Looking at the article you've written, I don't think so just yet. WP:NSONGS states that have ranked on a national chart are "probably notable" (my stress). The song still needs to comply with WP:GNG in that it has been discussed in depth in multiple reliable sources. If you can find any newspaper or music magazine articles that talk about the song in some detail that would go a long way to helping establish notability.

By the way, what source did you use for the Mexican chart position? WP:GOODCHARTS only has a reliable source listed for archives of the Mexican album chart. It would be useful if we had a reliable source for the singles chart as well. --JD554 (talk) 06:46, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear...Anyone who decides to read this including:

And anyone else that I have forgoten. As a result of recent events in which people belive that I am in wikipedia only for myspace, I will now only talk about wikipedia related articles ect. I will only casualy talk to people once in a while. (This rule does not apply to LSP's talk page.)

--Coldplay Expert 17:37, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I want everyone to know that I'm not involved with the myspace thing, I just don't have time to make big edits, and articals, to tell the truth, my first edit got delated, so that kind of detered me from making big edits, so aneway, I not involved with the thing CE metioned above.--Orangesodakid 18:15, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well done, old chap. Rather drastic, if course, but indisputably the most responsible course of action. Even I could not do a thing of such magnitude, Lord Spongefrog, (I am the Czar of all Russias!) 18:18, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I am observing the imbracketed clause at the bottom of said post, never mind. Even better, Lord Spongefrog, (I am the Czar of all Russias!) 18:21, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am not involved with that Myspace Wikipedia thing. From my understanding of the matter, Roux's proposed solution seems to be the best way to handle the situation. Chris had potential to be good, especially looking at his work on Coldplay tour articles. But lately he'd gone down hill by focusing on creating himself new userpages and not editing articles. Latin America Tour II

I don't know if it's part of the Viva La Vida Tour or not, it depends what it gets called by reliable sources. You don't need my permission to create articles, as long as you feel an article complies with the relevant guidelines/policies such as WP:GNG, WP:MUSIC etc then you should be WP:BOLD. Don't forget to add references from reliable sources to show how any article you do created meets the criteria and you should be fine. --JD554 (talk) 06:46, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

Hi Coldplay Expert, I saw that you asked for rollback rights and were asked to wait a bit before asking for it again. (The reason I saw it was because I was looking at your recent contributions in connection with your name coming up at WP:ANI.) Anyway, as a regular user and non-admin who does have rollback I just wanted to advise you to spend some time fighting vandalism by regular means - I know (trust me, I know!) how frustrating it can be to see a vandalism revert fail because somebody else was there first, but try to think about it in terms of how good it is that there are plenty of vandalism fighters making sure that the vandals never get the upper hand. And rollback, you should be aware, should only be used to revert obvious vandalism; good-faith edits that add errors shouldn't be reverted with Rollback. For that reason it is probably a good idea to revert vandalism with regular editing for a while first, making sure that you add explanatory edit summaries if the vandalism isn't obvious. That will show the administrators that you know what you are doing, next time you ask for the tool.

Just my two smallish coins' worth of advice - take it or ignore it as you like. Again, I'm not an admin so these are just my opinions. Best, --bonadea contributions talk 18:36, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wow... is there anyone left for you to be a sockpuppet of? :) You'll get through it okay. Warchief, Nemesis, and to a lesser degree Orangesodakid have had a rocky start on Wikipedia, but it looks like they're good to go now. I just hope they aren't too discouraged by so many ANI threads.

Yeah, there has been quite a bit of drama and suspected sockpuppetry. )IM NOT A SP!) anyway Ive been pretty coll on this and I hope things pass by without much more drama. I am applying to rollback and because of this the admins are asking tons of questions. Another bad thing is that now my reputation is ruined! Ill never be an admin now :(--Coldplay Expert 10:52, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) You're reputation isn't ruined just because you got accused of being a sock! Tons of admins have been accused of worse things! As I see it, you encouraged your friends to get on Wikipedia. When they made mistakes, you not only defended them, you helped them to resolve their issues and taught them what they should do next time. Rather than just protecting them from being blocked, you actually helped them to become better contributors. That I think is incredibly admirable.
Also, I fully support your applying for rollback. I've commented on the thread, hope it helps. I still feel bad for initially accusing you of socking that one time. XD But you're all right. A little insignificant Talk to me! (I have candy!) 15:02, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback permission granted

Administrators have the authority to grant the rollback permission on their own assessment without conducting a formal permission request. I've looked your record over and decided to grant you the permission.

However, abuse rollback and it will not only get revoked, it will make reobtaining the permission FAR more difficult down the track. Consider yourself advised :)

Regards Manning (talk) 23:54, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Remember to take routine block requests to AIV. If things are REALLY out of control and you need urgent intervention, it is usually OK to take it to AN/I, but highlight the urgency of the matter. Be good and good luck. Manning (talk) 00:09, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1) If you write a really long comment, or think you're going to be edit conflictificated, copy-paste the text before clicking save! (of course, you don't paste just yet) Then if you can't save properly, all you have to do is edit again and paste the text.

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied, we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details, there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. Please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
If you are able to edit the sandbox, you are not blocked from editing. Either the autoblock on your IP address has already expired, or you weren't blocked in the first place. Either way, you can resume editing.
  3. If you are still blocked, follow the directions below:
    1. Copy the {{unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "Unblock request" section.
    2. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page, and click save.
If you cannot edit your own talk page, use the Unblock Ticket Request System to make your request.
Thanks, –Katerenka (talk) 01:56, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Be careful with Huggle, please.

At Diamond chess, you repeatedly reverted the blanking of the page, and then reported the user to AIV. Unfortunately, this blanking was done by the page's only substantial author, and was a clear request to delete the page. This is not vandalism - please watch out for this kind of thing. Thanks! ~ mazca talk 22:16, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, as long as you keep an eye out! Huggle's powerful, just remember it isn't a race - make sure you're aware of the situation before you revert something. Keep up the good work, you've done some great anti-vandal work otherwise. :) ~ mazca talk 22:25, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Self-reconfiguring modular robotics edit

Resolved
 – deleted the tag

I was not sure if you would see my reply on my ip address talk page, so i have reposted here. And again, if you can actually see edits to the ip page, tell me and ill stop.

The factual acuracy of he information presented was disputed, while everything in the post is entirely rue and verifyable. The person who made these claims seems to have been worried that these robots would not self-reconfigure (modules disconnect from each other automitically using an AI system and then recoonec in a different order) bu in fact they do. Howver, only prototypes are un-marketed versions of these robot exis with this abiliy, for actualy useful robot in industry and otherwise this is not necessary, though the robot can sense broken modules and replce them itself with new onces, provided that modules are placed in an appropriate storage in a close proximity to the robot. His warning really sours the page, and this post was made in order for university students to which such robots have been donated by Robotics Design Inc. (the manufacturer) to reference their material. Futre posts will come, but i have decided against adding un-marketed protypes and toys to the page, so as to comply wih wikipeida's notability guidelines. I am more than willing to give the commenter the benefit of the doubt that he was legitiamately trying to improve the article, but he is wong, so since me erasing the warning seems to have stirred the hornets nest, I would like to ask for your help in its removal, if it isn't to much trouble. This talk page dissapears, so further communications to me can be done so at helloman911777@hotmail.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.57.98.246 (talk) 22:18, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The warning on the page that says the factual acuracy of the post in in question. It is an entirely factual post, an in an effort to better serve education and protect our patents, this article must be on this page, without a warning that it is a sham, which it is not. Basically do the same change i did.
Thanks alot for your help! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.57.98.246 (talk) 01:06, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Was it really necessary to revert those edits? I am of course flattered that you restored my version, but I saw nothing wrong with those smaal changes he made. Debresser (talk) 23:15, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a big deal. I just like to be carefull with newbies that try to make a good edit. Even if it wasn't much of an improvement. :) See you around, Debresser (talk) 23:24, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
