Andrew Lovett (born 11 November 1982) is an indigenous[1] Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL) for Essendon between 2005 and 2009. He was drafted by St Kilda at the end of the 2009 season, but in December 2009 Lovett was suspended indefinitely by the Saints following allegations of being involved in a sexual assault.[2] He was later sacked on 16th Feb 2010 without having played a match with the Saints after rape charges were laid against him. He was then recruited by former club East Perth.[3]
