Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu (born October 16, 1986) best known only as Inna, is a Romanian female dance singer from Mangalia, Romania. She debuted in 2008 with the album Hot, produced by Play & Win. The main single from the album, the eponymous "Hot", reached number one in Romania, Portugal, Moldova, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Malta, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Syria, Turkey, Russia, Hungary, Slovakia , Greece and Ukraine.[1][2] The second single promoted from the album, "Love", reached number 16 in Kiss FM's Fresh Top 40 in its debut week.[3] She was nominated for best singer and best single at the Eska Awards in Poland.[2] Inna also released a single titled "Déjà Vu", in collaboration with Bob Taylor (aka Fizz), that was a major hit in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Russia, The Netherlands and Hungary.[2] Her fourth single from her debut album was "Amazing", which reached number one in Inna's home country Romania. The video was shot in Portugal.

In 2009, Inna reached her biggest performance of her career, as her single "Hot" peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Airplay. The fifth and final single off the debut album was "10 Minutes", released in June 2010. The video was shot in London, England.

In August 2010, Inna released the song "Sun Is Up". Directed by Alex Herron, who previously worked with Taio Cruz, Ke$ha and Basshunter, the music video for "Sun Is Up" was shot on August 24, 2010 in Marbella, Spain.
