Toby Anstis (14 December 196700) is a radio presenter on Global Radio's Heart Network of stations. He presents his morning show weekdays from 10.00am - 1.00pm across the Heart branded network.

Since January 5, 2009, his show has been networked around the country to those former local stations now branded as Heart.

Education

Originally from Northampton, Anstis was educated at an all-boys' comprehensive school, Desborough School, in Maidenhead, Berkshire, followed by Roehampton Institute (now known as Roehampton University), where he studied Psychology and Business Studies. His degree was awarded by the University of Surrey[1].

Career

On television he originally made his name as a presenter of The Broom Cupboard on Children's BBC each weekday afternoon from April 1992 to September 1995. Hosted The Ozone music show on BBC1 and BBC2. He presented at Liberty Radio hosting the breakfast show, and was also a presenter for various programmes on Challenge TV (such as TV Scrabble), before moving to Heart 106.2. In 2004, he appeared in the LivingTV reality TV show, I'm Famous and Frightened!

Anstis made his stage debut as Teen Angel in the West End production of Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre on January 25 2010.

Career highlights

Co-hosted Children In Need, The National Lottery Live and Grandstand on BBC1, as well as Fan TC with Dannii Minogue and Electric Circus for Live And Kicking.

In 1994, he took part in a Challenge Anneka programme, where he contributed a recipe for 'Toby Anstis' Spaghetti Bolognese' to a book in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer. In July 2006, he appeared as a pundit on Big Brother's Big Mouth - one of the several supporting shows for the Big Brother output as well as being a guest on ITV's The Mint.

In October 2006, he appeared on Five's The All Star Talent Show dancing to Justin Timberlake's SexyBack.

In November 2006, he took part in the sixth series of the ITV show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! He was the first person to be voted out of the show, although it was reported the next day in various tabloids including The Sun that there had been a voting error and Dean Gaffney[2] should have gone.

In 2007, he was a judge on VH1's Wannabe and featured on The Killer In Me for ITV1 along with Fiona Phillips (GMTV), footballer John Barnes and political presenter Andrew Neill.

In 2009, he featured on Ready Steady Cook and The Alan Titchmarsh Show. Other work include being an ambassador for The Prince's Trust and DJing at clubs all over the UK and Ibiza.

He recently made a cameo on the BBC3 series 'Mongrels'.

He is currently single and lives at home in West London. He is represented by Nigel Forsyth of 6th Vision talent agency.
