A warm welcome!

Here to help articles tagged for rescue!

Hi, Victor Silveira, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again — Welcome! Ikip (talk) 06:35, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, reply on my page - Rothorpe (talk) 01:21, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. No, I'm English, but I've been living in Portugal since the 1980s. Cheers! Rothorpe (talk) 22:30, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Prophet

Hi, I received your message and will look over the sites. J04n(talk page) 11:47, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the page will have to be rewritten if it is to stand a chance. Neither MusicMight nor Librarius Metallicus are reliable sources as anyone can add to them. I don't think the coverage of Dean Fasano's death is relevant for the band's inclusion. Some of the foreign-language sites are marginal. Looking at your userpage I am pretty confident that you are more of a linguist than me, so why don't you add the sources? I'll come back tomorrow night and clean it up if it still needs it. J04n(talk page) 02:18, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thank you for answering. I agree the sources about Dean Fasano's death are irrelevant for the article. I just put them there because I told I heard something about the group. However, I think Libraris Metallicus and MusicMight are reliable sources, since they have editorial oversight. In fact, most of the journals in the world accept texts by anyone, however they are evaluated before. Well... I didn't understand what you mean with "marginal". Can you explain me it better? Anyway, I'll add the sources to the article soon and, then, you think about changing your vote or not. Thank you again! Victor Silveira (talk) 10:22, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work

The Article Rescue Barnstar
For saving Prophet from sure deletion I grant you the Rescue Barnstar. May you display it proudly! Keep up the good work. J04n(talk page) 08:04, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, J04n! Thank you very much for this star! It is a pleasure for me to rescue an article which seems to deserve a place in Wikipedia. Surely, I'll continue this work and I hope you keep your work too. Victor Silveira (talk) 09:55, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Acabou Chorare

Updated DYK query On December 21, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Acabou Chorare, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Please look

Hi Victor. Did you see my posting at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Brazil#Cleanup list at Wikipedia:WikiProject Brazil/Cleanup listing#Unreferenced BLPs?. Wondered if you would take a look, give a hand and perhaps spread the word to other countries of your continent, as you find relevant. Power.corrupts (talk) 20:36, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Album_Arthur_Maia_cover.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Album_Arthur_Maia_cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 12:10, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
