried multiply times to get between the couple and quite a few times she had managed to achieve her goals. In the end though, it was Taylor's first death that left Ridge marry Brooke.

When Taylor returned Brooke was devastated as her marriage to her 'love' was false. Soon the triangle came into motion onre more.

Years later Taylor 'died' again, shot by Sheila Carter. After Taylor's "death" Ridge married Brooke again as he usually did once Taylor was killed. Omar, the Prince, confiscated her body and made it appear as though she was dead. Once she came back the trianglwe returned again.

As of now, it turns out that Brooke is supposedly the biological mother of Jack Hamilton Marone, Taylor's child. Taylor had been dating and became engaged to Brooke's son Rick Forrester while having sexual fantasies about Ridge Forrester who's now engaged to marry Brooke again. She feels she can't bond with Brooke's biological child. However, Brooke's ties to Nick Marone her ex-husband could lead to derailing the marriage plans since Ridge isn't comfortable with Brooke having ties to her ex-husband. She is sincerely heartbroken about giving up her baby to Brooke, (which Rick Forrester suggested that she do but he's also never wanted Brooke and Ridge together due to Ridge's horrible treatment to his mother in the past).

Taylor achnowledges that shes been in Competition

Taylor is still having problems bonding with Jack Marone (Nick and Brooke's biological child) and relays her concerns to Rick. Rick tells his mother Brooke and she calls Nick to give him this information. Nick and Brooke confront Taylor on her issues to raise Jack and she acknowledges that she's having problems bonding with the baby. She implies that Jack's connection to Brooke is a factor but minimizes the statement after Brooke becomes offended. They suggest psychological help and both promise to help her raise the child if she needs help.

Taylor has also decided to give up baby Jack to Brooke since he's more calm in her presence as oppose to Taylor's. Taylor acknowledges to Nick that she's been in competition with Brooke for so long and hasn't realized it and she wants to do what's best for baby Jack and that's Brooke. She also believes that the baby is possibly picking up on the animosity she has against Brooke. Nick relates to her how this decision could cause problems in Ridge and Brooke's relationship. And she tells Nick, "To forget Ridge and that Jack needs what's best for him now and that's Brooke."

Taylor leaves Rick

Later that evening in bed with Rick Forrester, she starts wondering if Ridge will be able to bond with Baby Jack, then she has a sexual fantasy about when she and Ridge were married, and she removes Rick's hand from her and says to herself, "I have got to stop thinking about Ridge." It is evident that the story is moving towards yet another love triangle between Taylor, Ridge and Brooke. Therefore, Ridge and Taylor will experience a potential get together and Brooke and Nick (even though he's currently with Katie) since they're Jack's biological parents. Taylor and Rick were supposed to get married, but she later leaves him after telling Brooke that she won't marry him if Brooke gives her Ridge. On October 7, 2008, however, Taylor invited Brooke to the Taylor-Rick wedding. Three days later, during the Friday "cliffhanger," in a conversation which turned into a shouting match between Brooke and Taylor. Taylor blurted out that who she really wanted was Ridge. And that if Brooke gave her Ridge back she'd leave Rick, Brooke's son.

Taylor Makes her Move

Ridge finds out from Brooke that Taylor is still in love with him. He goes to Taylor's place at the urging of Brooke who wants Taylor to cancel her wedding plans for Rick (Brooke's son). Taylor tells Ridge she loves him and then starts talking about how Brooke will in the end return to Nick. They discuss their past marriage and then Taylor takes Ridge's face and kisses him and he responds back.

Taylor vs. Brooke Yet Again

Taylor comes in and hears Brooke and Ridge arguing over baby Jack and Nick. Taylor becomes concerned because she didn't think giving Jack to Brooke to raise would cause a major problem. She later on speaks to Ridge and encourages him not to marry Brooke, while Rick waits for Taylor to come to their wedding planner appointment. She never shows, but Stephanie Forrester (Ridge's mom) shows up and tells him to give up marrying Taylor because Ridge and Taylor belong together. As Taylor persuades Ridge not to marry Brooke, she comes in and tells Taylor, "To stay the hell away from my family."

Taylor makes a threat to Brooke that she intends on getting her husband back by any means necessary which she claim to have learned from her even though Ridge never left Taylor for Brooke before in the past. And when he did leave her it's because he discovered that she had committed adultery while they were married and it was her hypocrisy of always calling Brooke a slut and whore while she was committing adultery that sealed the deal and caused him to leave her. Brooke was always treated tantamount to a little gnat when Taylor and Ridge were together. He didn't take her seriously and looked at her as though he felt sorry for her since he had no intention of leaving Taylor. However, when he discovered that Taylor was hiding secrets from him and that Brooke had never committed adultery on him before when they were married and he was alive. That's when he decided that Brooke was actually the one he should have married in the first place and she was the much better woman since she stayed true to loving him in her heart regardless of how much suffering and heartache he sent her through. And this is when he decided to pursue Brooke who had moved on to dating Nick at this time. Even though Brooke tried to push him back to Taylor on several occasions not trusting his intentions since he had strung her along for sixteen years of the shows history after he took her virginity from her. And he continued to praise how she was so forgiving and believed the best about everyone even though she had seen the ugly side of life. This and this only is what caused him to leave Taylor. If Taylor's secret and her dubious past and behavior hadn't been revealed then they'd still be together.

In the meantime Rick attacks Ridge on top of the Forrester Creation's building and falls to the concrete only to wake up paralyzed in the hospital. Brooke becomes infuriated with Taylor for not leaving Rick when she told her to and causing the reaction in Rick. Taylor blames Brooke for Rick running after older women since she never had time for him always chasing Ridge when he was married to her.

Rick may help Taylor to get her wish

Rick despises Ridge for destroying his relationship with Taylor and for leaving his mother in a dismal mess when he was a child so he determines to destroy Ridge and Brooke's relationship by any means necessary. Rick yells at Taylor to leave him alone after she comes to visit him in the hospital.

He later discovers he can walk but doesn't tell his mother or Ridge and then demands that if his mother loves him she'll kick Ridge out of the house. Brooke does so after feeling guilty about how she constantly focused on Ridge during Rick's childhood and teenage years and Ridge spends the night at Taylor's house.

Taylor, calls her children and Stephanie to encourage Ridge to have a change of heart by leaving Brooke and remarrying Taylor. Ridge determines to them that he'll stay for now but that he's still committed to Brooke as Taylor continues to massage him and stroke his ego while Brooke is dealing with her son whose faking paralysis.

Rick determines to worsen the situation between his mother and Ridge by causing a rift between Eric (Ridge's step father) and Ridge by relaying to Eric that Ridge tried to kill him while he was in a coma. Eric thereby names Rick as President of Forrester Creations. As this is going on Ridge is still staying with Taylor and comes to her in a dismal state as Brooke backs her son up but at the same time disagrees with Eric by stating that Ridge should have the position. To make matters worse Rick recently edited a video message on the internet by having "Brooke's praising of Ridge as a powerful influence of the company" eliminated and edited the message to sound as if she was praising Rick, her son.

Phoebe Dies

Phoebe lashes out at Rick (while he's driving) for dating and having intmate relations with her mother and for going after her sister Steffy. She blames Rick for leading her mother astray while Taylor was in a very vulnerable place. She claims he was the love of her life and her first love and that he violated the memory of it by dating her mother. She grabs the wheel in an attempt to upset him and they both struggle at the wheel until a crash occurs.

Rick is besides himself and finds Ridge who is distraught with grief and anger. Steffy and Thomas as well as the entire family are in chaos as Ridge wonders to himself how he's going to be able to relay the news to Taylor that her baby is dead. When Taylor does learn of Phoebe's death she is devastated; and ultimately blames herself.

Rick and Steffy

Taylor is furious with Rick for dating Steffy and calls James Warrick and Stephanie for support in breaking them up. She lashes at Rick for dating Steffy to get back at her. She won't allow Rick to take another child from her and claims to be his victim, just like Phoebe was also his victim. Ridge and Taylor decide to later kidnapp Stefyy in an attempt to keep her away from Rick who they believe is still being stalked by a psychopath. Stephanie talks them into believing that Pam wasn't the psychopath and that the nutcase was still walking around.

Thomas is Rick's Stalker

Thomas in a heartfelt admission told Taylor that he's the one who set Rick's home on fire and he's also the one who rigged Rick's car to explode. According to him he wasn't trying to kill him but stop him from going after Steffy. It sickened him that Rick had sex with his mother Taylor (Phoebe's first boyfriend), went after Phoebe and then after Steffy. He called Rick sick and said he was making him sick. Taylor acknowledged that she understood that it was hard for him to see her get enmeshed in people's lives who quite frankly they don't like, such as "Nick and Rick." And it must have been very difficult for him to go through this by himself. And she had to take responsibility for focusing on her own needs and ignoring her son's silent pleas for help. He told her after Ridge left he tried to be the man of the house and felt weak because he hated Rick and he hopes he ends up in hell.

Ridge gives his son a hug telling him that he understands and Taylor and Ridge stand behind Thomas as he tells Steffy the truth. She's sickened by his admission and when she wants to go back to Rick, he tells her he forbids her to go anywhere near Rick. Ridge and Taylor stand behind him as though their in agreement.

Taylor confronts Brooke

Later on Taylor confronts Brooke about wanting Thomas to work at Forrester Creations with Rick. Both Brooke and Rick disagree and Ridge backs up Taylor and goes against Brooke. She tells her that she's upset because Thomas is Ridge and her son. "Our son has just as much righ to work here as your son does."

After the two talk together once Ridge leaves. Taylor blurts out that their marriage is invalid after she tells Brooke that she's going after Ridge, Brooke tells Taylor "I knows you fantasize about him at night, you're becoming just like Stephanie, manipulative and devious."

Taylor drugs Ridge but not on purpose

Ridge gives Brooke an ultimatum. If Brooke doesn't reject her son (silly ultimatum which he usually makes)and forbid him marrying his daughter Steffy then their relationship is over. She doesn't oblige him. He runs off to Taylor who comforts him and takes him to their cabin. She offers him one anti-anxiety pill due to her concern for his mental state. He then steals more from the bottle in her purse when she is out of the room. In this state he tells her he loves her and that it's peaceful with her. He steals more medication from her to be at peace. However, he goes back to Brooke to work on their problems, until Rick calls and he realizes once more that he cannot be in Brooke's life as long as Rick is, he then tells Brooke he is moving out and leaving her.

Taylor sleeps with Ridge but not on purpose

Ridge and Taylor have an affair after Ridge takes Taylor's anti-anxiety medication. Ridge is still considered to be Brooke's common-in-law husband since they were believed to be married until the writers decided to make the marriage invalid for the fourth time (which means they've been common law husband and wife for four times), but he did move out of the house and leave Brooke 5 days (real time) prior to the affair with Taylor.

Brooke is wearied and hands Ridge over to Taylor

Brooke leaves Ridge after a guilt ridden Ridge exposes his adulterous affair with Taylor. She comes to a realization that he could never unconditionally love her due to her son Rick. The man he blames for killing his daughter. Earlier, Brooke confessed to Katie that she didn't think she could continue this needless tug of war between her and Taylor for Ridges' heart. After contemplating about the situation and her inability to constantly fight Taylor for the man she loves she decides to give up. She tells him to marry Taylor. Maybe they can console each other in their grief. Ridge doesn't want to leave the marriage but admits he could never forgive Rick. Which is something Brooke has come to the conclusion of as well. Rick or some other excuse would always be a thorne in their side. And she walks away.

Ridge asks Taylor and their kids if he can move back in with them. Taylor accepts, but only in the guest house. Over the coming weeks, Ridge and Taylor will grow closer.

Taylor proposes to Ridge

Taylor quickly proposes to Ridge who has just gotten out of a relationship with Brooke in an attempt to keep "Brooke from changing her mind and going after Ridge." Brooke does go to Ridge and remorses over her decision to just hand him over to Taylor and feels she made a mistake.

Steffy becomes more like grandmother Stephanie Forrester

Steffy finds them in an embrace and makes it her goal to work along with Thomas to keep Ridge and his not even divorced common law wife Brooke Logan apart from each other.

At Ridge and Taylor's wedding, the couple are about to be pronounced husband and wife before Brooke comes in just in time. Who will Ridge choose?
