Couric Was Also Criticised for the Palin Interview, Why No Mention of this in the article?

Couric has also been criticised for conducting a biased interview, and letting her own political biases into the interview process. Yet the article fails to make any mention of this.

And what about the time she gave Al Gore an easy question on his position on nuclear power?

Negativity

There is so much negativity here. Isn't it good enough that she affects people's lives regardless of whether or not you call her an entertainer or a journalist? People enjoy what she does. I believe that the colon cancer and breast cancer awareness campaigns that she did were very important to their respective causes. By the way I don't know if you have noticed this, but there are rarely any "journalists" anymore that tell the story right down the middle with no bias. Has anyone watched Fox News or MSNBC Lately?

TV without pay

Does Television Without Pity rule the television viewer's mind? I had never even heard of that organization. What kind of importance do they have? Saying that the president of a family value organization has expressed against the Howard Stern show, for example, would seem more senseless to me, but Television Without Pity??

The best way to do it is to stick to the facts and leave the praises or critizism out, although I admit, some cases do deserve some expert's opinions, but Kaie Couric is a journalist, and, to me at least, most journalists pretty much do the same thing, they explain the news to their best ability, detaching themselves from a human side to the news and staying neutral. "Antonio Its Saturday, lets Rock baby1!! Martin"

Rewrite

I agree with some revision. Parents' religion?, "why?" Delta Delta Delta? Being invited to live on The Lawn? This sounds like it was written by a sorority sister still stuck in college life, not by someone who has any biographic writing credentials.

Does anyone watch the evening news anymore?

Kouric is going to host a show in decline. So what?

Wikipedians are not the norm.

Sullenberger interview

I've removed the reference to the Sullenberger interview here. I'm not sure the interview was some great notable piece by her and just seems like a minor spat between her and Today (especially since it was weeks apart). The Palin one got national press, but the Sullenberger stuff just seems excessive. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 10:44, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Katie Couric's Notebook controversies section

I have removed all but one of the references from this section, either because the links no longer worked, they are blogs, or they do not meet the WP:RS standards for a biography. It seems to me that this section is being given too much weight as well. If nobody says something within the next week or so, I'll remove it as WP:OR and WP:UNDUE. Gregory Brothers

Surely it's worth mentioning that Couric's been featured in almost every instalment of Auto-Tune the News?--Nick??? 09:27, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

College

She went to college at University of Virginia. She went in 1975. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.172.207.9 (talk) 03:25, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you can provide a reliable source for that, we can use it. - SummerPhD (talk) 14:53, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Project on You!

Katie Couric,

Hi. My name is Kamryn. I am a 4th grade student at Victory Elementary School. Me and my class are doing a living museum at the last day of school. My group is doing a project about you! We are so excited and cant wait! What we have to do is we have to act out a scene that makes you famous. In this case, we are pretending to have our own news channel! I am the camera person and and I am supposed to make a sculpture of you, my friend Marcos is making a story about you, my friend Ellie is pretending to be you, and my friends Bryan and Ingrid are telling where you live and where you do your news channel. I hope you like the ideas!
