A new computer animated series Transformers: Prime is currently in the works and is set to premiere October 10, 2010 on The Hub. The Hub is Hasbro's new joint venture with the Discovery Channel. It is said that the characters for the series have appearances that are a cross between their live-action movie and Transformers Animated counterparts. There is speculation that the show will either be a prequel to the live action Transformers movies, set in the same universe or an "alternative take" on the movie universe, while others point to the IDW comic series.
