His ten-year contract with his former agency, Xing Entertainment has been terminated after the courts has ruled in favor of him. His contract was terminated because of the new law that had been passed pertaining to celebrities which ruled that that if a contract is too long or unfair in terms of the income and the amount of work someone does, the contract will be terminated. According to the court, “His previous company made a 10-year contract with him [Kevin] and now the contract has been terminated.” The court awarded the case to Kevin over XING Entertainment, his former company. The court continued, “A 10-year contract is too long. It’s wrong in the context of social order. XING Entertainment was trying to keep him under them for so long and they were taking rights from him. His profit was also unfairly divided.”[2]
